27/03/2025: I highly recommend it - it is the best restaurant in all of Denmark. For the first time in many years, I have had my fill of lovely, fresh food at an insanely good price. It is the place for those looking for good food – not for those looking for luxury and fine sensations.

24/07/2025: Extremely delicious place! Very good service, cozy atmosphere and EXTREMELY delicious sushi not least! I've been to almost all sushi restaurants in North Zealand and also many in Copenhagen, but this is 100% the best. And a very reasonable price too! 👌🏻

29/07/2025: Vi bestilte to frokostplatter á 179,- kr. på Café Valentin i Hillerød. Ventede så i hele 40 min. på servering! Men okay, de havde travlt, og vi kunne jo nyde øllen imens. Til hver platte hørte kun 1 stk. rugbrød og to små hvedestykker. Noget i underkanten til både fiskefilet, hønsesalat og rejer, medmindre man vil spise rent pålæg. Og så til 179,- kr. Vi bad derfor om et ekstra stk. rugbrød hver. De kom hurtigt, ikke noget problem (som man også kun kan forvente). MEN da vi så skulle betale, blev der lagt 29,- kr oveni regningen: 14,50 kr for hver af de små stk. rugbrød! Det har vi ligegodt aldrig oplevet andre steder! Hvor småligt. Er det virkelig politikken hos Café Valentin - eller var vi bare uheldige med den i Hillerød?

20/07/2025: We stopped in before visiting the nearby castle. We were impressed with the speed of the service and enjoyed the lunch offerings. I opted for the salmon and avocado salad while my husband went for the chicken salad smørrebrød. Both were tasty and we were able to enjoy a nice but quick lunch so we could spend our time in the castle. I highly recommend this option if you are visiting the castle.

26/07/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – without hesitation! We tried Thai takeaway from here for the very first time today – and wow, how pleasantly surprised we were! The food was really, really delicious – full of flavour, freshness and warm spices. Everything tasted authentic and homemade, as if it had been served in a small street kitchen in Thailand. You could tell that love had been put into the dishes – nothing mass-produced or boring here. We had several different dishes, and every bite was a pleasure. The portions were good, and it all came nicely wrapped in a large paper bag. This won’t be the last time we order from here – we’ve already decided what to try next time! Highly recommended to anyone who loves authentic Thai food. 🙏🍜🌶️

01/09/2025: Huge disappointment. Was here with good friends for a lovely evening out. Mediocre food which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. In general the food lacked salt/seasoning. The main course which was chicken was served cold and for one of us raw (!). We were given a new serving which was warmer (and not raw) were offered an extra glass of wine and they apologized. We will not be back.

23/08/2025: Very good and innovative food. We liked the watercress icecream that accompanies the fish course very much, as well as the caviar with icecream. They also have an excellent selection of cheese, especially their Danish drunken dog cheese, it’s the best blue cheese I’ve had (speaking as someone without any predisposition towards blue cheese in the first place!). Also nice wine, their crémant d’Alsace is definitely worth trying, for its outstanding quality.

24/08/2025: Just held a birthday party at the café with a brunch buffet for 16 people. Really good food and very varied. The staff was service-minded and smiling. So it was a good experience.

03/08/2025: Bad and expensive open sandwiches. A dish from the 80s... and possibly made in the same decade as dry as it was.

08/09/2025: Cozy place with a large selection of high-end fast food. Had the pork roast sandwich today which was really good.

31/08/2025: You won't get a Noma burger here, but it hits the spot. The atmosphere and service are epic. You just HAVE to stop by.

16/08/2025: Very good food and nice workers

09/08/2025: Take out a whole chicken for dinner, but it turns out to be a disgusting dinner for the family. The chicken is still bloody and tastes so bad that my kids don’t like it. We paid 110 kr. Not worth the money.
