28/06/2026: I have been a regular customer of Sokkelund and have visited many times with my child. This is the first time I have ever been treated this way. During our brunch, my baby became upset and cried briefly. Before we even had a chance to comfort our child, a staff member came over and told us to take the baby outside and only return once the baby had calmed down. What made this experience unacceptable was the obvious double standard. Throughout our meal, several tables of adults were laughing and talking loudly, creating far more noise than my baby did during those few moments. Yet not a single staff member spoke to them. The only table approached was ours. I completely understand the need to maintain a pleasant dining environment. But if noise is the issue, the same standard should apply to everyone—not only to families with young children. Sokkelund presents itself as a high-end brasserie with exceptional hospitality. Unfortunately, the cold, dismissive way this situation was handled was completely inconsistent with that image. True hospitality is measured by how you treat guests in difficult moments, not only when everything is perfect.
