03/03/2025: It felt like stepping into another world, where sounds and smells wrapped them selve like silk around my senses. We order only starters, but many. It was great having these different variations both in sight and tast. Combined with beer from Thailand it was a great experience which I would recommend for everybody. And the next time I going back it's going to be to try the beds you can sit in and eat.

02/02/2025: Excellent food, well spiced with many nuances in every dish, the meat very tender. Unfortunately service and atmosphere did not live up to the culinary experience. Although there ver many free tables on the upper floors we were placed downstairs next to a not so silent family party. Service was a bit slow as well although we had reserved the menu before hand. When these issues are fixed, five stars nemt time.

17/02/2025: Hair in the food. We visited the restaurant on Saturday 15 February. When I was served the main course, I noticed a hair in my food and brought it to the chef's attention. Unfortunately, he chose to simply remove it with his fingers directly into my plate without offering a new portion or an apology, which I found very unhygienic and unprofessional. It would have been a nice gesture to offer some extra bread on the side as the portions are very small. But then again, it's really disgusting to have hair in the food, and the chef removes it in front of me with his fingers into my plate. All in all a disappointing experience which did not live up to the standard one would expect from a restaurant of this calibre.

27/02/2025: One of my absolute favorite places in Aarhus. Always a good place to come, never disappointed, only that sometimes it can be hard to find a seat, but that just shows their popularity.

05/02/2025: *update: I have been told, in the reply, that it is not my style to come back and reconsider. It usually would be. But since the answerer clearly ignores how I have been treated and at the same time again (although this time a bit 'lightly') "goes after the man", it really just proves the original point about what you think is normal behavior towards guests on the premises. * Piv unpleasant owner, him Andreas. Staff (or maybe former staff) are allowed to make personal attacks on people who may not agree that it is the best sports bar in town without otherwise saying anything bad about the place. In fact, he supports it. But when we have come here anyway, where the true meaning has to come out, it has become expensive, dark and rarely looks properly cleaned, with loads on tables etc.

12/03/2025: This place has been recommended by so many people, so maybe I also had a little too high expectations 😢 Felt that much of the food was too much on the sweet side, in my opinion 🍭🍬 (Johannes Axelsen -Local guide level 5) But the staff was really friendly!

14/02/2025: We had not reserved a table, so it was not possible to get a table or a seat right next to their running sushi. They showed us down to a table and were super nice to explain that we could go to the end of the belt (where it turns around and goes back) and just get out of there. We sat less than 2 meters away, and it worked quite well. We tried their running sushi, which is ad libitum for a fixed price. There was great variety in the selection, and there was always plenty on the tape. We were VERY full and they were good at continuously clearing the table of empty plates and bowls. If you are into running sushi, this place is highly recommended 😊

16/03/2025: Hotel Villa Provence in Aarhus is a charming and atmospheric hotel with a fantastic location in the heart of the city. With plenty of good restaurants and shops just around the corner. The room was nice and cosy, and the hotel's French-inspired style provided a complete and authentic experience. Especially in the summer, the hotel will come into its own when the beautiful courtyard can be enjoyed to the fullest. The service was also welcoming and polite. A nice detail was the "newspaper" i.a. with the hotel's history. However, there are small things that can be improved. The breakfast area can feel a bit cramped and the temperature of the bath water was not always stable. The room was cold on arrival, and small practical details such as a too short cable for the kettle could be optimised. Another small thing is that not all guests like to mix drinks themselves - here it could be an advantage to point out that the staff are happy to help when they have time. All in all, Villa Provence is a wonderful experience, especially for those who value charm, personal atmosphere and good location.

22/03/2025: I went to the Malte Ebert concert yesterday with my companion and adult daughter.. I contact the place in advance, as I am disabled and have difficulty walking.. And have a very picky daughter (thought to ask if she could have a burger instead of the 3 course menu we had paid for) Sabro kro returns, and says that none of it is a problem, I am positively surprised.. Everything is good.. We thought.. We arrive and are placed in the restaurant furthest from the concert hall, my daughter gets a dry bun with an even drier steak (a children's menu for 72 kr) I have glass shards in my soda.. They never brought a new one, despite us saying so twice.. But at least I was allowed to pay 38 kr for it 😬 We put on our hats and move down to the concert.. We are placed in seats so that I have to get up every time people go in and out, to get drinks or to the toilet.. To the concert is it also only possible to buy beer, despite being told otherwise.. Tried to tell the staff this several times, without any response.. Overall a VERY disappointing experience

28/12/2024: Super nice place. Unlike many other places,,, The music especially supported the atmosphere in a good way. It was just right in strength and the music selection was right in the cupboard this evening on 27 December. The music was co-creative for the calm laid back, wine bar atmosphere that is cool. The service was charming, professional and pleasant. Didn't eat. Will come again.
