29/09/2026: It is quite surprising that a takeaway located right next to a major tourist attraction, and therefore serving an international clientele, does not accept credit cards in this day and age. Instead, customers are referred to MobilePay, despite the fact that this is primarily a local payment method and therefore not a realistic option for most international tourists. More importantly, this limitation is not clearly communicated in advance, either verbally or through visible signage. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that the owner did not want us to pay when placing the order. Had payment been requested upfront, the issue would have become apparent immediately and we could simply have cancelled the order before the food was prepared. For these reasons, I would not recommend this place to international visitors unless they are carrying sufficient cash in Danish kroner. Given the location, there are certainly other dining options in the area offering both good food and a more tourist-friendly payment experience.

16/12/2025: My wife and I visited the place towards Christmas. It was busy and there were many guests, but we still got fast, friendly and service-minded service. We ordered 2 lovely pieces of open sandwiches each. Fish fillet: Well fried, good breading.... the remoulade a little too coarse but tasted excellent. Pork roast: Good juicy and with all the right accessories. My wife chose risalamande for dessert, and unfortunately it was a sad affair. Far too few almonds and the cherry sauce was cold! Choose another dessert and have a good experience.

18/09/2025: We were the whole family at Jensen's Steakhouse, and ordered a little bit different. In general, the food was excellent for the price, however, we ordered two Jensen's special steaks and they tasted completely different, one didn't taste particularly good, the other was fine. The burger was excellent. The fries have a strange spice mix on them that 50% of the table didn't like. The salad bar was quite nice. However, I will say that our visit was a bit ruined by the fact that they are infested with fruit flies in both the salad bar and at the table. I had to stop drinking my soda halfway through because there were fruit flies in it. The food itself is what you pay for, 1600kr for the whole family, and exactly the same at Bones costs about 2200kr. Unfortunately, we choose not to come again, but I can understand families pressed for money choosing Jensen's Steakhouse.

05/05/2026: Super annoying, but the place has dropped incredibly in quality over the past year - at least on our orders. About a year ago, your order was pampered, and there was diligent decoration (even to the lavish side). There was a clear difference in that the food was more gourmet and delicious than the other standard menus. Overall, we got the impression that there were delicious ingredients and everything was just perfect compared to what we have otherwise had in the area - and we were often pleasantly surprised by the "chef's choice". If we order today, we unfortunately get what looks like standard menus, even though we pay for "gourmet" sushi. Totally ordinary boring ebi rolls, where the dough around the shrimp is so boring and cold that it feels like something made the day before. You really get some boring rolls and there is not the slightest care for the food or the presentation - you might get a few extra spoonfuls of the boring roe. The nigiri has also become a bit boring and not as varied as before. Super sad, because it was our favorite place in town despite the fact that the price was a bit high. It's still delicious food and if you order the specific things on the menu, they are still fine. However, the menus have been cut so much that they shouldn't exist. We have come to the point where we would rather save the few hundred kroner and take a chance at the other places in town.

15/08/2026: Okay, this may seem silly to write this in a review, but they are marketing a cheap imitation on their menu as Nutella. You pay for the expensive product but are served a cheap imitation. They even charge you separately for it. Not only is this illegal as it is misleading marketing and under trademark protection, but it can also be downright dangerous as different brands have different contents. The waiter was really nice though.

14/08/2026: Pretty good ice cream - nothing special. Been there three times this summer with the family (most recently yesterday), but that's mostly because of the cozy location. EVERY time something is missing or broken, so you can't get what you want. Also, the young girls working generally seem like they'd much rather be somewhere else. Slow and very unengaged service.

25/07/2026: It costs 770 DKK per shelter per night. A bit too expensive for a primitive accommodation. We chose another place

26/05/2026: Great place to celebrate a special birthday. We were there about 25 people with great food, a fantastic view and incredibly helpful staff who always had a positive attitude. The prices are also very reasonable.

09/08/2026: Hillerød paradise is simply the best place to eat ice cream and take a walk in SlotsArkaderne at the same time.

