09/05/2026: I visited with a friend and we both had pizzas. The restaurant is located in an old building on Vestergade and has a very cozy atmosphere with visible wooden beams in the ceiling. While the initial room near the street seems small, the place is surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating further back. The pizzas were good, and we enjoyed them with some good red wine. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the booking process was effortless. It’s a good choice for pizza, and I plan to return to try some of their other dishes in the future.

04/04/2026: Delicious food and really good service. We were a party of 10 and had ordered the food in advance. Starters were served as delegates. Everything worked flawlessly, and we had a really good experience in a cozy setting and with delicious Italian food.

07/05/2026: Violent, unprofessional and downright embarrassing experience with Tangkroen. We had booked a christening with around 60 guests, received written booking confirmation and paid the reservation fee. After we pointed out some discrepancies in the agreement and asked very basic questions about additional costs (among other things, 20kr per person to get a tablecloth?), the situation developed extremely unpleasantly. We simply asked them to deal with the misunderstanding that we believed had occurred. Shortly afterwards, Tangkroen – without any legally valid justification – unilaterally chose to cancel our event just 10 days before it was to take place. We were suddenly left with around 60 invited guests and were forced to find a new location at extremely short notice. The owner reacted violently - shouted that he did not want to talk to us and simply hung up when we tried to clarify what was clearly a misunderstanding between the parties. The cancellation was not due to non-payment, threatening behavior or breach of contract on our part, but solely because, according to their own statement, they “did not want to continue the collaboration”. The most remarkable thing about the whole process is that we have maintained a critical but sober tone throughout and have only made moderate and completely legitimate criticisms of the circumstances surrounding the event. We have the full email and text message correspondence and are happy to provide it if anyone has any doubts about the process. Since the owner will most likely deny the process. Only after legal pressure did Tangkroen partially pull back, but by that time trust was of course completely destroyed. We now have a lawyer on the case, as the owner still does not want to address his handling of the process or engage in a real dialogue. We have never before felt the need to publicly criticize or write a bad review of a restaurant. However, the way this matter has been handled is, in our opinion, far beyond the limit of what one should accept as a customer. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen anywhere. But the way this was handled was, in our opinion, shockingly unprofessional and a far cry from the service and seriousness one should expect at larger family events. We have never experienced anything like it.

15/05/2026: We had a bit of a mixed experience today at Rømer. We first ordered nachos. We got a small bowl with maybe 8-10 chips in total. Nicely said. The price was 95 kr. We expected a slightly larger plate for that price. It was incomprehensible that such a small bowl of chips could cost 95 kr. -!!!. We then ordered Tostadas. Both lime and coriander were missing. The waiter said that the coriander was at the bottom of the bowl, but there was no coriander. Fortunately, we were served fresh coriander afterwards because we asked for it. When we were going to order dessert, they already brought it, even though we had said that we would wait and order later. I think it was a bit of a shame. Unfortunately, we had expected a better experience. Otherwise, a very cozy place.

24/12/2025: The cafe is very good, with a nice atmosphere and nice background music. The cakes and drinks are of good quality, although the service can be a bit slow at peak times. Good overall experience.

18/12/2025: A true gem for seafood lovers! The Fish Bistro is an experience from start to finish. The ingredients are absolutely top-notch – fresh seafood that tastes of the sea and quality, prepared with great respect for taste and texture. The dishes are beautiful, creative and extremely tasty, and each dish feels well thought out down to the smallest detail. The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, and the open kitchen gives a wonderful feeling of craftsmanship and passion. The service is absolutely exceptional – personal, attentive and professional without being stiff. You feel really welcome and in good hands. All in all, a restaurant that delivers on all parameters and that can definitely be recommended, regardless of whether it is for a nice lunch or a special evening. I will definitely be back! 🐟🦐🍷

07/06/2026: Amazing take away, can’t say anything bad - only yummy (a little more expensive than others, but that’s the point - you pay for quality). Fresh and crispy vegetables. And very hot.

28/03/2026: Spontaneous lunch on a spring Saturday. Delicious Pad Krapow and roast duck with hoisin sauce and crispy vegetables. Friendly service, fair prices. Would definitely go again.

06/12/2025: Huge brussel waffle with 1 scoop of cookie dough ben & jerry’s ice cream and vanilla soft ice with chokolade sauce and biscoff topping, this is heavenly ❤️‍🩹. This place is so underrated and their service was so nice with a very comfy place for dine in (there’s indoor and outdoor) VERY RECOMMENDED 💯 will definitely come back here

30/06/2026: Had the falafel bowl and really enjoyed it. Everything tasted fresh, the falafel was crispy and flavorful, and the portion was just right. I’d definitely come back! Also very nice service 🫶🏽

07/05/2026: Jægergårdsgade has become a real "hygge" street. We sat at one of Juliette's outdoor tables and enjoyed a few beers from Ebeltoft Gård brewery. It was clear that the staff enjoyed their work and it gave a good atmosphere to the place. We didn't eat, but the service at the other tables looked very inviting. We will definitely come here again.

18/04/2026: The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is attentive. My warmest recommendation if you are looking for a complete brunch experience in Aarhus. The coffee was good, but what really put the finishing touch was their hot chocolate.
