21/08/2026: Chose a maternity basket for 300 kr. Neutral colors. Cute contents, especially the little crocheted hat. I got a text message with a picture before packing. Then you can first check the contents and see if it's fine or if you want something else. That's what I call service!

13/08/2026: The food and drinks were on point as always. But we had only ordered two hours as we had a backlog. But something went wrong so we didn't get dessert. That's an important detail they should have had more control over.

02/08/2026: Really a fantastic place to come, and we actually had a special experience when the side table suddenly called the waiter over, said they didn't want to wait any longer, and they hadn't either, as they had drunk bubbles and eaten snacks for the first 40 minutes, just like the rest of us had enjoyed ourselves, but the young lady said they would like to pay for what they had had, and then they wanted to leave, despite their serving being on the serving table. I must say that the young waiter showed character when he said that he was very sorry, but the snacks and bubbles were on the house bill.... well done 💪🍾🥂 because that party was completely out of control, they simply weren't okay with their behavior. 17/08/2026: A great place for authentic Danish food. The portions are generous; one or at most two per person is plenty. Everything is delicious, with excellent quality and presentation. The service from the waitresses is outstanding. Friendly from the moment we arrived and very attentive. It's a pleasure to eat in places like this.

30/06/2026: My partner and I are greeted by polite staff and can choose a table outside. I choose a bun with butter and West Sea cheese, and of course expect a large portion of a bun with butter and cheese for 65 kr. (most other cafes charge between 35-40 kr for a BMO). Unfortunately, I am disappointed as one bun is divided into seven pieces, which are only three slices of cheese, and one tiny little packet of butter. Furthermore, it is a rather dry and chewy pleasure to eat the bun. I would probably have just chosen to divide the bun in two, so it required 2 pieces of toppings, rather than 7. My partner gets a slice of bread with tomato, three pieces of salmon and half an avocado on top. It tasted fine, but was incredibly difficult to eat, as it all falls apart, with such a presentation. Furthermore, he orders an espresso macchiato. There is a slight misunderstanding with the order, and he receives a latte macchiatto instead. He goes in and asks if it can be true, and is greeted by a rude waiter who immediately brushes him off. So he doesn't end up getting what he ordered, and we end up with a rather bad overall impression of the place. We did get a carrot cake, which was good, and all the other cakes looked good too. Based on our experience, Penny Lane Café can be recommended for coffee and cake, but nothing more than that.

25/06/2026: Wow! What a beautiful "place" in Aalborg. I don't even want to call it a café, because it's not really one. You can find something wonderful in every corner. The treats on offer look amazing. The prices are all reasonable. If you're ever in Aalborg, come here and take your time. Addendum: I haven't said anything about the fantastic staff. After visiting them twice over three days, a blonde lady really came across: always friendly, always smiling. She's the best service staff; you'd want to go to her restaurant or café. Plus, she's beautiful :-) I hope the Google Translate text is understandable :-)

16/07/2026: Very good pizza, no complaints. There are only two tables inside. If you're ever in the area, there's a park a little further away near a small pond where you can eat.

01/08/2026: Incredibly kind and hospitable people. We dined twice there and both times the food was lovely and fresh and tasty. I also left my jacket there by mistake and we weren’t able to pick it up before our flight back to Austria. They posted the jacket back to me to Austria without asking for anything in return. I was really touched. I hope to visit again 💖
