I had made a mistake about the opening time, but they were so accommodating to open earlier for us, an incredibly sweet and thoughtful gesture. Also, the offer of the day with cake and filter coffee is extremely affordable and perfect if you want something sweet with your coffee. I upgraded to a chai latte, which of course costs more

15/05/2026: A rather disappointing experience unfortunately. We had to wait 20 minutes for our food after it was said it was ready, and we ordered a spicy signature menu - but the butter chicken we got was definitely not spicy and was significantly colder than the dal tadka we otherwise got. Our naan was also cold. The amount of food is good, but it's just a shame when it lacks flavor or is already cold when you receive it.

25/03/2026: Visit Chellos and order their Italian sandwiches baked in fluffy pizza dough. I'm personally a huge fan of their spicy ventricana, and the accompanying arugula, pickled red onion and truffle mayo. Price-wise, a huge steal. However, it must be said that the meat to bread ratio is a bit on the low side.

27/02/2026: A bad experience. Maybe an unlucky day? The dishes seemed uninspired, the fish (which should probably be sitting in the cupboard at a fish restaurant) was overcooked, dry and almost chewy - the sauces were ok. Had expected more

17/01/2026: Absolutely amazing experience at Pihlkjær Restaurant! The menu of the day was 100% in the cupboard, and the employees provide the absolute best service with a smile and personality. Good guidance on wine selection and a nice option for consideration of allergens, when notified when booking. Definitely recommended - we will definitely return!

05/05/2026: Unusual to get dry rice and small pieces of salmon. Long wait for a la carte service. Inattentive staff. Usually 4-5 stars. Maybe just a fluke.

06/12/2025: I have rarely been so well received at a restaurant. Asger Langeskov in particular was incredibly empathetic and funny throughout the evening. We felt super safe and informed. The way he presented the food was absolutely exceptional! He definitely deserves some kind of pay raise! Thank you so much for a fantastic evening Asger and the rest of the restaurant 🙌😋 We will definitely be back when we come to Aarhus this summer.

07/04/2026: 5 stars because it was exactly as expected. 4 stars for food because it is the level you can hope for - 5 stars for service because there was no way to put a finger on it. Fun gimmick with the robot serving your Mongolian bbq. 5 stars for the atmosphere because it is quite nicely decorated according to the theme.

05/07/2026: Very delicious food, at a bit expensive prices, but also of high quality. We had carpaccio, pasta with shrimp, carbonara and tiramisu, everything was very delicious. Especially the carbonara tasted a lot like the one you get in Italy. The carpaccio portion is probably the smallest I've had in a restaurant and bread has to be purchased (30 kr.) Super cozy atmosphere, and you need a reservation to get a table. Friendly employees, who are busy and therefore difficult to get hold of/make eye contact with, but then we just went up to them. Overall, I would recommend the place 🤗

13/06/2026: The food was fine if if it was because it cost 80 kr. but it cost way too much and you could have sat down at any café and get the same taste of quality. And the expectations were higher because we spent a long time making the food. The conclusion was way too expensive.
