25/07/2026: Surprisingly good, different style, kind of home made, very fresh, very good. Staff nice. Worth trying.

23/05/2026: In overral pretty nice hotel. Breakfast with lots of options, even after six days it gets little boring. Tv could be improved with some smart tv and streaming options. Lots of parking, super close to the fort and the port. Staff super friendly and great selection of beers in the bar. Will be definitelly back.
17/05/2026: Great location in Sonderborg, comfortable room size, plenty of parking and an acceptable breakfast. We even had a view of the Baltic Sea.

01/08/2026: We family were going to have dinner.
I had chicken noodles, 7 year old girl had baked chicken and rice, dad had a large roast pork sandwich. Everything tasted really good and the service was good. We highly recommend eating at Hertug Burger!

16/08/2026: The pizza was okay, though not outstanding. We ordered around 4 pm for delivery at 5:30 pm. The confirmation was for 5:50 pm. The pizzas weren't actually delivered until 6:45 pm. Instead of an apology or anything similar, the driver seemed to expect a tip. The pizza arrived lukewarm. I can't recommend them.

19/07/2026: So much for "café." They only had filter coffee from a pot and not even milk. We also got really strange looks as tourists. We didn't feel welcome.

23/08/2026: The food was delicious. The pizza was excellent, and everything else was good too. The service was too slow; many staff members were away from the counter, not attending to customers. However, the order was taken correctly. No one came to take the payment; we had to get up and go to the cashier. There's room for improvement to earn five stars. The prices are too high for the average service.

We ate there and it was relatively quiet, which might be due to the slightly higher prices – but these are perfectly normal for Denmark.
Café Mauritz impressed us completely:
Taste & Presentation: The food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Service: The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and quick.
If you're in Sønderborg and looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere, you definitely can't go wrong here. We'll gladly come back!
