28/08/2026: I was just in Tilst to get a steak..it was so overcooked..but they were super nice and made me a new one with fresh fries and sauce..such a good experience..the only bad thing was..that they no longer have pepper sauce which I liked

19/08/2026: Very good dishes, good quality meat/steak. We had diner with 3 children. Good portions, very good salad bar. Kids get free ice cream for desert. After a daytrip from Grenaa back to the camping we were surprised to have this good diner. Super friendly service. Highly recommend for a nice diner!

11/10/2026: We visited Café Jorden on 11/10 in connection with a birthday party for a family member. We had been out to have breakfast somewhere else in Aarhus where we were supposed to be at 09:00 and 2 hours later. We agreed that we could have a beer/soda somewhere else to end the morning well. We went into Café Jorden 12 people and we put our stroller at a cafe table outside where we could keep an eye on our 6 month old baby. Before we even got in, the waiter who was supposed to serve us asked if we could close the door. We were like a bunch of people going in and we just replied that everyone should come along. We sat down and went through what people wanted to drink, to which the same person came up and asked if it was our stroller that was standing in the corner. We said yes, after which he said it had to go. It should be said that there are almost no visitors, there are a few customers sitting at a couple of tables inside and no guests outside either in front or at their backyard. My wife politely asks if we can move the stroller into their backyard since we have our sleeping son out in it. To this the waiter replies no, it has to go away from their area and leaves. I get up and go down to him. Look him deep in the eyes and say. Tell me a good argument for me to remove my stroller when you have no customers out front. He looks at me and says it's due to procedure. I ask what procedure when there are no others and guests to which he doesn't know what to say. I look at him and say I hope damn it you're proud that you're asking us to remove our sleeping baby from your area which makes no difference to you but a huge difference to us. I go out to my son and remove him from where we've parked him and am determined to stay out here until the family is finished. Shortly after, they all come out in pure protest about the way you handled us. I could understand if you had a day with full booking and the tables had to be used outside. But there were NO people! Where is your service, where is my humanity and understanding? I will never set foot in such an inhumane cafe. I must add that in the two other places we were we met understanding and nice staff who even helped us make room for our stroller, we will visit such places again.

08/10/2026: Friends told us about this great cafe for a break when walking through the beautiful city of Aarhus. Easy walk from the cruise port. Great for people watching, great service, and really good food. Tip: order inside at the bar and they deliver the food to you inside or outside.

13/10/2026: Went there with very low expectations and ended up having so much fun! Based on the reviews I was afraid to be mistreated at the door by the security staff, but luckily nothing happened besides the regular checks for alcohol bottles and shots while queuing at the door. To our surprise some people were trying to enter the club with 4-5 bottles of beer, which was indeed detected bu the staff. The music selection was great for a night out where you want to dance and sing out loud easy pop songs. Not sure if their djs change, but this guy last Saturday was great. Point for the crowd for being so happy all the time, although quite a high amount seemed rude when transiting from one part of the dancefloor to the other. Simply walking through the crowd as a bulldozer would not get you smiles or friends. I personally prefer to say “sorry” as I pass through or just do it in a kind way showing respect around you.

25/09/2026: I was the first guest at 8:00 am and received a really delicious flat white from the extremely friendly staff member, so I was pleasantly surprised.

24/09/2026: I've always considered them one of the better McD's, but it's definitely going downhill for them... Last time my food was lukewarm at best. Pfft. I had picked up from BK and just had to take a simple one with me from McD's too - when I got home the one from BK was piping hot, and McD's was almost cold. There's a big difference in how much is in your burger from time to time, even though it's the same kind. Sometimes your chili cheese tops are almost completely empty inside, other times ok. It's really a huge minus. I've actually always experienced that they compensate nicely if the food has been a long time in transit, so their service towards me has been ok - but I've quite often experienced others waiting a long time without so much as an apology, or that they are even greeted with a harsh tone. Overall, the restaurant is not that exciting to be in. Often the employees hear really loud music from the kitchen, which drowns out the music in the restaurant. The play area is tucked away a bit, which is a plus for both sound and the kids' play. The main entrance is to the drive-thru, and it's simply beyond my understanding how anyone thought that was a good idea. The area in front is illogical and annoying. It's still one of the better McD's - and that honestly says a lot about the others... 😬

