21/04/2026: Went in for lunch special and the staff were very patient translating and were helpful with our child. The pasta had flavour and the bread paired had some crunch.

14/04/2026: We had a fantastic dining experience! The steak was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and full of flavor with a beautiful sear. You can really tell it was prepared with care. The fresh salad on the side added a nice, crisp contrast and balanced the meal well. What truly stood out, though, was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Definitely a place I’d come back to for both the quality of the food and the great service!

29/11/2025: We are 4 from Gilleleje who had an experience we didn't see coming, as we just wanted a small beer before going to a concert. Humle Ølbar is highly recommended. Fantastic service and great stories about the beers we were served. It was a pure pleasure.

11/01/2026: 50,- for the flattest pita bread I've ever had; the estimate would be that it weighed 200g. When I mentioned it to the owner, he shrugged his shoulders and said: "that's how it is". I had actually boycotted them for a few years, but wanted to give them a second chance. It turned out that it hadn't changed. The food is nice, but you have to be prepared to pay overpriced.

05/04/2026: I went for the escape room, food and later bowling. Bowling and food were as expected, and worked perfectly. The escape room, on the other hand, was pretty bad. The introduction was a short reading of 5 bland lines, without mentioning a single rule. The idea is that a hint automatically appears every 10 minutes, and you can call for more specific hints. The automatic hints gave us the same hint first in Danish, then in English, and then in both languages, and that's what we got from automatic hints throughout the game. The hint was useful the first time, but it didn't guide us further in the game the second time. When we actively asked for help, the contact system didn't work, or we were just ignored, and we didn't get in touch with the staff again until there were 5 minutes left. If I wanted to be ignored for 45 minutes, I would have called DSB's customer support. At least it's free. But in frustration, we ended up opening locks through sheer persistence, without any idea what puzzles they belonged to, which could in all likelihood have been avoided if we had gotten the help we asked for.

04/05/2026: Dropped in for a couple of Poke Bowls and weren't disappointed. Really fresh and full of flavour. Well worth visiting.

07/03/2026: We ordered takeaway for pickup. When we get home something is missing. We call the restaurant, who apologizes and says they will immediately deliver a double portion to our address. It was really good service.

11/05/2026: Older inn and it's a bit dated, but really good food and friendly staff. Needs to be refreshed a bit in some places, but really well visited.

12/11/2025: I ordered the shooting star and was very disappointed with the freshness of the ingredients. Very little smoked salmon, the asparagus was canned and the white fish smelled and tasted bad. Service was quick and the staff friendly

21/07/2025: Their chicken piece is not fully fried and even though I spoke to the owner, he is completely happy.. And like others say the food gets cold quickly Their Shawarma is not dry or burnt on the sides.

13/12/2025: There is apparently no lower limit to how lousy food you can serve at a Christmas lunch/buffet. Rye bread hard as a rock. Pale bread that falls apart. Slimy salmon, strange fish fillet anything but crispy, duck with soft skin, soft medister sausages, not shiny brown potatoes, meatballs that fall apart. The chef must have an aversion to anything crispy.

13/09/2025: We had high expectations of the restaurant in terms of the quality of the food, but were unfortunately disappointed. The quality and price do not match the food, unfortunately. The fish soup was completely without herbs, but filled with lots of potatoes. Served in a beautiful bowl, but it is not edible. Plaice fillets small and unimpressive / asparagus potatoes with peel and sauce poured over, instead of serving it on the side. It just did not look delicious. Nice wine and good guidance - sweet service-oriented waiter.

04/09/2025: Very unimpressive and lukewarm experience. A young rooster breast of just over 100 grams in size, a white wine sauce that was not enough for both potatoes and young rooster, 4 very small asparagus potatoes and a very modest portion of corn and corn puree. You simply can't charge 285 kroner for that, not even in these times. The portion size would be okay as a main course in a 5-course menu. If you are going to serve such a modest amount of food, it should be an experience in terms of taste. It certainly wasn't. The white wine sauce hadn't reduced long enough, so it was on the verge of not tasting anything. In addition, the potatoes were not freshly cooked, which the core temperature revealed. Actually, I would have preferred to have a dialogue with the restaurateur about it, but despite the fact that he seemed very nice, he paid very little attention to us and didn't ask once if the food was good, as he was busy entertaining the other guests whom he obviously knew. If the food had cost a little more realistically for what you get, I would have not cared and just thought “oh well”, but in this case the price and quality are so far apart that I feel compelled to warn others.
