Very nice, clean and quiet hotel, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful view from the room, comfortable bed, I highly recommend it, varied and good breakfast, and also a great location not far from the beach and the market square, so you can explore the city on foot at any time without worrying about getting back to the hotel. I highly recommend it again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Could have used some kind of potatoes/bread for the main course - nice food but you can't do that if you don't like fish (fish salad for starter)

Super nice 2 day stay. Really good 4 course meal with wine both days. Super service in the restaurant, you have to look for such good service in relation to a wine menu, as there were wines we didn't drink, so we got tastings of others and then chose from them. The food was really good, so everything was as it should be. Super service at the reception. Rooms were clean and there was a fantastic view on the 1st floor. We would like to recommend the place. We will come again.

We had a great stay. The rooms were really nice. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening, which tasted good, but there could have been more on the plate 😉.

07/09/2025: Nice bakery with typical Danish bread and cake/cookies. Very tasty. Moderate prices. Very friendly and patient service. Paying with Visa card possible. We can highly recommend this place.

I bought 2 kinds of the small cakes, they were both good but the rabbit or the hardware took 1st prize. The dream cake is in the top 5 of those we have bought over the years Good service You could also buy sandwiches and coffee and cake to enjoy on the spot or to go

01/09/2025: Very tasty burgers. Fresh ingredients. Great atmosphere. Very good service. We sat outside and ordered at the counter. Food and drinks were brought to our seats. The menu is also available in German. We'd be happy to come back.
27/08/2025: We took a trip to Sonderburg and decided to have lunch at Skaal. Because the notice at our table—we were sitting outside—said we should order at the bar, we first got a menu inside. It was available in German and Danish. We then ordered at the bar in English. The drinks and food were brought to our table and arrived quickly. The chicken and chips (chicken with fries) was very tasty. The onions on the meatloaf were a bit overcooked, but otherwise it was very good. The service staff was very friendly. Paying with a German debit card was easy. Tipping wasn't possible with card payments, but they were happy to accept euros. At the next table, a Danish couple had ordered a beer tasting with 10 different beers. It looked interesting. We can recommend Skaal.
