29/06/2025: Update. New owner. New menu on the ice cream menu. It needs to be tested. It's Sunday at 1530. The sun is high. Yes, it's windy. There are people on the beach. All good. The ice cream menu has been updated with a lot of fun ice cream. Which unfortunately wasn't available. Whether it hadn't arrived or was simply sold out, the story doesn't say anything about it. Very new girl to serve. She probably should have had a training shift or 2 more. When half of the advertised ice creams were not available. So no ice cream for me. The better half and the kid each ordered a medium soft ice cream for 40 kr. A piece. It's always a discussion about price and size here. Meereeen it was on the very small side. Sprinkle 9 kr extra. See picture. It's probably the most expensive sprinkle I've invested in. 🤣 We were going to stop by and have an ice cream in their ice cream kiosk. It was a boring experience. The soft ice cream machine was down. That's what can happen. But then I think you've grown tired of regular ice cream. Here there were 5 sad varieties to choose from. And you had to scrape the sides to get the ice cream out. 2 girls at the kiosk. And I think they were afraid to serve. One stood and watched what the other was doing. Not encouraging. We chose to drive away again without buying anything.

29/06/2025: My first experience of Bandholm Badehotel was today with my daughter. Despite the short distance from Nysted to Bandholm, I had never eaten there. I did today and it is definitely worth a visit. The food, a 2-course menu of beetroot tartar as a starter and steamed cod as a main course, both tasted fantastic and was beautifully presented. Bandholm Badehotel is classic and beautiful with a beautiful view of the Småland Sea and Bandholm town is a really beautiful little quiet town right next to Knuthenborg Safaripark that also just has to be experienced. A town close to Maribo and the beautiful lakes and Kragenæs / see the Dodecanese and sail to Fejø, Femø and Askø on Eventyr. Can definitely recommend the place. Thanks for the great food👍

28/04/2025: We were there. Ordered 4 sandwiches. It took over an hour before we got the first 2. My son got prawns with poached egg. Big, nice sandwich. Guests had come in after us. Which should also have Smørrebrød. They sat only 35 Min. Because they got theirs shortly after. I got the fish fillet with prawns. The fillet was as big as the rye bread and about 10 small prawns. Then came the last 2 pieces. My son got Smørrebrød with chicken salad. Large beautiful piece. I had roast beef. 5 thin slices. With a little embellishment. I was still hungry when we left. We got a bottle of wine. If we had been given a glass, it would probably have been drunk before we got the food. We paid almost DKK 900 😬 We will not go there again.

27/04/2025: Vi spiste i gourmet restauranten med vin- og saftmenu. Blev blæst bagover af de lækreste 10-12 retter, med 5 starters. Så smagfyldte små retter, tilpasset vin/saft. Alt præsenteret på bedste vis og super service. Forvent det uventede.

26/07/2025: Short summary: by far the worst pitabar I have ever been, unfriendly and unmotivated people, very unhygienic place, extremely slow service. When I arrived, I was the only client. The person who took my order asked someone else to prepare it. That person was still eating himself, then first cleaned up some garbage, and then started to prepare the food without first washing his hands. To my surprise, he started to prepare something I hadn't ordered. After a while, he asked what I had actually ordered, and with several sighs, arguing about all kind of things with a colleague, and clearly being very demotivated, he seemed to be working on my order. At least it gave me the time to better observe the place: very messy, grill with thick black/burnt layer, clearly not properly cleaned for a long time, everywhere pieces of food on the ground, etcetera. That was the moment I decided that it was probably better to look for another place to eat that evening...

11/12/2023: We were supposed to hold an event at the café in November. The buffet was excellent, but much of the food was buy-in food that was simply heated. A bit disappointing. The service from the youth workers was quite nice, but the service, from what I assume is the owner, was service-abandoned. No interest in providing any kind of service. We got the feeling that we were a nuisance by coming. In any case, we don't want to arrange anything down there another time.. Our guests also commented that she was rude - both to them, but also to her employees. The youth workers also seemed to be slightly "afraid" of her. At one point, she was sitting at a table next to the bar with some friends, directing the youth workers what to do. It's not a very good signal to send to your guests.

09/12/2023: My boyfriend and I had called the café to see if we could use our smartbox at their place. Our smartbox was for brunch for 2 people. We were told by an employee on the phone that it was valid for both people and that we could just come down and have brunch and then "pay" with our smartbox. When we had eaten and were going over to "pay", they suddenly wanted us to pay 189 kr for the food. My boyfriend and I said that we had called and were told that the smartbox was valid for both of us. So we did not want to pay. After some time of discussing with the employees, we were allowed to leave without paying anything else. It's a shame that it will ruin our experience. We will never buy a smartbox again or go to that café.

The Little Yellow Coffee Bar

01/01/2024: Even though me and some of my buddies only went in for some water on this very hot summer day, the atmosphere and service was cozy, and delightful. I have been here a couple of times before, eating breakfast and lunch. With my family, and they all loved this cozy place. It’s a shame to see that the Little Yellow Coffeeshop is closing down, as it was one of my go to places in Copenhagen after arriving with train.

01/08/2023: Awesome food. You don't need to be into healthy diets or whatever to enjoy something a little bit different and a lot delicious. The bowls are also beautifully arranged. I was in Copenhagen for 2 nights when I found this place, and still had to go there twice.
