20/08/2026: We ate here on Tuesday. We've known the place for a long time and were really looking forward to it. The food was fantastic again; my highlight, believe it or not, was the salad dressing—a kind of garlic oil, or something like that. The weather should cooperate for eating in, as you can only sit outside, but you have a great view of the harbor. Absolutely fascinating!
Highly recommended!!!

Restaurant Dokken

20/08/2026: Yesterday we went to Dokken in Ballen on Samsø. What can I say, it was amazing! We received a warm welcome, the service was quick and very friendly. The food was fantastic; we had a main course and dessert. It wasn't exactly cheap, but the taste was absolutely top-notch, so it was worth every penny!
We'd go back anytime!

20/08/2026: Hey everyone, we went out for pizza again today. We regularly travel to Italy, but let me tell you, you don't need to go that far for pizza! The pizza at Don Juan in Ballen on Samsø is just as good as any pizza in Italy!! No wonder, since all the pizza chefs are from Italy. Friendly service, cold drinks, and always a spot for dogs – it couldn't be better. We're already looking forward to our next visit in May 2027!!

05/09/2026: There were 4 of us visiting. We had krokost smørrebrød, fish fillet with shrimp, green potato food, Tatar, plain potato food. It tasted absolutely fantastic, and some lovely large pieces, but didn't feel cheated but full. We can highly recommend the place, and there was good beer and the service was top notch. It's not the last time we'll be there. Thanks for the food🌞🌞🌞🌞
23/08/2026: Delicious seafood soup as a starter, then ordered 1 Paris steak and 2 burgers, the Paris steak was served with the comment that we unfortunately ran out of beetroot, the steak in all 3 dishes was super dry, so all in all a sad experience.

We ordered the tapas menu , beer and wine, and everything tasted truly good
The service was nice and personal and the relaxed atmosphere really suits this place.
I can very highly recommend this place if you are into chilled and relaxed atmosphere with good food and service

31/07/2026: Absolutely the most delicious, flavorful food cooked to perfection!
The whole restaurant is talking about it across the tables 😊
A few delicious dishes to choose from. Several tables tonight can recommend the hake, rib eye and octopus.
The service is polite and attentive.
The chef and owner for 9 years is from Bulgaria and the waiter from Greece and lovely to talk to.
Definitely worth a visit.

10/09/2026: We weren't very satisfied. The smoked salmon was way too salty.
The Krydder sild tasted very strongly of cloves and was overly sweet.
The fish cakes, however, were good in terms of taste and seasoning. 😌

30/08/2026: Good place, the staff are nice, sweet and helpful, the night spinning menu is made for possible, suitable for three types of food, no more. A hotel that needs renovation and modernization, the bed linen is not changed in the four days we were there, for me they are a hotel with only two rooms, who knows, I am still food. I came first, right after the corona virus, from that time I can't see they did anything new
29/07/2026: A really lovely experience that I can only recommend to others.
The host was attentive to the guests' needs, for example, I got a portion for dinner because he thought I looked hungry😀.
A good host who was definitely not greasy
The 2 dishes we got in the evening x 2 tasted lovely and well prepared.
The breakfast was also good.
The atmosphere at the hotel is cozy and charming
