21/08/2025: Had a delicious brunch served outdoors in the sun, in the pedestrian street. A little worn furniture and a slightly unengaged staff. But the food was really delicious, fresh ingredients and well prepared 👍🏼 The coffee was delicious and the perfect temperature.

07/08/2025: Nice sushi – but disappointing buffet experience. We will probably stick to takeaway in the future. We visited the restaurant on a weekday evening at 7:00 PM with the expectation of a relaxed and cozy buffet experience. Unfortunately, the evening was characterized by long waiting times, impersonal service and a rushed end. Reception and service: We were quickly shown to a table and given an iPad to order. It worked fine in practical terms, but the experience was not that welcoming or personal. Waiting time and food: The first order was placed immediately, but we waited 40 minutes, despite only four active tables. Although we could still get appetizers, it was the sushi that we came for. The second round also took the plus 40 minutes, after which we were told that there was no sushi rice. At 8:30 PM we asked when the food would arrive, and were told that the food would arrive in 5 minutes. At that time we had only had approx. 4 pieces of sushi each and 4 appetizers. The sushi finally arrived at 8:35 PM, but we were now the only remaining table. The rest of the meal felt rushed and disrupted by the beginning of the shutdown at 8:55 PM, when we were told by the waitress that the kitchen closed at 9 PM, so we had 5 minutes to quickly order the rest of the food. This was also noticeable in the food, for example the tempura shrimp in the appetizer had been cooked at too high a temperature and tasted burnt, and they had forgotten an item from our order.

06/09/2025: Randomly dropped by. A cozy little gem in Roskilde with a fantastic selection of beer and delicious food at prices I haven't seen in 25 years. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Roskilde.

18/10/2025: We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, rich flavors, and perfectly cooked pasta. The service was fast and employees very friendly and helpful. Cozy atmosphere made the whole evening even better. 🍝🇮🇹 Place was really beautiful and clean. Penne Bolognese-perfectly cooked and delicious. Pizza Capo was very good and Tiramisu even better. We left with the smile and full belly. Highly recommend this place!👍

19/10/2025: We were here on a Saturday for weekend brunch. Previously this brunch has been really delicious, but now it is a tame experience. The buffet is quite limited and at 11:30 (there is a buffet until 13:00), some of the poor selection looked a bit "tired". It's nice that you get your own drinks - make sure the brunch buffet has something other than herbal tea for tea drinkers, an English breakfast tea is the minimum. They quickly ran out of the most popular dish on the buffet: scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon - it took about 15 minutes before there were a few new bowls again. It's not good on a Saturday during the autumn holidays, when the house was full. After they moved the payment down to the entrance, you have to queue both to get in and in the same queue to pay. It worked much better when payment was made at the counter. It's really a shame that Café Korn has fallen into the "optimization trap" to such an extent that the premises are the best part of the experience. They used to have lovely food made from good ingredients, now it's all a bit shabby and tacky. The food - what was now on the buffet - was pretty ok, but the overall experience was poor. To the extent that several guests commented on this while we were there. It's a shame, Café Korn!

15/10/2025: Ordered takeaway. A bit boring food, got french fries instead of the ordered potatoes and the Burning Love was cold, there wasn't much meat in it and then we found a shrimp in it!

03/09/2025: Really bad experience with Bisque Roskilde I come from Copenhagen to pick up my ceramics, which is a birthday present. Of course I check the website and opening hours before I make the long journey, but I am still greeted with a closed sign as the store is being rebuilt. This was not stated on their website, although the staff says it is on their website when I show up. I call the store and am not met with empathy from the staff over the phone who say they really need to update the website if they are closed for several days. I have to take the long and expensive way home again. Super not optimal for a student who wanted to give a birthday present on time :(((( Can't recommend it less

26/07/2025: Very disappointed – poor handling and lack of respect for the customer's time and effort I had a really bad experience with Bisque in Roskilde. In April, I painted a cup in the store with a friend – an experience we had been looking forward to. About two weeks later, I got a call and was informed that my cup had broken during firing. It was of course disappointing, and I was also told that I could get my money back if I came into the store. I asked myself if I could take the cup home instead of throwing it away. The employee said yes and said that the cup would be put in the bag with my friend's cup. When I later went all the way from Greater Copenhagen to Roskilde to pick up the cup, I was told that I was not allowed to take it home anyway – because I had gotten my money back and because Bisque usually exhibits defective items. I saw the cup I had painted: It was completely intact, but had a mark on the outside from having been in contact with another object during firing. I assume the kiln was packed too tightly. The refund was referred to as “compensation”. However, it was never mentioned that it was conditional on me not being allowed to bring the cup – and I was never given the option of, for example, a partial refund or another solution. It was a clear breach of the telephone agreement. I left disappointed. I subsequently contacted Bisque again and pointed out that as the author I have the rights to the work I have created and that it may not be kept or discarded without my consent. Their response? That their “procedure” is more important than the consideration for the individual customer. They referred to the Danish Sales Act and possible safety problems (since the cup is no longer food-approved), even though I had explicitly said that I only wanted it as a decoration or souvenir – not for food. I even offered to pay part of the amount back just to get the work I had spent time and creative energy on delivered. This was flatly rejected. It honestly seems completely absurd that Bisque so stubbornly refuses to deliver a defective cup, which has zero value to them – but high personal value to me. This despite the fact that I have clearly stated that I do not consent to exhibition or other use, which they themselves had otherwise mentioned as a possibility. The most disappointing thing is not the cup itself, but the way the matter has been handled: No willingness to be flexible. No recognition of the broken promise. No respect for the customer's time and experience. I have gone back and forth twice and have ended up with a standardized refusal and a refund that does not even cover the overall experience – and which I was promised was compensation. It should have been a matter that could be resolved easily and amicably – but Bisque has unfortunately chosen procedures and principles over real customer service. I therefore cannot recommend the place.

13/07/2025: Excellent coffee, lovely staff, and a charming atmosphere. Absolutely recommended! :-)

12/07/2025: Delicious coffee from their own roastery. You can also buy some accessories for the coffee. You also have the opportunity to buy freshly roasted coffee to take home and tea if you are into that. Other things are also sold such as t-shirts with the logo and coffee cups and other small items that certainly support the local coffee shop running around.

26/10/2025: The starter which was soup tasted ok but it was very small about 4 spoons

21/10/2025: Cozy place with good service. We had surf’n turf. One steak was unfortunately very sinewy, but the other on our plate was very good. The chicken burger was also good.

01/09/2025: Ordered a classic Wakes pretzel without whipped cream (for a birthday) and received a chocolate pretzel with whipped cream. (Neither of us really like chocolate) Have written to Bakkegaarden, but haven't heard ANYTHING. Total disregard. But they are probably going down financially.

29/06/2025: We held our baby's christening here. It was super easy, at a very reasonable price, and really nice service and food. It is definitely recommended - it is suitable for about 50 people and preferably not too many more

21/09/2025: have been coming here for many years and there is nothing better in Roskilde. Dropped my kebab today just as I got it in my hands and they made me a new one without me having to pay extra, even though they were super busy!
