24/08/2026: After a tour of the entire Aarhus street food scene, my first choice was the "Duck You" burger from Duck It, along with a portion of duck-fat fries and a spicy dip. The burger consisted of confit duck, pickled red cabbage, a house sauce, and a fluffy brioche bun. In fact, the burger was a bit underwhelming and surprisingly bland. The duck was okay, but already somewhat dried out and not as juicy as one would expect from confit duck. Despite being pickled, the red cabbage definitely lacked punch and, above all, acidity. It wasn't bad by any means, but I had expected a much stronger flavor explosion overall. So, for me, the burger unfortunately landed in the average range. The fries, on the other hand, were top-notch. The type of fat used for frying really makes a difference, and you could taste it immediately. They were also perfectly salted and beautifully crispy. The accompanying spicy dip, however, was unfortunately just spicy, lacking any truly complex flavor profile. A bit of a shame.

14/07/2026: Quality food. (Get the Panenka Burger!) Quality Atmosphere. Live World Cup on massive TV’s. Even in the toilet! 😂 Cider and beers on draft. Would recommend.

11/07/2026: I stopped by Panenka Bar to see if I could book a table for Saturday's match between Norway and England. Unfortunately, the experience was not very good. There was no welcome when I entered, and when I asked if it was possible to book a table, I was simply told: “You can send an email.” I was a bit surprised, as I was physically standing at the bar to make a booking. When I subsequently asked for the email address, it was met with a sigh and a very unengaged attitude. I don't expect anything special, but a little friendliness and service should be a given when visiting a bar. Unfortunately, it left a pretty bad first impression.

29/07/2026: Super cozy place. Pretty good price for what you get... beats many other places in terms of price. Both pizza and manakish taste great. There were many other interesting Arabic things on the menu, must try that another day. Nice staff and very atmospheric.

13/08/2026: The first thing I was greeted with when I walked in was all the big bags of trash lying on the floor in front of the door. You could easily trip over them. While I was waiting (for about eight minutes) for my food, an employee (younger gentleman) threw several trash bags on the floor and walked slower than someone with a sprained ankle. The same employee forgot to call out the finished orders a couple of times. The food itself was quite expected from McDonald’s. Dry meat, tasteless vegetables. I was not given any napkins, which I have gotten elsewhere without having to ask for them. Luckily my food was so dry that I didn’t need them anyway.

18/12/2025: Hair in the food and unprofessional handling afterwards My wife and I ordered sushi from Sushi Art Viby on December 4th at 6pm from Viby Torv. We have previously been satisfied customers, which made this experience extra disappointing. During dinner, my wife discovered a hair in one of the sushi boxes. We were sitting with a group, and she therefore chose not to say anything right away so as not to ruin the appetite of the rest. However, that does not change the seriousness of the matter - hair in the food is unacceptable and raises serious doubts about hygiene. We have documentation in the form of pictures. However, we were told by the owner that you have to call before you have eaten the food to have it exchanged. During the conversation, it was also suggested several times that we might be trying to cheat ourselves out of free food. We found this to be both unpleasant and very unprofessional. Although the incident took place on December 4th, we still have not heard from the restaurant manager. The explanation was that he was busy leading up to the New Year, which we find difficult to accept when it comes to a serious complaint regarding hygiene and customer service. Based on this experience, we have decided that we will not eat at Sushi Art in the future. We have also shared the way the matter has been handled with friends, family and colleagues. Overall, the experience has been very disappointing and has left a bad impression, despite previous good experiences.

06/12/2025: So I finally got myself together to try 🍣 takeaway at Sushi Mania. It turned out to be 10 pieces. maki rolls with both crab, salmon or rice. Wasabi was good strong. The rolls were a little larger than the ones I'm used to and I was well full of 10 pieces. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back. See my profile for more tips about Aarhus or other places

09/08/2025: Came in with a huge bias and thought another generic bar/Cafe concept. I only got wine but a huge plus for Taylors LBV at 64 Kr. for a glass and free Danish water ❤️ the service is friendly, fast and with personality. 5/5

08/08/2025: We got a fish soup as a main course. The portion was very small and lukewarm. On the bottom of the plate was cheese (it looked like grated cheddar from a bag) and what was called chili mayo (it looked and tasted more like buko pikant). Then you got 3 small spoonfuls of fish stock with tomato and onion on top. I really had a hard time tasting the fish, the soup quickly mixed with the big lump of cheese and buko pinkant-like substance. It turned into a disgusting mass that separated and pulled threads. I ate about 1/4, but still left feeling slightly nauseous. They claim that it is Latin's fish soup, -I can't recognize that at all.

