14/04/2026: After exploring Sonderborg in the morning, we decided to have lunch at Cafe Kjukken. It is a modern, bright, and cozy cafe, right next to the library. Large windows offer a view of the wide waters of the fjord that runs through Sonderborg. We ordered an iced coffee, a decaffeinated coffee, and rye bread with fish fillet, shrimp, lettuce, roe, and mayonnaise. The taste, freshness, and presentation of the plate were fantastic. The service was friendly, humorous, and knowledgeable—top-notch. The value for money is good. A wonderful lunch for us in Sonderborg.

30/05/2026: Proper american vibe, delicious food and good variety of beer. Unlimited side dish and cheaper beer refills definitely left a smile on my face.

16/07/2025: Had high expectations for the coffee but was disappointed. The cappuccino was watery and tasted almost like milk. We ordered a cake which took 25 minutes to get, even though we went in and asked twice. They had forgotten it after all. No apology or anything like that, just: Well, that was boring. I won't be going here to drink coffee again.

11/07/2026: Came into the bar for the first time - all the way from Copenhagen, mind you! Fantastic service by ESPECIALLY Patrick. Never experienced anything like it. 5/5 stars from here. Besides that, the beer and drinks were cheap.

26/06/2026: The place has been such a crazy good vibe on numerous occasions. The staff and people have been more than just welcoming us. You can either sit inside on the main floor or upstairs (where you can play pool, cards and dart), such as outside (chairs, couch, umbrellas for shade). Great beverages (bottled or tapped), such as cocktails. I've met so much amazing people there, always down for a Pint together and get to know each other. Everyone's pretty open and laid back. It doesn't matter at all if you're a local, a tourist or anything else. You'll definitely make friends in here. Worth giving it a shot.

30/06/2026: Beautiful campsite on the beach. The lady at the campsite was friendly. Sanitary facilities outdated, but clean!

28/06/2026: Beautifully situated campsite 🏕️ directly on the Baltic Sea. The pitches are located immediately behind the beach. Permanent camping cabins and pitches for motorhomes are available. There is direct access to the sea. Beautiful, expansive beach right there 😉🏕️

13/06/2026: In the coziest garden surrounded by art with good service and well-prepared food, this little gem is a place I hope we will return to.

01/04/2026: We were a group of young people and they gave us fantastic service! It closes at 00:00, but because they could see the atmosphere was good in my group, they let us stay as long as we wanted. FANTASTIC place will come again!

24/10/2025: The food is clearly the worst part of the experience. Not that it was bad food, but it is miles away from restaurant food. It is the quick and boring solutions with vegetables from the freezer, cheap and indifferent meat and dressing, sauce etc. from a bucket. But you can't expect more at those prices. It costs the same for a meal here as a standard pizza from the local pizza place. There were many guests, so the price etc. hits the clientele really well.

06/06/2026: Saturday for lunch - ordered sandwiches. Not many guests inside or outside. But apparently two? hidden parties. No sound of problems. Then we heard a waiter remark to a new guest that there was some waiting time. We had to move “urgently” for our food. It was served 55 minutes after ordering. It's just not anywhere near just good enough. When you're not warned at the start. Sandwiches were generally ok. Packaged rye bread with cold cuts from some supermarket and a little mayo and some greens. It was definitely edible, but it didn't surprise us positively. The place left a negative and miserable impression. It's probably a great bar on Friday/Saturday, and that's what the place should probably be.

06/06/2026: If you want beer, good beer and different beers, this is the place! If you want to eat, don't. It takes a very long time and not worth the wait

06/05/2026: There were 2 of us. We sat outside with the most beautiful view and were going to drink a glass of champagne before we had dinner. The waiter came out with 2 glasses of champagne. I thought he was going to pour it for us. The explanation was that he had to measure it so that we got the right amount. Too little or a little too much wouldn't have made a difference! The water also came in a white wine bottle with a label? Fine with recycling - but then I think the bottle should be without a label. The champagne and the view were perfect, but I think the other thing was a bit "strange". Maybe it's us who aren't used to coming to a wine bar. 😀

28/05/2026: Sensational food - personal service - magnificent view of the marina
