I enjoyed the most delicious blueberry cake with skyr cream 🤤 and it was truly not sweet but refreshing 👌 thank you so much 🤗 And I immediately joined the surprise dinner the next evening. Simply delicious and a heartfelt thank you for this wonderful evening 🤤🤤👍👍👌

We had another wonderful experience here. After calling to ask whether there was still a spot available, we were welcomed very warmly. Merethe prepared a delicious dinner and showed not only what a fantastic cook she is, but also what a warm, hospitable and attentive hostess she is. Coincidentally, it was my birthday that day, and she responded to that in a very lovely way with streamers and extra attention. That made it truly special. The location is also beautiful and atmospheric. We thought the shared dinner with the other guests was a great added value. It is a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences and travel stories with people from different countries. Thank you so much, Merethe, for your warm welcome and hospitality. We will definitely come back again!

From the very first moment, we felt right at home. Since Merethe and Bent don't have a traditional menu, but rather cook according to the chef's choice, we let them know in advance that my girlfriend has dietary restrictions. This restriction was immediately and completely accommodated – it couldn't have been more welcoming and uncomplicated. The food was consistently excellent. Ice cream and mini-muffins were served with the coffee – we've truly never eaten such delicious muffins. The fact that organic and regional ingredients are prioritized is evident in every bite. There's truly something for everyone here – very dog-friendly, and Merethe and Bent are certainly child-friendly as well. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, or dinner: everything is possible by arrangement, and even an overnight stay (even with a campervan) can be easily arranged. Reservations are absolutely necessary, which makes perfect sense given this personal concept. A heartfelt thank you to Merethe and Bent for their breathtaking, friendly hospitality. Very warm welcome, so many possibilities of staying and eating. Very delicious, beautiful place, very peaceful. Car with rooftent welcome. A real gem, highly recommended!

We enjoyed chocolate brownies and vanilla ice cream from the farmer today, sitting on a bench under a shady tree with such warm and welcoming people. The café was our destination on a bike tour and it was absolutely worth it. Thank you for your hospitality, we'll definitely see you again. Best regards, RMT :-)

Beautiful location, and wonderful food. The atmosphere was welcoming and homey, and I look forward to returning. Cute dogs, too!

A wonderful evening at Cafe Gammelby. Call ahead before 2 pm to confirm your reservation! Tonight's meal was watermelon and feta salad, potatoes, beef with mushrooms and chicken with asparagus. All homemade and delicious. Family style dining. Delicious ice cream was available after. Will return again for sure!

A super surprise to find such a nice place, with such nice people who immediately cooked delicious food, even though they had just come back from vacation, really worth a visit.
