19/08/2025: We stumbled upon “Café Apropos” on the evening of the 18th — the grand finale of our 8-day Danish road trip. And I do mean stumbled: it was 9:30 PM, we were running late, and desperately hunting for something to feed the kid. The place looked stylish and vaguely Parisian, so we thought, “Why not?” Well… the confusion began with the menu and only got worse from there. If this was meant to be a Parisian bistro, someone forgot to tell the kitchen. The kids’ chicken? Marinated in a spicy sauce — because nothing says “child-friendly” like a surprise kick of heat. Once we realized that, we swapped it for a delightfully thin hamburger tucked inside a hollow bun. Gourmet minimalism, perhaps? Meanwhile, the “tapas plate” featured jalapeños, tortilla sauce, and a few mystery items that defied identification. And the “Parisian steak”? Oh dear. It was a dry hamburger (dear “chef,” ever heard of beef fillet?) perched on a slice of yesterday’s bread, surrounded by random vegetables that added nothing but confusion — and later, stomach drama I won’t detail here out of mercy. The one bright spot? Our waitress. Cheerful, friendly, and just as baffled as we were when the kitchen insisted, “Yes, the baby chicken is marinated in spicy sauce — but just a little spicy!” Final verdict: charming decor, baffling food, and a culinary identity crisis (yes, including pasta with chicken). Proceed with caution — or better yet, don’t.

10/08/2025: Expensive and especially Terrible service!! they kept the music extremely loud inside where there were only our table. It was like a discoteque but we were having dinner, and they refused to lower the music upon our request. Never to come back. They totally spoiled our night, we wanted to have conversation in a restaurant and we found in a discoteque, but there are only tables so there is no point of playing loud music at all. They should change job completely.

05/08/2025: Great pea soup and burrata peach bread. Lovely playground for kids out front. Highly recommend.

04/07/2025: The avocado toast and the chai latte were wonderful. A bit noisy inside but delightful space. The outdoor seating was fabulous.

21/06/2025: So the burger was pretty good, not like super delicious, but, would go back here for a swim and some snack for sure. Burger had very tasty meat and the buns were crispy that I really loved. And they made my burger in 10 minutes, super! Workers were nice and welcoming on a sunny busy saturday. It's a cute cool place.

21/07/2025: Chill atmosphere, expert and friendly staff, huge selection of beers. 30 on tap. The tap beers can also be canned on demand. This is the oldest craft beer bar in CPH, a peculiar fact nugget. Such a wonderful establishment, loved everything.

18/05/2025: Ølbaren was my favorite stop on my entire Denmark trip. They have a great selection of beer, but more importantly, a warm, welcoming staff. Thank you so much Saint Nick for the hospitality!

06/09/2025: Good and solid brunch menu including several items with chocolate. The chocolate-Hazelnut spread is absolutely delicious and so were the crepes. We had booked a table, but they didn't inform us, that we had to order at the counter... still the service was kind ad efficient.

12/08/2025: Central location, shop ok, toilet very clean and delicious. We were the only customers, and after ordering brunch at the cash register with coffee and a jug of water, it took 15 minutes before water and coffee arrived. The coffee tasted bitter and was one and a half. The water was with ice and ok. When the brunch arrived we were introduced to what it was and it was ok delicious, especially the truffle sausage and the pesto. The pancake with dark chocolate looked nice and delicious, but tasted a bit like it wasn't freshly made. The 3-4 people standing at the cash register/front kitchen were so busy talking that they didn't notice us leaving. In their defense, one of them came over when we had eaten the spread and said that we should just say if we wanted more water or bread. (without spread) All in all, a mediocre experience, hope others have had better luck

05/09/2025: The food was decent, but not «I need to come back here» worthy. However, the service has guaranteed that we’ll be back to visit!! Our waiter, Jasper (?), was super helpful and fun, and made the visit memorable for sure.

21/08/2025: It’s a good place to we visited couple of weeks ago for my mum’s birthday. Since the beginning everything went well. We were welcomed and taken to our table with no delay. It was a very nice table with views to the golf course. Food was good. We went with the a la carte option because one of the guests had extensive dietary restrictions (so the fixed menu was not an option). It worked out really well. Cocktails were good too, and one of it included a little show with nitrogen bubbles.

