01/09/2025: Very tasty burgers. Fresh ingredients. Great atmosphere. Very good service. We sat outside and ordered at the counter. Food and drinks were brought to our seats. The menu is also available in German. We'd be happy to come back.

27/08/2025: We took a trip to Sonderburg and decided to have lunch at Skaal. Because the notice at our table—we were sitting outside—said we should order at the bar, we first got a menu inside. It was available in German and Danish. We then ordered at the bar in English. The drinks and food were brought to our table and arrived quickly. The chicken and chips (chicken with fries) was very tasty. The onions on the meatloaf were a bit overcooked, but otherwise it was very good. The service staff was very friendly. Paying with a German debit card was easy. Tipping wasn't possible with card payments, but they were happy to accept euros. At the next table, a Danish couple had ordered a beer tasting with 10 different beers. It looked interesting. We can recommend Skaal.

25/07/2025: Very nice, clean and quiet hotel, very nice and helpful staff, beautiful view from the room, comfortable bed, I highly recommend it, varied and good breakfast, and also a great location not far from the beach and the market square, so you can explore the city on foot at any time without worrying about getting back to the hotel. I highly recommend it again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

07/09/2025: Nice bakery with typical Danish bread and cake/cookies. Very tasty. Moderate prices. Very friendly and patient service. Paying with Visa card possible. We can highly recommend this place.

I bought 2 kinds of the small cakes, they were both good but the rabbit or the hardware took 1st prize. 17/04/2025: My friend and I had a super nice ending after a trip to the cinema at the Old Danish Pub. We had a draft beer and a drink and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and 100% agree that this will not be the last time we end up here

10/09/2025: An incredibly beautiful golf course with varied holes at a very, very fair price. Plus, almost every hole offers relaxing views of the sea, and both the fairways and (the fast) greens are in top condition! I'd drive back to the area just for the golf course!

06/07/2025: Nice restaurant for lunch. There were 4 of us who ordered different dishes. All 4 came relatively quickly, tasted really good. Good beers and everything at a good price. Can be recommended

24/09/2025: Great American ribs that was so tender, juicy & delicious. The crew was so nice, attentive & smiling that they got a great tip. Wonderful young people... Bottomless potatoes & drinks combined with good parking makes it a definite go-to place in Sønderborg. As an American couple in Europe we agreed this was an excellent experience - just like back home in the States.. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

09/09/2025: We booked a table for lunch and sat outside. We had a Caesar salad and the house burger and two beers. There are specials with the food, for example the ketchup was homemade. Here we were served by a very professional waiter who made the experience fantastic. The view of the water was fantastic. Then we went up to the 16th floor at the view point where you have a spectacular view. You should definitely try it.

24/06/2025: Today we enjoyed a lovingly curated cheese platter in this small but exquisite cheese shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained the different cheeses to us in detail. Highly recommended.

14/09/2025: For the first time .. a really bad experience. Was supposed to have fun with my little family, but we ended up getting up and going home after being taunted by one of the staff Terrible... I ate today with my girlfriend at Mongolian Barbecue in Sønderborg, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. We were denied a window seat, while two families got them shortly after – without a reservation. At the same time, she looked at us and said in the meantime to the newly arrived guests: "Yes, and I saved that one especially for you." We then got into a conversation with them at the table. I asked how to reserve a window seat, but they had no idea. It had been 10+ years since they had been there and they had not reserved a window seat. It is completely crazy, incompetent and embarrassing for the entire restaurant. The same employee ignored us without shame – arrogant, disrespectful and completely unacceptable. The food was fine, quite transparent and nothing wow. But the whole experience was ruined by incompetent, disrespectful and downright miserable service. This place is a perfect example of poor management, indifferent staff behavior and a complete lack of respect for guests. WARNING TO ALL: Avoid this place at all costs! You will be treated like crap, wasted time and money, and left with a feeling of contempt and injustice. Do not come here unless you want your visit completely sabotaged!

31/08/2025: The price-performance ratio could be a bit better. The 🍣 and the pre-prepared dishes at the buffet are also good.
