27/07/2025: Great location indoors as outdoors. Serves tea as it should be served, small or big can, not small cups as most places do in Denmark. Espresso was good, the raspberry muffin is recommended, but you should stop due to the blackcurrant sorbet.

06/01/2026: It's so cozy, you walk inside Gribskov and then the cutest little farmhouse appears right down to the water. You enter a small cozy living room, with a view of Esrum Lake and here there are volunteer older people who serve you in a polite manner. Very down to earth, come in as you look like you're on your picnic. Highly recommended - but a bit expensive.

14/06/2025: Today I was served by a very unfriendly clerk when I had to exchange a gas cylinder. She asked me to wait outside. Before she came out to me, she served many other customers. When she finally appeared, I said thank you, but she didn't answer – she just put the gas cylinder on the ground and left.

12/08/2025: With a group of 4 friends we could last minute join a wine tasting at Garbolund. We were happily surprised by the nice atmosphere: Michelle was a great host, the venue is cosy and the stories regarding the wines were fun to hear (some cool background stories!). A must visit if you are into natural wines 🩵 Mange tak!

13/07/2025: De snyd os for penge og satte ting på regningen vi ikke havde bedt om, og desværre opdaget vi det da vi var gået men vi synes det er for dårligt, og de sætter heller ikke moms på deres priser så husk at medregn det når i skal have noget fordi det bliver hurtigt mere dyrt. Vi skulle have betalt 211,- men det blev til 285,- så det er ikke bare 5 kroner som lige er til at overkomme men 74 kr ekstra er lige på grænsen....

06/10/2025: Great food, great atmosphere, great service. There is a bar just nearby. But the restaurant itself also serves various beers! I come here alone but are full of joys when going back.

27/08/2025: Very cozy place with music throughout the summer. Last visited for wine tasting with an alternative exciting selection from Lebanon and several Eastern European countries. A tasting glass for 100 kr. and you can taste all wines 🍷🥂

22/09/2025: Espresso Martini in a cup, flat beer and fish drowning in grease - those were the overall memories of dinner at Kongernes. Not to mention the feeling of being an inconvenience to the staff. The first warning should have been the unenthusiastic greeting despite having booked a table. We ended up deciding to sit outside to enjoy the last of the summer weather and managed to find cushions and blankets ourselves. The second red flag should have been the drinks. Two beers, of which the Carlsberg was as flat as a pancake, a watery Aperol Sprits - and an Espresso Martini in a small coffee cup. No foam. When we questioned it, we were first offered to have it transferred to a cocktail glass, and then told that they did not really have the ingredients for it. As the most expensive cocktail on the menu, this seemed a slightly surreal experience. We opted for another drink. After waiting for over 35 minutes to order food, we should probably have upped and left. However, we persevered, went inside, got a waiter to come outside and take the order. We made the mistake of asking what the fish of the day was and got the response "It is a white fish". The waiter left and came back, and at this point it was apparently necessary to have the chef/owner standing in the background to oversee the order taking. The oversight apparently did not extend to asking how any of the three steaks were to be cooked ... Now we settled down to wait for the food. And wait. And wait. We decided to move inside. Drinks were almost gone, but at no point did any of the two waiters come over and ask if we wanted anything else. If anything, we felt like an inconvenience and interruption to the family party that one of the waiters seemed to be a part of. The food arrived. The fillet was fine. Both entrecotes were far too red for the liking of the diners. There was some confusion about the sauces and the plates were cold. But the plaice was a disaster. Covered in rye bread crumbs and soaking in some grease it was close to inedible. At this point we just wanted to get out. When it came to pay the bill, we had been charged 110 kr for the espresso martini. I had to ask to have it changed to the replaced drink. No word of apology. I will always try and support local business and give people the benefit of the doubt. But apparently this is not the first time people are commenting on the poor service, so it cannot come as a chock to them. I, for one, cannot remember when we as a family last had such an appalling experience.

15/08/2025: We ordered two starters and a main course for dinner in the middle of the high season. In general, there was no match between the quality of the food and the price. The lobster bisque was tasteless and just boring. The tenderloin was the same and seemed almost unseasoned. The vegan dish was falafel and salad and unfortunately also incredibly boring and tasted of nothing but oil. Not even half the price seemed reasonable for that food. The staff was friendly, though. Unfortunately, this will not be a second visit for us.

06/01/2026: A wonderful place, wonderful staff, great service, but I have to give 1 star, because the bread is perhaps the most boring in Denmark, it is completely tasteless, all the bread and buns taste the same, unfortunately nothing,
