03/11/2024: Small bakery with vegan and gluten free products: only those with the writing in red are gluten free. I tried the typical cinnamon roll, really very good, an almond paste biscuit and two other sweets... it is still worth a stop especially if you are celiac and want to taste some sweetness (which unfortunately cannot be found elsewhere) A clarification must be made regarding contamination: gluten-free products are displayed among others, so let's say that gluten-free products are not completely safe! It's a small shop, so you don't eat on site, but there's the Torvehallerne market nearby where you can get coffee and sit.

23/10/2024: Nice experience with all pasta parts ( 3 dishes as main) nice flavors and good sauce technique. Service was nice too. The only 2 down sides were 1- sitting on high chairs & table. 1- the noise coming from washing the dishes ( room is very small with open kitchen so basically we assist to all actions.

16/10/2024: I was going to have an early breakfast with a friend at this place. To our huge disappointment the place was closed at 8.36 on Wednesday morning. The website says it is opened from 8.30, the sign on the door states that it is opened at 8.00. Google maps probably know better saying that it starts at 9.00. So what is it? Anyway, not recommended if you need an early breakfast with tight schedule.

21/10/2024: Very good pizzas, excellent quality-price and the man who served us was very pleasant and attentive. Possibility of sitting outside or inside the premises. Pizzas for 125-135 Danish crowns. Recommended.

22/10/2024: Un bel caffè/ristorantino per un pranzo veloce in centro a Copenaghen. Il locale è molto bello e ben curato. Hanno i seggioloni per i bambini. Si mangiano ottimi piatti di carne, sandwich, panini e insalate. Ci sono opzioni vegetariane. Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che passano dal centro e vogliono fare una sosta.

17/10/2024: Very charming decoration, I love all the small pieces they created,hooks from fork and spoon. We tried mamma Mia lasagna and grilled chicken salad, lasagna was delicious and salad was so rich and very delightful. Server and kitchen were so fast , Didem was so friendly she guided us and thankfully we tried the lasagna!

Combos delicados, inusuales, bacalao sublime, mejor remolacha, etc. La joven camarera era encantadora y explicó todo (pero me olvidé ya que soy codiciosa). Reserva con Vaekst si puedes. Un gran placer.

26/10/2024: Me sorprendió lo mal que este restaurante recibió las calificaciones. Cuando entramos, esperamos durante 5 minutos antes de que alguien llegara a saludarnos. Aunque le dimos instrucciones explícitas relacionadas con el filete a mi hija debido a sus alergias, ignoraron todo. Entiendo que los errores ocurren así que estuvo bien ya que le trajeron un filete nuevo. Si bien corrigieron el problema para mi hija, fue un desafío cuesta arriba. La persona que trajo la comida no parecía entender que habíamos explicado las alergias de antemano. Este patrón se repitió durante toda la noche. Al final del día, la comida era promedio y el servicio era horrible. Esta fue la noche tres para nosotros y nos encantó cualquier otra experiencia que tuvimos en la ciudad. Éste fue horrible. No recomendaría este lugar y nunca volvería.

12/11/2024: It was a very unique experience, and my first exposure to ultra fine dining both in general and in Copenhagen. It's best to go in with no preconceived notions and really lean into the theater and spectacle of it all. It's a dinner like none other and a singular dining memory for sure. The presentation and scope of the impressions was very maximalist, which some of my party felt was somewhat unfocused and not quite cohesive, but I think it was appropriate for the overall feeling and encounter. Pairing generally was quite good with the dishes, and every one was very enjoyable. That being said, there were several dishes that triggered my allergies, most likely dairy protein, and by the end of the night my lips had swelled almost comically, and my throat was really uncomfortable. The staff assured me that every precaution had been undertaken, and they were very apologetic about it, but said there was absolutely no chance of contamination. I took another allergen blood test afterward which confirmed that all of my allergies were still identical to what I knew (and which I had informed the kitchen beforehand). As a result, I unfortunately just cannot give it a full rating. I also had the wonderful opportunity to dine at Jatak, Alouette, Kadeau, and miscellaneous other restaurants while in Copenhagen, and this was the only place at which I experienced multiple serious allergic reactions. The other restaurants also did substitutions, e.g. non-dairy chocolate, but I didn't have any allergic reactions whatsoever at the other establishments. My only conclusion is that there must be some level of contamination, there is mislabeling by a supplier, or there is a misunderstanding (it was unclear but it seemed like there might have been misinterpretation of milk protein allergy vs lactose-free). Unfortunately, there was also no responsibility taken at the location nor after I sent a follow-up email, which was disappointing; I understand the trust in the kitchen, but as a diner the experience left me seriously uncomfortable for several days and a bit traumatized on fine dining (thankfully by the end of my trip my faith had been restored). I'm not a confrontational person, so it pained me even to bring anything up. It was genuinely shocking to me as by far the most I'd ever spent on a meal (I'd been saving up all year for this trip), just to leave with a swollen mouth/throat that really marred my memory. Just thought I'd share for anybody else with significant allergies, I debated writing anything for a while but thought I'd be remiss not to say something.

29/10/2024: Very elegant restaurant where you can taste the famous typical Swedish tarts. Price a little above the norm but you certainly pay for the location too. Good food and kind and polite waitresses.

28/10/2024: The plan was Sunday lunch with smørrebrød and Told og Snaps seemed like a good bet. On their website, they promise classic smørrebrød with fresh, high-quality ingredients, so we were looking forward to a good lunch. We were two people and ordered a total of four pieces of smørrebrød: two with fish fillet with mayonnaise and prawns, one with chicken salad and one with tartare. The fish fillets were not particularly large, but there were two on each meal, they were ok, crispy and acceptable in taste. The mayonnaise, on the other hand, was an anonymous, slightly sluggish affair that settled on the palate and felt tired. It was possibly the same kind of mayonnaise that was used for the chicken salad - it didn't taste like much, was rather greasy and made the whole piece of food a bit of an unpleasant experience. The tartar didn't hurt anyone, but it drowned a little in the large quantities of chopped leeks, capers, beetroot and horseradish that were sprinkled over (when it was served, the tartar itself was not really visible) and for all the pieces it was the piece of rye bread they were served on was relatively small, albeit unremarkable, perhaps even home-baked. Two pieces of smørrebrød per person was not enough (that is normal) and we supplemented with the apple cake for dessert. It cost DKK 99 per person and it was simply not worth it. It was served in a bowl with a layer of each ingredient: macaroons at the bottom, applesauce on top and vanilla whipped cream on top. That constellation was unfortunate in several ways: It was not an applesauce, but rather a puree, without any structure and without much flavor. Underneath it, as I said, were the macaroons/grates. On the one hand, there wasn't very much macaron/grating (i.e. where there could have been some 'bite') and on the other hand, the complete coverage with applesauce meant that it was not particularly crispy. The portion was not huge in size, but relatively huge in price - for almost a hundred kroner we simply expected more - both in taste, consistency and quantity. All in all, it was an expensive deal with something lacking in terms of taste, structure and quantity. For four pieces of smørrebrød, two portions of apple cake and water for two people, we ended up paying more than 900 kroner.

27/09/2024: Spent a long weekend in Copenhagen and had coffee here every morning! The viet iced coffee is fantastic and the banh mi was some of the best I’ve ever had. The owner is a super personable guy and we had great conversation every day. I definitely recommend anyone in the area give it a visit.
