11/01/2026: Nice and tasty Brunch. With what it should be. It was cold inside and it was definitely drawing in stars. You couldn't keep warm if you sat by one of the big windows.

01/01/2026: Where Vesterbro still breathes💚 January 1st at Stempel. I'm literally sitting on the warm bench. Outside, the sky has decided to hail – really grey, stiff and dead after the New Year. Istedgade lies dormant. People stare blankly into the air, the world feels heavy, and 2026 has just started with a hangover. But not here. Stempel lights up like something from the Brothers Grimm – as if you're being lured inside by Christmas balls, ping-pong and the promise that life might be worth getting up for after all. And it is. Inside Stempel you meet Jesper. He must be one of the last true relics of the original Vesterbro. With humor, energy and a firmness that cuts through all facades like a razor blade. He's alone at work – maybe it's his place, maybe just his stage – but he juggles both love, pace and overview as if it were nothing. Jesper doesn't talk to us as customers. He talks to us as people. He both gives and demands attention – and we happily give it back. The most introverted, the most jet-lagged tourists, everyone is awakened a little. You smile, become part of the show and leave with a story. A feeling. Something real. Fantastic drinks. Sublime fish and chips. Service with soul. New Year's Eve? Go home. January 1st at Stempel is the new ritual.

24/12/2025: We went for coffee a couple of days ago, after months of wanted to visit this cute place. The drinks were as expected. Nothing crazy, but a nice cup of tea and hot chocolate as you would expect in any regular coffee shop. The shop inside was insanely cozy and the decoration is the classic Danish style coffee shop, which I love <3 Unfortunately, the service wasn't super nice and made feel like we were bothering them. Maybe it was just that day, maybe there was a reason the person wasn't "in the mood", which is understandable to an extent, so we'll give it one more try and hope it doesn't happen again. But it would be nice (and take it from someone who is still working in hospitality, after 9 years) to make customers feel welcome. It doesn't take much. Just a warm "hello" is more than enough.

12/12/2025: Cosy, nice selection of food and drinks.

10/11/2025: Fantastic experience. The food was SO delicious. The atmosphere was just what we had hoped for. It was simply so cozy and especially here at Christmas time. We received absolutely fantastic service. I didn't get his name, but he was so sweet. Har was present around the table enough and we got a good story about his career in the profession. Great experience. We will be back!

09/11/2025: We were looking for a danish restaurant and we found one of the best!

06/09/2025: Good and solid brunch menu including several items with chocolate. The chocolate-Hazelnut spread is absolutely delicious and so were the crepes. We had booked a table, but they didn't inform us, that we had to order at the counter... still the service was kind ad efficient.

12/08/2025: Central location, shop ok, toilet very clean and delicious. We were the only customers, and after ordering brunch at the cash register with coffee and a jug of water, it took 15 minutes before water and coffee arrived. The coffee tasted bitter and was one and a half. The water was with ice and ok. When the brunch arrived we were introduced to what it was and it was ok delicious, especially the truffle sausage and the pesto. The pancake with dark chocolate looked nice and delicious, but tasted a bit like it wasn't freshly made. The 3-4 people standing at the cash register/front kitchen were so busy talking that they didn't notice us leaving. In their defense, one of them came over when we had eaten the spread and said that we should just say if we wanted more water or bread. (without spread) All in all, a mediocre experience, hope others have had better luck

