06/01/2026: Had ordered takeaway Christmas lunch for 6 people and everything was tasty, ready to serve and hot dishes were steaming hot.

14/12/2025: Super delicious and highly recommended. Bought 10x Christmas lunch menu no. 2 for 245 kr per envelope, which was brought home in warming boxes. There was more than we could eat and we are looking forward to the leftovers tonight. The quality of the food was very high, compared to what we have previously brought home from other places. Super customer service and friendly staff.

01/09/2025: It is always a pleasure to come to Mathiesen! The atmosphere is good and relaxed, where you feel comfortable and know that you will be taken care of in the best way. The service is really good and the waiters are alert and ready to quickly jump in if there is something or if you are missing something. There is a good dialogue and an honest story about the food and what to pay attention to. There is no overselling and you can feel that they want a good experience for their guests, rather than pressuring people into something. They have a distinguished selection of drinks and their food is extremely satisfying. It is especially wonderful to see that fresh hand-peeled shrimp are served, which shows that quality is prioritized, which is also reflected in their food. Their sandwiches with cheese are really good and the size is not to be complained about at all. Their evening menu is also really good and the composition is well considered. See you again soon. 😊

09/01/2026: The food tastes good, but it took an hour and a half to get the food delivered 💀 and then it comes out cold 😱yumsss You'd think you could make the food in 20 minutes max. I can't see how that's possible. Disappointed. And the first time I've made one like this. I'm almost disgusted 😅🤣

16/12/2025: The beef is no longer sashimi meat, and now feels more like a regular burger you can make at home. However, their fries are really delicious :-) love their tarragon mayo

17/04/2025: Lousy service. Was going to pick up package 3 behind the counter. 1 served a customer in the bakery the other 2 arranged bread. 2 stood and waited to pick up packages. And the 2 then continued to prepare bread, when one was finished she went and served me, when I had received my package I wanted to buy 2 buns, she couldn't take it and called her at the bakery department.... it seems too bad to have to wait for a package when there are 2 who could dispatch 😡

17/11/2025: We have been there before but this time is the last. Buffet cold and boring food. Cold in the room.

22/09/2025: We came in and I could feel the floor was sticky and there was a dead fish. We waited an hour for the food and we were the only ones. We saw the owner come in with a dog. But the food was okay when I got home I had diarrhea. I saw an old gnome swimming with the fish I don't know if he identified himself as a fish.

31/12/2025: I paid 105 kr. for a chicken/bacon sandwich, which most of all resembled something you would throw together in a hurry at home. It was just dry toast, shredded chicken and the usual iceberg/tomato/cucumber filling. At that price, you honestly feel a bit cheated. It's a shame that they don't bother to make more of it. It would take so little, just a homemade hummus, some pickled onions/red cabbage or some arugula, for it to actually taste of anything. Unfortunately, it seems as if the pride in the craftsmanship has completely disappeared. It cannot be recommended.

16/05/2025: After a recommendation from a friend, I finally got to try pizzas from here. I'm really excited. They know what Italian pizza is. They don't fill them with kebabs, fries, salad dressing or anything else strange. No, they have the most amazing combinations, based on original ingredients from Italy. The olives are not from a cheap jar. Ingredients like provolone and nduja adorn their menu. It's a pleasure to find a place like this in Randers.
