17/06/2025: Lovely large outdoor terrace with good shade and good furniture to sit in. The portions were of a good size we had beef tenderloin with fries and bearnaise. Reasonable prices.

24/04/2025: The place seems quite underwhelming at first and indeed the athmosphere and restrooms are pretty basic. Their pizza is freshly baked, thought, and they're really kind to random tourists dropping in.

20/07/2025: Ordered 3 sausage mix “take away” When ordering I am asked about it with everything I say yes please raw onion and curry ketchup 👍🏻 I wait outside, when the food is ready I pick it up, ask if there are any disposable forks, they don't have them, fair enough I can live with that! But when I get to our destination with the food I open it and see 3 trays of sausage Mix (well and marked very small portions) there are only fries and sausages😳 So let me just say that it simply can't be a mistake when asked about it, and at that point I couldn't drive back!! So good advice, open all your food before you drive!!!

29/06/2025: My first experience of Bandholm Badehotel was today with my daughter. Despite the short distance from Nysted to Bandholm, I had never eaten there. I did today and it is definitely worth a visit. The food, a 2-course menu of beetroot tartar as a starter and steamed cod as a main course, both tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. Bandholm Badehotel is classic and beautiful with a beautiful view of the Småland Sea and Bandholm town is a really beautiful little quiet town right next to Knuthenborg Safaripark that also just has to be experienced. A town close to Maribo and the beautiful lakes and Kragenæs / see the Dodecanese and sail to Fejø, Femø and Askø on Eventyr. Can definitely recommend the place. Thanks for the great food👍

29/06/2025: Update. New owner. New menu on the ice cream menu. It needs to be tested. It's Sunday at 1530. The sun is high. Yes, it's windy. There are people on the beach. All good. The ice cream menu has been updated with a lot of fun ice cream. Which unfortunately wasn't available. Whether it hadn't arrived or was simply sold out, the story doesn't say anything about it. Very new girl to serve. She probably should have had a training shift or 2 more. When half of the advertised ice creams were not available. So no ice cream for me. The better half and the kid each ordered a medium soft ice cream for 40 kr. A piece. It's always a discussion about price and size here. Meereeen it was on the very small side. Sprinkle 9 kr extra. See picture. It's probably the most expensive sprinkle I've invested in. 🤣 We were going to stop by and have an ice cream in their ice cream kiosk. It was a boring experience. The soft ice cream machine was down. That's what can happen. But then I think you've grown tired of regular ice cream. Here there were 5 sad varieties to choose from. And you had to scrape the sides to get the ice cream out. 2 girls at the kiosk. And I think they were afraid to serve. One stood and watched what the other was doing. Not encouraging. We chose to drive away again without buying anything.

02/06/2025: Good value for money with surprisingly delicious food and a reasonable selection of food and drinks for both children and adults. The staff can be clearly divided into those who are Danish (super nice and helpful) and those who are not (seemed downright scared and confused when asked about the food, and no smiles to be found). Okay place if you can't tolerate gluten. We got a gluten-free pizza especially for my daughter and the fries were in their own fryer. They were nice to check everything, but neither allergens nor descriptions other than for example "risotto" in the buffet. Here allergen symbols would have made the experience a lot better.

19/05/2025: There were 14 of us down there for dinner on Friday 16.5. and already at night it started for 10 of us and the next day 2 more got sick.. Lalandia says they 'of course' haven't heard about anything.. But it can't be anything other than the food... IS THAT YOUR ANSWER!! IF WE ARE HEALTHY.. YOU SHOULD GIVE US THE MONEY BACK FOR THE 12 WHO ARE SICK... THERE ARE ACTUALLY 4 WHO ARE SO SUFFERED THEY ARE NOT AT WORK YET..

16/07/2025: Made a mistake and picked the Ceasar salad based on the menu pictures here on Google Maps. They have apparently changed it drastically and now it’s just iceberg lettuce (as the ONLY salad component), store-bought croutons and cold, breaded and deep fried chicken and a bit of salty cheese. It was horrible. The only reason I did not complain is because of the extremely long queue. Somehow it’s a surprise to Knuthenborg that it’s summer vacation and so they have not ramped up their service to match the amount of guests. Sad. Only reason I’m giving two stars is because the wild boar sandwich looked pretty decent and the orangery was cosy.

28/02/2025: Some time ago I ordered a Danish steak, had to call to find out how far it had arrived, was told that it was right on the stairs, a little over 2 hours had passed from when I ordered until it arrived. On email they wrote that it would only take 30 minutes. Today I ordered 2 baked goods called 1 hour after the time they had promised! Made him aware that the last time I ordered the food was cold, he got so angry that he hung up, then called to find out when I could expect our baked goods to arrive, I was then told that they wouldn't arrive, but the problem is that I have paid and the money has not been returned. So, with a bit of luck, when we get something to eat before the date changes, we have to delay so that we ordered at 17:45. So a good piece of advice is that it is a place to stay away from.!!! Have now ordered from another place.

05/12/2024: This is the first time we have had pizza from here, but definitely not the last time. It has been a long time since we have had such delicious pizzas.
