05/05/2026: Sharks are truly fascinating and powerful creatures of the ocean. As apex predators like the Shark, they play a vital role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems. Their strength, speed, and unique adaptations make them one of the most impressive animals in nature. Watching them in documentaries or aquariums is both thrilling and awe-inspiring. A truly remarkable species deserving of respect definitely a 5-star marvel of the ocean.

05/01/2026: 1. May 25 and the weather is good. So there were many on the square. We were lucky that some were leaving, so we could take over their table outside.
A green draft beer for 50 kr. And 55 kr. For specialty beer are okay prices. There is a stage inside and a good large room. Toilet was nice and clean.
McDonalds is like McDonalds is. Fast and easy. I got a medium hot cocoa 300 ml for 30 kr..
No parking as it is located by the yard.

10/12/2025: Super cozy place to get a beer, soda or whatever you want.
There is plenty of space, a cozy atmosphere and lots of board games for free use.

18/02/2026: Popped in while working in the area. Absolute gem of a place. Friendliest rock bar I've been to. Great people, music and beer. Plus you can smoke so it's like going back 20 years in time. Will make sure to return!

09/05/2026: I visited with a friend and we both had pizzas. The restaurant is located in an old building on Vestergade and has a very cozy atmosphere with visible wooden beams in the ceiling. While the initial room near the street seems small, the place is surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating further back. The pizzas were good, and we enjoyed them with some good red wine. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the booking process was effortless. It’s a good choice for pizza, and I plan to return to try some of their other dishes in the future.
04/04/2026: Delicious food and really good service. We were a party of 10 and had ordered the food in advance. Starters were served as delegates. Everything worked flawlessly, and we had a really good experience in a cozy setting and with delicious Italian food.

23/09/2025: You really have to choose the right bakery. Some are quite good but others are quite average. The prices can't compete with the bakery shops in the larger supermarkets, for example, while the bread and cakes are not necessarily better. However, I would encourage you to support the local baker.
18/09/2025: Hartmeier is the "go to" place for breakfast, Hartmeier is also the only place for miles that sells salt and pepper rolls, and who doesn't like a salt and pepper roll? 🤠
The staff is always so smiling and welcoming, so it's really a bakery worth visiting!

21/03/2026: Lovely evening with colleagues. I had their Gourmet Hotdog with truffle for a starter, it was more cold than hot, so not the best start in the world. For the main course, Welfare pig, which was a completely different and better serving. The staff was present and attentive. The venue is super cool. So all in all, 4 stars.

23/08/2025: Lovely experience with lunch as part of a birthday party. Delicious starter, ok main course and delicious dessert.
The main course was tenderloin/chopped young rooster. The tenderloin was tender and cooked to perfection. Red wine sauce. More standard performance than starter and dessert.
All in all, a delicious lunch and service that matched the good level of the place.
I would like to eat here again :)

29/03/2026: Probably the worst food in town, damn it
07/03/2026: I stopped by Al Sultan for lunch during my trip to Bazaar Vest and left very impressed.
The meal started with a large flatbread served with hummus. The bread itself was soft and pleasant, although if it had been served warm it would have been absolutely perfect. The hummus was creamy and flavourful, making it a great way to start the meal.
For the main course, I had the chicken and kebab skewers, and this is where the place really shines. The chicken was incredibly well seasoned, with the char exactly how it should be. You could clearly taste that it had been cooked over coal, which gave it a wonderful smoky depth without overpowering the rest of the flavours. The kebab skewer was equally satisfying, juicy and nicely spiced. The charred onion and pepper on the plate were also very welcome additions, adding both sweetness and a bit more of smokiness to the dish.
Finally, the rice! It for sure deserves a special mention as well. It was super light and fluffy, the kind of rice that makes you wonder why it never turns out quite like that at home.
Overall, a very satisfying and generous meal with great flavours throughout. Definitely a place I would happily come back to.
P.S.: the restaurant is inside the Bazaar Vest building, not where it is marked on google maps.