17/07/2025: Disappointing considering location and set-up. Good beers and nice seating+ decor. Barman nonplussed and regular customers close to bar taking up multiple seats just to play fruit machines while talking very loudly about fruit machines. Could be so cosy and inviting but feels more like a bodega. Prices ridiculous.

29/09/2025: This bar is a super chill and cosy place to go for a drink. I went with my colleagues, and we had a fun night with plenty of cocktails. The drinks were solid – nothing over the top or mind-blowing, but definitely decent. You can tell they’ve put some thought and care into the menu

26/08/2025: Very nice location, lovely terrace, and excellent service. Highly recommend a drink during happy hour from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

04/09/2025: Nice place. But a really big difference between the bartenders. The person who was standing at the bar when we arrived seemed almost completely indifferent and you actually felt like you were more of a nuisance than a paying customer. The two bartenders who took over an hour later had a completely different positive energy :) Therefore a service score of 3 (1 for the first one, but 5 for the 2 who replaced them).

21/08/2025: Great bar, friendly service. We were also able to order Little Brother pizza at the bar and have it delivered to our table!

16/08/2025: Wow! Todas mis experiencias anteriores de Gallos y Vacas han sido increíbles. Así que; 1 noche de calle en Copenhague después de un tiempo. Después de nuestra gran experiencia de Gallos y Vacas (Gammel Strand) durante nuestra última visita pensé en conseguir una hamburguesa... una comida para llevar, de SP 34 , la más cercana a mi hotel. Posiblemente la peor y más grasienta hamburguesa que he probado de cualquier parte. Lo siento chicos. La ensalada estaba distendida, grasienta y la hamburguesa estaba goteando grasa. Hasta el bollo estaba grasiento. Realmente parecía y sabía como si hubieran tomado una sobra de la noche anterior, luego lo frito todo. Pedí el combo de hamburguesas, con ketchup casero y una cerveza. Vino sin la cerveza, así que no solo la comida estaba terriblemente preparada, sino que el pedido estaba incompleto... ¿Qué pasó chicos? Absolutamente polar opuesto a mi última visita a su lugar en Gammel Strand. No es de extrañar que el lugar en SP 34 estaba vacío cuando fui a recoger mi hamburguesa.

24/07/2025: Burgers was delicious and beer on tap was good and a reasonable selection. Fair price for good quality. Very friendly staff, we really enjoyed everything. I'll be glad to recommend this place🙂

17/04/2025: Skærtorsdags frokost i Ølhalle - bord bestilt for 3 mdr. siden - ingen plads før kl 14. Vi er kommet Ølhalle mange gange før. Første og forhåbentlig sidste gang blev vi forvist til baglokalet (slyngenstuen). Hvor man støder hovedet mod dørkarmen når man skal ned og hente mad, og selvom man er 177 cm. Derudover er akustikken helt vild dårlig når lokalet er fyldt. Man kan ikke høre sig selv tænke endsige hvad ens familie havde at berette. God betjening som altid - dog giver det nul mening (virker lidt som optrækkeri), man som gæst skal betale 399 kr. for smørrebrødsbordet fra kl 14 og “kun” 299 kr. før kl 14. Specielt når man for 3 mdr. siden ikke kunne vælge er bord før kl. 14. Deruover ervdesserten nu ekstra! - mener den (fx æblekage og lign) tidl. var inkluderet i prisen? Så samlet set var det en lidt for dyr fornøjelse for 4 voksne og 1 barn = 2600 kr. med øl og vand.

09/03/2025: En rigtig fed måde at opleve det klassiske frokostkøkken i DK. Her er alt lige fra en sildemad til hønsesalat og æggekage. Mums siger jeg bare 👍

04/05/2025: I waited in the bar for 1 hour to get served. The server (he had brown curly hair) he tolf me he was racist, which was why we couldn’t order earlier. Very unacceptable, and we will never go back.
