19/08/2024: A fairly anonymous brick building with a faded sign, but the impression is deceptive. A rustic terrace overlooking the harbor, chairs without cushions. There's no Danish draft beer. An excellent buffet, including many fish delicacies, includes 7-8 varieties of pickled herring, salmon, and fish cakes. Delicious: the pâtés with asparagus and chicken. A selection of cheeses. We ate here on a Monday shortly after 12:00; the buffet was freshly prepared. Clean restrooms. Price for two people with one beer and two coffees, including tip, was 640 DKK.

31/05/2025: Little gem, indescribably great taste! Unconditionally Vordingborg's best burger! I've tried everywhere, even those that only sell burgers... Verona's burger is like in the old days (reminiscent of the ones from the old Hugo's - for us locals, however, there's no Chinese cabbage in it/ but thousand island dressing, and 150g homemade steak, thick slices of cucumber and tomato, plenty of cheese and no more salad than you can see... And for 70,- kr, for a real cheeseburger... It's a steal 💪🤗 I've been coming there on/off for the past 25 years.. and especially since the current female owner has been cooking the food, the burgers are tip top!! Pizza and other things on the menu there I don't know if they're as good - as the burgers are so good that I've never seen a reason to order anything else!

12/07/2025: My visit to Restaurant Snekken was unfortunately a disappointment – and an expensive one at that. The steak was served so cold that the butter on top didn’t even bother to melt. But okay – it’s clear that it can’t keep warm all the way from Uruguay! The size of the meat was also questionable; it was supposed to be over 300 grams, but it didn’t seem that way on the plate. The salad bar was sold as “big and delicious”, but consisted of two strange salad combinations and two varieties of cold potatoes. It seemed more like an excuse than part of the experience. The Bernaise sauce was the only warm thing on the plate, but it tasted like something from a can – definitely not homemade. When you pay those prices (3x325 kr) you expect more – much more. The quality, warmth and taste were unfortunately not up to par. We book a table in advance but are unfortunately not informed about this week’s “special” menu. But the politeness makes you stay there anyway. I won't be back.

16/08/2025: We ordered the cheeseburger and the fish fillet. For drinks we had a local beer and apple cider. The cheeseburger was okay but overall just a bit greasy. So you do get full but it's hard to taste the individual ingredients. The fries that came with the burger were good. The fish fillet is not at all recommended. It was fried in butter and just tasted like a buttery mass the whole time you ate it. On top was far too much mayonnaise with cocktail shrimp and as "compensation" some black caviar. The fish fillet is really not recommended, unfortunately. The apple juice and beer are excellent though and the service is also super friendly and accommodating.

31/07/2025: After a rainy morning, we took a family of 9 to Fanefjord Forest Pavilion. Out in the middle of the greenest beech forest next to a chieftain's burial mound, an idyllic scene was set; Lunch in the historic forest pavilion - pure Krøy summer. The service was polite and nice and the food was the most beautiful high-layered open sandwiches you can get south of the city. Since there were picky children in the sun, the staff was nice enough to make French fries. The interior is also worth a look. It exudes life and history. Also enjoy the celebrity wall in front of the toilet We recommend everyone to go here.

29/07/2025: A secluded yet stunningly beautiful spot in the heart of the woods. A small but delicious menu with very friendly and personal service.

11/07/2025: OK kebab, but not much more than that. The chicken kebab is heated from a pre-bought bag on the freezer. The atmosphere at the place is a bit meh, the cart is located in a not so nice or cozy area of Vordingborg.