19/08/2025: We stumbled upon “Café Apropos” on the evening of the 18th — the grand finale of our 8-day Danish road trip. And I do mean stumbled: it was 9:30 PM, we were running late, and desperately hunting for something to feed the kid. The place looked stylish and vaguely Parisian, so we thought, “Why not?” Well… the confusion began with the menu and only got worse from there. If this was meant to be a Parisian bistro, someone forgot to tell the kitchen. The kids’ chicken? Marinated in a spicy sauce — because nothing says “child-friendly” like a surprise kick of heat. Once we realized that, we swapped it for a delightfully thin hamburger tucked inside a hollow bun. Gourmet minimalism, perhaps? Meanwhile, the “tapas plate” featured jalapeños, tortilla sauce, and a few mystery items that defied identification. And the “Parisian steak”? Oh dear. It was a dry hamburger (dear “chef,” ever heard of beef fillet?) perched on a slice of yesterday’s bread, surrounded by random vegetables that added nothing but confusion — and later, stomach drama I won’t detail here out of mercy. The one bright spot? Our waitress. Cheerful, friendly, and just as baffled as we were when the kitchen insisted, “Yes, the baby chicken is marinated in spicy sauce — but just a little spicy!” Final verdict: charming decor, baffling food, and a culinary identity crisis (yes, including pasta with chicken). Proceed with caution — or better yet, don’t.

06/12/2025: Ordering the large menu for 500kr: The starters: Their octopus salad and tartare were excellent, but nothing flashy. And the rest of the servings were mediocre to redundant. The bread served with it is also irrelevant. A little dry "feels old" bread and actually without anything. No oil or anything, unless you ask, as it is not a custom to do this. Who eats dry bread without anything? The main courses: Some risotto and pasta and fish. The risotto can be bought in net and heated up to the same expertise, the pasta you have to go and eat at a real pasta restaurant and the fish was okay, but again something that should just be higher level, when you are registered for so many possibilities for Michelin stars. Dessert: Since I couldn't stand hazelnuts, I got a different dessert and that meant that instead of a Ferrero Rocher-like dessert, I got a frozen apple in a bowl - by God it was worse than baby food in a jar, wow.. Can't be recommended in any way, unfortunately

23/11/2025: The place is very nice but...stay away from gasoline burgers me and my wife where sick all night waste of a 300 kr for 2 burger and frozen tasteless fries fries I can go bye but the burgers had so much oil that we where sick all night this is unacceptable from a place that has some rename to it

08/11/2025: Newly opened skating rink with music and cozy food court around. Equipment can be rented. On Saturday it was a bit crowded, but still it was nice to go skating there. Ice quality is ok)

08/07/2025: Necesito revisar la pizza, ¡pero no puedo encontrar el restaurante del aeropuerto! Tuve un par de horas libres en el aeropuerto y entré en Neighbourhood Pizza. Pedí una pizza de papa con salami extra (no estoy seguro de cuál fue mi proceso de pensamiento, supongo que fue curiosidad). Todo ordenado en la aplicación, la camarera estaba esperando el pedido. Las bebidas se sirvieron rápidamente y la pizza llegó unos minutos después. La pizza estaba buena (le quité la papa), había aceites disponibles, la limonada estaba buena y la otra mitad le dio a la IPA un 9/10. Excelente servicio, buen menú. La pizza estaba realmente buena. Coste total: 44€. 20 (Una pizza, limonada, IPA y agua)

31/05/2025: Llegamos a Copenhague (zona de Norrebro) alrededor del mediodía y después de registrarnos en nuestro piso fuimos a dar un paseo. Ninguno de los dos hemos estado aquí antes, así que simplemente tiramos los dados / seguimos nuestras narices. Terminamos en esta zona genial y el vecindario nos atrajo de inmediato. Fue un buen día y hay un montón de asientos al aire libre (en el sol y la sombra), pero estábamos un poco jet lag, así que optamos por el interior fresco y tranquilo. Hay una buena selección de cerveza artesanal (probé la pilsener, la cerveza rubia y la cerveza Vienna lager) y las pizzas estaban deliciosas. Tuve los amantes de Burrata y mi esposa tuvo el pollo al ajo. Ambos eran crujientes, cargados de ingredientes / sabores frescos, y se presentan bien en tablas con ruedas de pizza para cortar. El servicio era cálido y acogedor, el ambiente agradable y la música funcionaba. Una gran experiencia de primera comida en una ciudad que es nueva para nosotros. Volveremos seguro.