08/08/2026: Really boring taste in the ice cream, a mouthful that tastes like whipped cream... you also have to pay extra for a small dollop of whipped cream with jam. Without it being stated anywhere, it usually comes with the ice cream, at least it should at that price!

27/06/2026: Join us as a guest - on the hottest day of the year! We couldn't reschedule. Very nice instructors, but it was about 50° degrees in there. It wasn't worth staying for a whole hour. If you make an appointment here, either prepare for extreme heat, or choose a cold day - then you might end up with normal temperatures! Practice practice practice!

26/08/2026: My favorite bakery in town. In addition to the freshly baked bread and cakes, the house has a small cafe with their quality products and good coffee at a reasonable price. Also good sandwiches at a reasonable price.

07/07/2026: The absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. We ordered several pizzas and when we got home we discovered that one of them was made incorrectly. Mistakes can happen, what matters is how you handle them. The customer service here was downright shocking. When I called to report the mistake, I was met by an extremely rude owner who interrupted me several times. He reluctantly offered a free pizza “next time”, but when I instead asked for a refund for the pizza they had made incorrectly, he simply hung up the phone. So I drove back to the restaurant, where the owners were arguing loudly with each other and another customer. Unfortunately, that says a lot about the way the place is run. When I explained the problem, they initially denied that the pizza was wrong, even though the mistake was obvious. They tried to argue their way out of it instead of just taking responsibility. After a long and unnecessary discussion, they reluctantly offered to make a new pizza, but when I insisted that I wanted my money back, the owner threw a 100-krone bill at me without so much as an “sorry”. I have never experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional treatment as a customer. The pizzas are also very mediocre and definitely not worth returning for. There are plenty of good pizza places that value their customers. This is not one of them. I will never go back and cannot recommend the place in any way.

19/10/2025: I was inside the place itself and first ordered my food there, said WITHOUT TOMATO because I can't stand that, now I'm home and my food is full of tomato.... Now I have to throw it all out....

21/06/2026: Really delicious food! Here you can eat delicious and tasty food for little money. We got away with 398 kr for 2 people. 2 times buffet and 2 between sodas.

29/05/2026: “Under all criticism” does not cover this experience at all. This was amateur class disguised as restaurant management. We physically show up 4 hours before pick-up and make one simple change: swap shrimp nigiri for tuna nigiri. It is confirmed face to face, we pay in advance, and everything should work out. Just to be on the safe side, I call about an hour before pick-up to confirm the order and that the change is in order. When we are about to pick up the order and ask about the change, you can immediately see the panic spreading. The clerk turns around, there is a murmur with a colleague, and they literally start rummaging around in the package in front of them. The result? No tuna nigiri. Not even close. They had decided that all nigiri should be salmon. It almost takes talent to get it so consistently wrong after several reminders and four hours of preparation. When we point out the mistake, we are met with the most lame standard response possible: “You can get some extra next time.” Next time? After that? It's like driving into someone and offering free windshield washer fluid at the next service. The only thing they had in mind was taking payment in advance. The rest was a breeze. If you can't handle a single change to a sushi order with hours' notice and two confirmations, maybe you should start mastering post-its before takeout.

20/08/2026: Worst pad thai I've ever had. It was fucking disgusting. And the woman who worked there couldn't speak Danish or English, and it was way too expensive. I'm never going back. It's disgusting. It's situations like this that make me wish I could give less than 1 star🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤢

25/07/2026: We ordered 3 different dishes for delivery today. We made certain to order dishes without bell peppers as I am allergic to them and my husband doesn't like them. All three dishes were delivered and all contained bell peppers. When I contacted the restaurant and asked why they had added bell peppers, they said "because you wanted tofu". This made no sense, and after asking 6 times in different ways, explaining that tofu is a protein, and bell peppers are not, and that they cannot just add what ever they want, I was simply told to contact them again when the boss returns from holiday. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. we will never use this restaurant again.