04/09/2026: Bad service, communication and food We have booked a table for 18 people. When I booked the table I was told that we had to pre-order our food, as we were a large group. It made sense, so we did. We were told that it was fine to send an email on the day with our pre-orders. A few days before I wanted to ask if it was possible to pay by invoice, but had to write to them 3 times before I got a response. When we arrived, we were told that they had changed their menu, so we suddenly couldn't get some of what we had ordered. The fact that they hadn't replied to my email with our food order, that the menu had been changed and that it was therefore not possible to get what we had ordered, made no sense. Instead we got a pasta dish that consisted of pasta with far too much raw garlic, bathed in oil. The drinks we ordered did not come, as we were aware of this, they came when we were finished. The pasta dishes that contain meat had almost no meat in them. We sat at 2 tables, which was okay since we were a large group, but it was so hot in there and the air was so dense that it became uncomfortable to sit in there.

03/09/2026: The pasta was not even fully cooked, hard and stuck together. The dishes were not even remotely close to what it was supposed to be (by their names)…tragic experience. We got two pasta dishes, some beverages and wine. The waiters were the worst I have ever seen. Didn’t even bring us utensils when we asked for them. Never checked up on our table.

13/10/2026: Bad service. And they don't put lemon or mint in their iced tea. We previously ordered from the shop inside Bruun's gallery where it was much better and with everything!

27/02/2026: Edited 26 February 2026. From a strong 4* down to a 1* Have they changed ownership?? The good customer service which kept me coming back has disappeared. Such a rude person on the end of the phone. I rang and ordered for a delivery. It was taken and a rough time was given. All good. 2 mins later I get a call from the shop " we don't have mobile pay. Only cash accepted" CRUD!!! I didn't even know if we had 2kr in the house never mind the little over 200kr for our order. I went into panic and said wait let me check. My voice may have sounded stressed, cause I was. I am rummaging through a backpack for a purse to check if we had it. I am trying to explain this ,and he is stressing only cash and how much, I say put the order on hold, I will ring back and either confirm or cancel. He says it will be there in about 20 to 30. Which was half the time from the time given with the first employee. I shout " put the order on hold and I will ring back in 5 mins" because at this point I hadn't confirmed we had enough money in the house. Before I had even finished he shouted " we can't deliver to you." CLICK. I have worked in the service industry and know how to talk to people who speak with a strong accent, I know how to tell them to take it easy and get to a result. And I expect that same level of understanding. I know I have an accent and understand that I can be even more difficult to understand when I get stressed. And what delivery service doesn't have mobile pay in these times? . . I can't give a 5 star rating,but they deserve more than 4, I would happilygive it 9 out of 10. I have been a customer for roughly 3 years. I have had 2 problems in that time. One of them tonight...they ran out of chicken for the pizzas 😱😭😅 still ended up with a well prepared Hawaiian, to the time I ordered and it tasted great. The first time the problems warranted a complaint but the sort of complaint that could wait until I went in next time. I still enjoyed the food on that occasion. When I went in to complain,I left the shop happy, felt like I had been heard and understood. I can recommend talking to the owner. You may be surprised. I know I was. 😉🤣🤣

05/09/2026: Too long queue, sat and waited for over an hour, not all the food was there and much was sold out, which we only found out when we got to the window after 1 hour of queueing… Could you inform us before driving into the drive-in.

14/07/2026: Quality food. (Get the Panenka Burger!) Quality Atmosphere. Live World Cup on massive TV’s. Even in the toilet! 😂 Cider and beers on draft. Would recommend.

25/09/2026: We've had breakfast here twice now. The service was very friendly and offered vegan options for my girlfriend. The first time I had a chicken and bacon sandwich, the second time I had pulled beef. Both were delicious. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her food. The food is freshly prepared, and the juices are fresh too. Priced-wise, it's not cheap by German standards, but definitely reasonable. Highly recommended ☺️

29/07/2026: Super cozy place. Pretty good price for what you get... beats many other places in terms of price. Both pizza and manakish taste great. There were many other interesting Arabic things on the menu, must try that another day. Nice staff and very atmospheric.

20/06/2025: A bit of a bummer to pay 75 kr for a tomato that has been cut out and some peas on top. Otherwise a nice place to have a beer, but the food is not to be raved about.

16/08/2026: Had dinner at Lava last week. We found the place almost at the end of the stream, after having opted out of all the "hip" places up from Magazin. It's cozy with a good cafe atmosphere, good choices on the menu also on wine and other drinks. Above all, you can eat at a reasonable price and be full.

11/08/2026: The food didn't taste like anything. Order from here if you want to eat a salad named 'Burger' on the menu.