06/08/2026: We paid for the filth and disgusting experience! At least seven dirty tables littered with junk, and the barmaids looked unfriendly. Today it looked extremely dirty and unpleasant. The service and attention were terrible.

07/07/2026: When you order, order like you're talking to a small child. Order an iced blond roast with an extra shot and an iced mocha with an extra shot. For an iced mocha with a triple shot and an iced blond roast. Said that wasn't what I ordered and the woman who took my order gets really frustrated and says: "what do you want?" In the absolute most lame way. The woman who took my order was so disgusting, I've never experienced anything like it. I didn't get it changed because she didn't want to, but I got an extra shot in the other one....

08/03/2026: We were four people - and had been looking forward to a good experience! It wasn't. There is no reasonable relationship between price and quality - not to mention quantity. ONLY visit Dauphine if you are NOT hungry. In particular, the main course was smaller than expected or a child's portion. with COLD small pieces of Jerusalem artichokes. The squash course tasted bad - to my taste. The dessert tasted good - but the lentil base was poor and probably bought in a supermarket. Dear Dauphine: I don't think you can be familiar with it. Not at all harmony between price, quantity and quality. Regretted we had driven almost 200 km - to visit you regards. peder kirkeby

21/02/2026: Had read the good reviews and chose Dauphine for our trip out to the Aarhus food scene in connection with Dining Week. Unfortunately, the evening was characterized by the need to rush through, and that the chosen menu should be easy to reheat and serve. The starter was not balanced - large temperature differences between the cold and the hot on the plate, the main ingredient, a "salmon terrine" of some kind, had not been out of the fridge long enough. The main course was unacceptably small, but otherwise tasty. The dessert was quite ok. But again, the feeling that it was just a matter of serving pre-cooked food prepared for the hordes permeated the experience. Unfortunately, the service was not good either. We were received by a man who was clearly not used to being in the restaurant (kitchen?), he barely said hello, did not point out a wardrobe in the somewhat narrow space, was not present and was in a hurry to move on, could not advise on a simple level regarding the choice of wine, "it was a white wine", no one ever asked if it tasted good or if it was satisfactory, no one came and asked if the drinks needed to be refilled, a woman suddenly came and cleared the table and reached over us without a single expression, no words, no one said what was going to happen next (pre-ordered 3-course menu). We approached the serious draft from the window facing the street, where we were sitting right up and down. The winter weather was really taking hold, but we asked nicely if it was possible to get another table, because it was raw cold for the legs to sit up against a leaky window at full height. It was swept away pretty quickly without making an impression. I don't usually write reviews, and am usually pretty generous as long as people make an effort and/or are nice and friendly, and the food is reasonable, but the whole experience just wasn't good and we couldn't finish fast enough. We won't be coming here again, although a regular a la carte evening is probably a different experience.

05/06/2026: Cozy atmosphere, good beers and nice courses. Really cozy place where we went with a group of colleagues.

09/08/2026: I would like to complain about unacceptable service and some incompetent employees. I was in Lagkagehuset and 2 really disrespectful girls were working and they laughed and were not at all welcoming or competent to do a job at all!! Last time I go in there!

08/08/2026: ⭐ 1/5 – 135 kr. straight out the window Really disappointing experience at Joe & The Juice in Bruuns Galleri. Bought a Green Mile and a Hell of a Nerve, and already at the first sip both my daughter and I could taste that something was wrong. The juice was extremely thin and clearly tasted like there were missing ingredients. We are regular customers and have been drinking the same juices for about 5 years, so we know very well how they should taste. While we were still standing in the store, I brought it to the attention of the employee. I barely managed to explain the problem before she interrupted me with the statement that “it varies from place to place”. Excuse me, but since when does a fixed recipe vary so much that the avocado almost disappears? The worst thing was the employee's attitude. She didn't even take the juice to examine it or offer to remake it. We were just rejected. Mistakes can happen – it's how you handle them that makes the difference. Unfortunately, there was neither service nor interest in solving the problem. 135 kr. for two bad juices and even worse customer service. Really disappointing, especially when you are a regular customer.

27/06/2026: We ordered a carrot smoothie, iced oat latte, and 2 sandwiches (club and serano). Everything was super delicious, except the serano sandwich too salty. Also, the sandwich of 94 kr feels too overpriced. Overall, good café.

23/08/2026: Very dirty restaurant, there were dirty tables and trash cans not emptied, there was food on the floor and no one bothered to do it

22/08/2026: It's a McDonald's. You get what you expect. Friendly and helpful staff.
