31/10/2025: This place is so delicious I swear. You are greeted by the sweetest woman and get luxury food at a really nice price.

11/09/2025: Just really incredible food! Flavorful, cozy, authentic Japanese cuisine - with the most friendly and welcoming staff 🥰 Honestly i could speak of how good their food is for ages - so if you have any interest in eating a comforting Japanese meal, this is the place to go. I can especially recommend their No. 1 and No. 2! ( do yourself a favor and try the cheesecake as well )

19/11/2025: Tasty, healthy, organic, vegan and vegetarian friendly breakfast and lunch options in central Aarhus. I can warmly recommend the filled corn pancakes. Mine was with hummus, avocado, beets and spinach. I also had one of their fresh juices.

13/09/2025: Cozy place but needs to be cleaned of greasy fingers from all the glass cabinets and one thing that really drags you down is that you get splashed with water when you wash your fingers in the men's toilet upstairs.

30/08/2025: The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good as usual and freshly made. Got an extra pork fritter they were freshly made, no doubt about it. They were so hot you couldn't hold them😁

13/01/2026: I got food poisoning after eating here. The guy was constantly on his phone. There was some kind of junk in the straw, which I suspect made me sick, as I only noticed it after I took a sip. The food is nothing to rave about.

15/03/2026: First visit to Aarhus and we are only happy to have chosen Hotel Royal. Definitely where we will come back for our next visit! It is located close to the promenade/pedestrian street, places to eat for dinner or a late night snack. It is generally centrally located. The staff was service-minded and helpful from start to finish. Everything from tips to good places to eat, experiences etc. The hotel is modern and stylishly decorated with memories from the historical era. It is really clean and wonderfully spacious. You can see they have modernized it to today's design but still kept the important values ​​from the hotel's origins.

04/03/2026: I was at the Hotel Royal on Feb 23 and left a small personal item behind. I notified the hotel that morning, and they arranged for a lost and found service to ship it back to me. I received my item on March 2nd, all the way in the United States. I cannot say enough positive things about the Hotel Royal and their high level of service. I am very appreciative to all the staff for their help. I'd recommend them to anyone just based off this experience, however their location and room quality are two other big selling points. I also very much appreciated how easy it was to connect to wifi and stream and cast content to my TV. Thanks again!

02/10/2025: The hotel has it all, but most important the view. It does not get any better, with a perfect view over Århus and the sea. Bar area and restaurant are vre cosy and the hotel is easy to get around in. Location vice it is a bit out from center, but in walking distance of everything you might want to see on the city.

27/09/2025: A top hotel, where everything is top notch. Lovely rooms, nice and smiling staff, had breakfast. Not the first time I was there and definitely not the last.

11/12/2025: We ordered the 10 course tasting but i would reccomend taking the 13 course instead. The courses are very tasty but they are very very small so 1 bite per course is definetely not enough to get you full but great if youre on a diet 😂 They seemed to had forgotten our dessert or just overlooked us since we had to wait quite a long time for the dessert to be served. We had 2 different waiters which made the experience a little mixed i would have preffered just 1.

11/09/2025: Food was amazing, when you order spicy, you get spicy. And the Curry was crazy good. The Naan bread was unfortunately not the best, felt more like regular pita bread to me. But you should absolutely still go for the rest of the menu, highly recommend.

24/05/2025: We had two lovely tapas dishes. Fried shrimp and grilled langoustines with saltwort. Delicious food and great atmosphere. not that big portion, but adequate for us. I highly recommend the place.

06/03/2026: It was a disappointing experience, and unfortunately it makes me doubt whether I will try the food there again. I ordered a Barolo, which unfortunately was served very cold and with a quality that did not live up to the high price.

22/02/2026: Attended a party in a nice closed room. But the food, a vegan burger, was really poor quality. Tasted like absolutely nothing. In return, I paid 50 kr over the price for the burger and non-alcoholic beer, a total of 260 kr, it turned out afterwards.

09/11/2025: We had the set meal for 495kr which is a very reasonable price for the quality and amount of food. The atmosphere was good and surprisingly even though the restaurant was fully booked it was not that noisy and you didn’t have to raise your voice to have a conversation. As the restaurant was so busy the service was not the best it tools quite a long time to get each course and the waiter was rushing back and forth. You had to get a hold of them to order more drinks. Other than that it was a great experience and we will be back again!

12/06/2025: Proper Danish bar. Very unique decoration, low prices, polite staff, indoor and outdoor sitting, smoking allowed. Easy five stars.
