23/03/2024: Café kik has been my favorite Café to go to in Silkeborg for many years. But the last time I was there I was a little shocked at how it had changed. We were met by a mildly unenthusiastic and not particularly welcoming waiter when we entered the place and during service. The food was a bit disappointing compared to what my partner and I have been served many times before, we are usually both very satisfied with the food. And while we were eating, one of the waiters sat on a chair outside the restaurant area on his mobile and the rest of the waiters stood in a large group at the bar talking privately. Which I have also never experienced before on a visit to café kik, the place usually seems very professional.

03/12/2023: Live in Nygade myself, went down to order a durum and a falafel roll, the falafel roll was cold when I received it, I ordered my durum without tomato and onion. When I got home there was both tomato and onion in it, when I went back to ask for a new one they insisted that I couldn't get a new one at all. Incredibly bad service, cannot recommend.

30/03/2024: We, together with family, just wanted to order food. My cousin could WELL order food, without mayonnaise. When it's my turn, I tell them that I also want to do without mayonnaise, on one dish, and mozzarella on a toas, as my two children are allergic to eggs and milk. The same (tall, young) clerk, goes to the kitchen and asks if I can do without the two parts on each rye bread and toast and goes back to me and says the kitchen can't handle it as they are too busy. My cousin was good at one dish. But the message to me was that since I wanted to do without something on two courses, it was too much for the kitchen to handle??? I asked if they had anything vegan (without milk and eggs) and asked if there was anything at all I could order for my kids? It wasn't because of hysteria, but ALLERGY. The answer was no. Unfortunately. I asked if I could then go and buy something, just for my children somewhere else, now that they had nothing. Answer was: “no. Then they would throw my children out” ?!?! I said.. but, the whole family is sitting in there and I just want to order some food for my kids. And if she meant it? It was just to do without mayonnaise and cheese. "Yes. That's how it was" And I said that then I had to write it to their manager. Hereby done. My cousin then went and ordered one for food, with avocado, WITHOUT mayonnaise, and SHE HAD TO LIKE THAT! Either you are missing something vegan. Or you lack some knowledge of the staff.

08/03/2024: You feel so Normal in these Original surroundings. Coziness, atmosphere and fun features on the walls. Should you now be missing a tube of glue when you are sitting in a cafe, it could be that the heel fell off the shoe when enjoying the good coffee. You never know...😉

29/03/2024: Really good place with good service, food and drink at reasonable prices considering the location. Worth a visit and can be recommended.
