My bestie is a chef and also has only praise for the food we were served.. Fresh fish fillets and homemade remoulade..
Today 26.8.23 we got the offer of the month *starburst apple cake and coffee.. The dressing to die for.. Got extra even though there was plenty.. 😋😋🥰
3rd visit. Friend and I had bought a deal.. The waiter was a bit difficult to understand (not Danish). It was hot this day, asked if we could sit outside.. It was not possible even though there were others sitting outside.. We with deals had to sit in a row.. The food is never anything to complain about.. You eat well here.. 😋

11/10/2025: Friendly service, but the food was nothing special. We got schnitzel and fish n chips. Schnitzel was wet with grease and not crispy. French fries were the usual kind you get at a grill bar. There was only one (not very large) piece of fish for fish n chips. The peas were a bit overcooked. For the food we ended up with 280kr and we weren't very full. We won't be back👎🏻

23/11/2025: A fantastic shooting star for a late lunch. Good ingredients and pan-fried fish fillet. And a delicious glass of white wine to go with it.
A wonderful experience can definitely be recommended.
26/09/2025: I think it was a very negative atmosphere on the part of the waiters and when you had to choose food from the menu they came back relatively quickly so you didn't have time to choose anything.

23/11/2025: Lovely evening at NerD. We had their Christmas lunch with 8 courses and four glasses of wine. Everything was first class. Good atmosphere, sweet and skilled service, tasty wine and incredibly good and exciting food. We would love to come back.
31/10/2025: First of all, we sat and froze! Ordered 3 courses. Sat and waited an hour for the starter, without any snacks or bread. The Frederikshavn toast tasted like the tasteless virgin lobster bisque, just thickened. Waited half an hour more for the next course, the fish was full of bones (which the waitress did make us aware of in advance….-but that didn't make the experience any better!!! They had run out of one dessert and the other - the panna cotta had a nasty sour taste. The waitress apologized for the wait after we complained and said that the chefs had a big business elsewhere in town. We should have at least been given AN extra glass of wine for the long wait!

16/10/2025: A beautiful place with excellent food! Ribeye steak with homemade béarnaise sauce – a poem! You can see the ships moored at anchor, and especially at dusk, it's a beautiful and pleasant place to eat well and enjoy life!
13/09/2025: We chose the café over the restaurant, and it was a great experience: the fish and chips were excellent, the prawn dish (rajemad) superb, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the location was beautiful. Well done!

03/09/2025: If you enjoy sitting by the harbor and appreciate authentic Danish fish dishes, this is the place for you. Self-service (very efficiently organized), very friendly staff with excellent English skills. The price-performance ratio is decent by Danish standards: 400 kroner for two people.
02/09/2025: It was OK, but nothing more. We've had better fish restaurants in Denmark. I can't say whether the restaurants next door would have been any better.

26/08/2025: Delicious food. Rødspaette fillet with rugbrød (backbread) and scampi fritti. Several picnic benches and tables. Heaters and blankets for when it's chilly.

23/02/2025: Har besøgt Jacobs Fiskerestaurant en del gange efterhånden, men syntes det atter var tid af sende en vurdering af stedet.
Var der til frokostbuffet og der var klokken 13.00 en hel del gæster.
Fik hurtigt et bord og fik bestilt drikkevarer og så kunne man gå i buffeten. Rart at personalet mindede alle om ,sprit hænder og brug plast en gangs handsker der ligger klar til brug.
Her er bare så mange lækre retter, salater, supper og godt brød så det er svært at vælge, man kan simpelthen ikke prøve alt.
Men utroligt lækkert anrettet og der blev hele tiden fyldt op med nyt, dejligt.
God kvalitet og priser der stemmer.
Kommer gerne igen og kan anbefale stedet.
18/01/2025: Super lækker buffet. Mange retter. Der blev hele tiden fyldt op og skiftet ud, så den hele tiden var frisk og indbydende. Indretningen er lidt trist, da lokalet er så stort, men far man et bord ude i kanten, mærkes det ikke så meget. Styr på hygiejnen. Sød betjening.

06/01/2025: Here they have really managed to bring the cozy farm atmosphere that they are known for out at "Essens Gaarden" into the city!
The food was absolutely fantastic and from their own fields. I got a "whole hectare" as they say in there. Top service! Will definitely be back!..
