Restrooms were very clean, and the kids had a great time in the play area.
A bit pricey, but understandable given the location.
We'd be happy to come back.
05/07/2025: Last year, I could barely manage the large ice cream. Today, the portions aren't even half the size and still cost almost €10.
Unfortunately, very disappointed.

Hotel Hostrup is a charming and cozy hotel that oozes history and personality. The old building has been carefully renovated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially in the common areas and the restaurant.
However, the rooms are on the small side, and the comfort leaves a little to be desired in some places. The air conditioning in my room did not work, and the window creaked loudly when it was open - not optimal on hot summer nights. In addition, the hotel lacks modern facilities such as a fitness room, which drags down the experience a bit for those who want to keep up their workout during their stay.
The bar has a nice selection, but disappointed by not offering any IPA, which could be an obvious addition to the menu.
On the other hand, the kitchen and the staff deserve high praise: the food is really delicious, and the service is both welcoming and helpful. Here you really feel welcome, and the service is top-notch.
All in all, Hotel Hostrup is an atmospheric choice if you prioritize coziness and good food over modern facilities.

With a good selection of freshly baked bread/cakes. And their Homemade Sandwich is one of the best I've ever had 💪😎👍 and the prices are also quite OK😉

And it was really busy. But the food came quickly and safely, big portions and reasonable prices.

05/05/2025: Whether we are just not old enough to appreciate this inn experience, or whether the inn has just -put it in a nice way- seen better days, that must be up for discussion. Let me start by saying that there was everything you needed, toilet and bed which were in good condition, but then it stops there. The first thing you have to get over is the penetrating smell, you can abstract from it, then you can enjoy and follow all the conversations and sounds in the place, blinds that hang in lasers, tired furniture and then at first glance it looks clean, but there you will also be disappointed.
So let's look at the food, brunch is so much said and extremely sought after, let's call it a breakfast, nothing less and nothing more. The food itself wasn't bad, but let's call it what it is. We will not come again and it will not be a recommendation from here.

30/07/2025: We were 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 11). When we had to pay we had to pay for 3 adults, as children are considered adults from 10 years old. I don't think that's entirely okay.
The food is already on the expensive side.
We've been a few times before, where we're sure we paid for 2 adults and 2 children, and they say the food they have is delicious. It's not a large selection, which is a bit of a bummer. But what it is, is delicious. It's usually a good experience coming here.
But today's experience is a bit disappointing, as I definitely don't think children from 10 years old should pay as adults.
