10/06/2025: We had a fantastic experience here! The burgers and noodle dishes are quite tasty! The kebab had a little too much sauce on it; however, the flavor was tasty. The service and atmosphere were excellent!

01/08/2025: A cozy old hotel with atmosphere. A little worn in places, but clean and neat, after our day's trips we enjoy coming back to the hotel room.

18/05/2025: The food was fresh and incredibly tasty. We tried the kebab and chicken pita, and both were delicious. The highlight was their homemade pizza bread, it was so soft it almost melted in the mouth. However, seating is limited and only available outdoors. Its location near Bonbon land makes it a convenient spot to grab a bite.

13/07/2025: Run down, poorly cleaned, we didn't see a cleaning lady in the four days we were there! In one of the rooms there were large stains on the sheets when we arrived and one of the pillows had disgusting black and red stains! The breakfast, despite all the criticism, had so little to choose from! The dinner that was included tasted the same every night despite different types of meat, the starters were very small and not that good either. My husband and I are retired restaurateurs and have spent our entire working lives in restaurants, hotels & service, with that said, we know how things work! We had to pay 138:- / night for two pancakes without any side dishes (which the first two nights were rock hard and could not be cut) for our five-year-old who only ate this for dinner! There was no children's menu! Our two-year-olds got to choose from four different dishes the first night but the following nights there was only one. We were not given any information about how much it would cost, but got a slight shock when checking out when it cost 89 Danish kronor, i.e. 135 Swedish kronor for a small meal for a 2 year old and a 1.5 year old! We had also ordered four months ago so they had all the time in the world to fix it for us. My husband and I visited Menstrup Kro 13 years ago and then we were really satisfied and thought it would be so much fun to go there again with children & grandchildren! BUT AHH WE WERE SO DISAPPOINTED! AND I PROMISE NEVER AGAIN MENSTRUP KRO!

08/07/2025: Tired, tired, tired hotel, won't be coming here again, everything was in poor condition and really needs a proper renovation, they should close the place until everything is sorted out, looks like something from Mifune's last song, the breakfast was very below average, it looked and tasted like some baked off bread from the tank, eggs etc were cold, the only positive thing was the hotel porter who really tried to keep the mood high, big kudos to him. We have ticked the box, knowing that we have been here, that was it, bad experience, will never come here again😧😂

24/07/2025: The harbour grill – when you want to be both disappointed and soaked in oil at the same time. We were greeted by some sweet and friendly young girls behind the counter – and that was unfortunately also the highlight. The food seemed like a tribute to the absolute cheapest ingredients you can find in Danish retail. Everything was swimming in oil, as if the kitchen had a sponsorship deal with the deep fryer. The burger for 72 kr. was served without ketchup – you could buy that as an option for 7 kr. extra. A dry and cold bun made the experience complete. The rib steak burger was a scandal in itself: the skins were soft as toast and the bun as warm as a park bench in November. French fries? Yes, of course, wavy and discount – served in mind-numbing quantities, as if someone had won a competition in overcompensation. All the food was under-seasoned or not seasoned at all. The taste was mostly reminiscent of something that had been forgotten – both in the planning and on the plate. And to finish with a final touch of amateurism: Our four main courses arrived over three rounds. So we sat there and ate in turns – like a bad picnic with delayed service and greasy fingers. Thanks for the experience, but once is enough. Next time we’ll eat our receipt – it’s probably more exciting than the food.

20/06/2025: We asked for extra onions in a burger, but it couldn't be done, as onions were not part of the burger's composition. It must be said that if you go to McDonalds in Slagelse it's not a problem.
