17/07/2025: Dieses Restaurant besticht auf den ersten Blick durch seine Lage direkt am Hafen von Ballen,seine beiden Terrassen und sein schönes lnnen-Ambiente.Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas.Wir entschieden uns für den Krabbencocktail und einen Burger, und waren sehr zufrieden.

25/07/2025: Actually a really nice place with many small corners and crips to find peace and tranquility. Bar and kitchen is plain with the selections, but you can get the basics. Summers run with live music indoors during evening. Lots of fun with both locals and tourists.

26/04/2025: Tenderloin casserole with mushroom sauce and rice. From our assessment, it was not tenderloin. Way too little rice. Otherwise it was well prepared and tasty. Cozy with candles etc. but somewhat worn place.

13/07/2025: The rooms were clean, but a little worn. The beds were good. Really delicious dinner and service. The breakfast selection was a little thin, but ok.

15/07/2025: We have eaten here 8-9 times for lunch during the Easter and summer holidays 2025. Perfect every time. By far the best smørrebrød place on Nordsamsø.

14/07/2025: Excellent restaurant where we enjoyed the fish of the day on the terrace, carefully prepared and delicious. The dish was complemented by a side of authentic island legumes and potatoes. A good selection of non-alcoholic craft beers. Excellent bread. Welcoming atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating staff. We highly recommend this place!

22/07/2025: Super cozy place and great staff. Beautiful view and lots of good seating. They know how to make people feel comfortable. The food is super delicious and well worth the price.

09/07/2025: really nice employees, but unfortunately they are a bit stingy with their ice cream scoops. Very small ice cream scoops for the price... We paid 35 kr for a scoop in a cup and the amount of ice cream was about the size of a small tablespoon.

14/07/2025: A simple, no-frills, yet welcoming place located on the edge of the small harbor. Friendly service, excellent, carefully prepared food. A place to definitely return. Tip: I suggest a wider selection of non-alcoholic beers, especially Danish craft beers.

13/07/2025: We visited this restaurant on a stormy evening, and apart from us, there was only one other couple there. We received a friendly welcome and were even allowed to park our car in a secure area near the entrance. The menu is straightforward, and the view of the nearby sea is priceless. We opted for plaice and fish cakes (2). The wait was a bit long, due to the fact that everything was freshly prepared. We were very satisfied and would gladly return!

10/07/2025: 12 months of patience wasted – an experience filled with frustration and disappointment I rarely write reviews, but this experience with Samsø Badehotel has unfortunately left me so disappointed that I feel the need to warn others. After almost a year – yes, 12 months – of repeated attempts to get a booking in place, and several cancellations from the hotel, hope was finally there that we could complete the stay. Along the way, I have kept myself informed, including about the validity of the gift card, and when I was told that it was still active, I of course took it with me. But then it turned out that it had “just been used” – without me being informed – and it was almost turned against me. Honestly, it felt like a deliberate strategy to avoid fulfilling an obligation. It seemed as if the hotel found a “smart” way to escape responsibility – and it leaves a bitter taste. The service throughout has been anything but accommodating. I have experienced a lack of communication, cancellations without real compensation, and an overall feeling that our experience was not taken seriously. I am sorry – not just for the wasted time and money, but for the way we have been treated. A place that thrives on the trust of guests and the expectation of a special stay should be able to do better. My hope is that no one else will have to feel the same way we did. Choose wisely – and be aware of what you are getting into.
