30/06/2025: I saw Eric Kragh Vildgaard as a guest chef at Ikarus (Servus TV). Rather than attending guest chef events, I prefer to experience chefs in their own kitchens, Denmark here we come 😊🇩🇰🫶. We were greeted in Gentofte by Tina Kragh Vildgaard. We had a charming email exchange with her beforehand. We are easygoing guests, but we have a preference regarding seating in the restaurant. Our wishes were fulfilled. "Tina" has a wonderful presence. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with her. All the service staff and the chefs, who repeatedly came to the table and explained dishes, were very jovial but never distant. We experienced excellent, very attentive, and highly competent service. The restaurant and interior are decorated in a light color palette. Many windows allow natural light into the room. Soft lighting and candlelight create a cozy atmosphere. We really enjoyed it and felt at home right from the moment we arrived at our table. The atmosphere in the dining room developed magnificently over the course of the evening. The international crowd was cheerful and pleasantly loud. And the "soundtrack" that I often criticize? Vinyl was playing. ABBA, Queen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, etc., and surprisingly, it worked perfectly. I could fill pages with text about what we ate. But I won't. One masterpiece after another arrived, far too complex to describe everything in detail. Some of the dishes seem quite pared down. Often, it's only partially clear what you're about to consume. Yet everything you see makes sense. Even the multitude of blossoms is pure aromatic poetry. Here, they work to the limit. Wafer-thin, delicate, crispy. In terms of quality and craftsmanship, it's hard to beat this. The eye doesn't reveal how incredibly complex the dishes are. While the nose promises much, the sophisticated gourmet's palate reveals the distinct components, sensational. And so, even I, a "chatterbox," was occasionally speechless with excitement. Eric's dishes deeply moved me. After many years of enjoying the highest standards, this happens extremely rarely these days, which is why I'm all the more delighted by this feeling. From now on, the Jordnær is my reference for the highest quality and finesse 💯. My wife and I spontaneously decided that this fantastic experience had to be repeated. And while we're on our way north 🚘, we'd love to combine it with the Haerlin (Hamburg) and the Frantzén (Stockholm). Tina thought our idea was great 😊.

09/05/2025: We had a great dinner at the samuel. Our reservation was on a Thursday night and it seemed to be a quieter night with only three tables booked. We arrived early and enjoyed a cocktail at the bar before being led to our table. The service was excellent and the drinks as well. The 8 course menu was very good but had a few dishes that stood our over others. Especially the beef and the lagoustine were definitely standouts. We opted for the half wine pairing that was arguably 3/4 as only two of the 8 wines were skipped. Overall the pairing was very nicely selected and worked very well. The you somiler was very knowledgeable and overall great. As a little surprise, we had some dishes present to us by one of the chefs who spoke German. The wait staff did this without us asking for it or us telling them that we are german (my wife is american and we only spoke English). Anyway a nice little touch even if it was not necessary. Another highlight of the visit was rhe cheese room, where one of the chefs explained each cheese to us. Afterwards, the somiler gave us a tour of the wine cellar. A very unique experience but again, a nice touch. The interior was mostly nice. However there were a few art pieces that may not he for everyone. I found them quite funny but the cartoonish waiter with a huge knife or the waiter with blood soaked hands were definitely not matching the rest of the decor. I found it entertaining my wife wasn't a fan. Over all, we had a nice experience at the samuel and it is worth the visit. The price is appropriate for a fine dining experience in Copenhagen and the service and food deliver what you expect.

31/05/2025: Wildly delicious burgers and really good, sweet and friendly service. Definitely recommended. We split two of the burgers in half so we could taste each other's and they were both wildly good. The kids also really liked theirs. They also made a special burger with just steak and ketchup for our youngest, which he also thought was really good. Perfect end to a morning at Ordrupgaard.

30/05/2025: A burger that has rarely tasted better. Flavorful, greasy and with a nuanced twist of a delicious flavor I couldn't define. Top marks from here!

08/07/2025: Ice cream made from the ground up, no weird aromas, pure taste. I can truly recommend this place, very nice staff and a lot of grit behind the ice cream. The machine behind the counter made some noise but knowing that it is making ice cream while sitting there makes it very wholesome somehow.

07/07/2025: I have to say that there are some nice people behind the counter, but I was very disappointed when I saw that there was almost no meat on the salad pizza I bought. I will also say that it is quite a price for what you get. 200kr for 2 okay pizzas, so I will not buy from here again.

01/07/2025: Nice to sit on the terrace and have lunch with your old student friends after visiting high school. Lovely food and good service. I don't think I've ever experienced a restaurant where the lovely food came so quickly after ordering.

30/06/2025: Really cozy place with a good atmosphere and nice staff. Price and quality go together well. We did get the dish of the day for a really good and reasonable price, 124,- for fried pork and parsley sauce, just the right portion, not too much and not too little. It's definitely not the last time I eat there.

02/07/2025: Fantastic cozy place with lots of charm and a Top good service I bought a salmon sandwich on sourdough bun with coffee extremely delicious from their Micro bakery. Also bought a RAPHA cycling jersey great selection! Thanks for the visit will come again

12/06/2025: Super cozy restaurant on Søborg main street. You can sit inside and outside and there is sun in the afternoon. I had an avocado meal which was really delicious. Can recommend the place for lunch, it is not crowded and has a nice quiet atmosphere.
