05/07/2025: We had fish'n chips and tiramisu.
Both were super delicious. The fish was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just like it should be. Delicious side dishes. The tiramisu was creamy and full of flavor - and plentiful 😋
The service was welcoming, attentive and pleasant.
And you get a lot for your money, I think.
Would love to come back.
29/06/2025: Lovely rural place, atmosphere and the food tasted good. Well-prepared and fresh ingredients. There were two of us who had lunch and ordered respectively. a potato dish to share, once a shrimp dish with poached egg on sieved bread and once salmon on rye bread spread with chive cream cheese on a bed of prepared beetroot. Topped with dill mayo and beetroot sprouts. Lovely food and a nice portion, so we were well full. Cold beer too.

09/07/2025: Really nice experience and the best food I've had on Samsø! Very attentive waiters and the chef came out to all the tables to check if everything was as it should be. The food tasted absolutely fantastic and was local and fresh. Relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices.
29/06/2025: Very good food (pea soup for starters and scallops and hake for the main course) and great staff. We were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended.

13/07/2025: We already knew this restaurant from our visit two years ago, so we visited several times this time and were always very satisfied with the food, service, and pleasant atmosphere inside and out. We opted for the set menu with fillet steak and crab salad, and another time for the salad with crab and tuna. All highly recommended. Most guests rave about the pizzas...which are also available in six-packs and are picked up every minute. Parking is available next to the building. We'd love to come back❤️
12/07/2025: Ordered online and was supposed to have an otherwise delicious pizza no. 68 which appears to contain tomato, cheese, ham, bacon, sausages, pepperoni, mushrooms and chili, but no, it also has gorgonzola cheese on it, its website just chooses not to show it, you could say it's my fault, but I would still think that it's cheaply set up and cheats the buyer as you either have to order via computer or phone, which the majority of the population doesn't do. The pizzas are also very expensive compared to other places in the country and the pizzas aren't very big

04/07/2025: Dry schnitzels, missing "boy", dry frozen fish fillets for the shooting stars. Boring steak in the burger. There was a general lack of seasoning and love. Very hot in the restaurant. However, nice and attentive service.

26/04/2025: Tenderloin casserole with mushroom sauce and rice. From our assessment, it was not tenderloin. Way too little rice. Otherwise it was well prepared and tasty. Cozy with candles etc. but somewhat worn place.

15/07/2025: We have eaten here 8-9 times for lunch during the Easter and summer holidays 2025. Perfect every time. By far the best smørrebrød place on Nordsamsø.
14/07/2025: Excellent restaurant where we enjoyed the fish of the day on the terrace, carefully prepared and delicious. The dish was complemented by a side of authentic island legumes and potatoes. A good selection of non-alcoholic craft beers. Excellent bread. Welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. We highly recommend this place!

14/07/2025: A simple, no-frills, yet welcoming place located on the edge of the small harbor. Friendly service, excellent, carefully prepared food. A place to definitely return.
Tip: I suggest a wider selection of non-alcoholic beers, especially Danish craft beers.
13/07/2025: We visited this restaurant on a stormy evening, and apart from us, there was only one other couple there. We received a friendly welcome and were even allowed to park our car in a secure area near the entrance. The menu is straightforward, and the view of the nearby sea is priceless. We opted for plaice and fish cakes (2). The wait was a bit long, due to the fact that everything was freshly prepared. We were very satisfied and would gladly return!

10/07/2025: 12 months of patience wasted – an experience filled with frustration and disappointment
I rarely write reviews, but this experience with Samsø Badehotel has unfortunately left me so disappointed that I feel the need to warn others.
After almost a year – yes, 12 months – of repeated attempts to get a booking in place, and several cancellations from the hotel, hope was finally there that we could complete the stay. Along the way, I have kept myself informed, including about the validity of the gift card, and when I was told that it was still active, I of course took it with me.
But then it turned out that it had “just been used” – without me being informed – and it was almost turned against me. Honestly, it felt like a deliberate strategy to avoid fulfilling an obligation. It seemed as if the hotel found a “smart” way to escape responsibility – and it leaves a bitter taste.
The service throughout has been anything but accommodating. I have experienced a lack of communication, cancellations without real compensation, and an overall feeling that our experience was not taken seriously.
I am sorry – not just for the wasted time and money, but for the way we have been treated. A place that thrives on the trust of guests and the expectation of a special stay should be able to do better.
My hope is that no one else will have to feel the same way we did. Choose wisely – and be aware of what you are getting into.
