17/04/2025: Cozy, but lacks taste, and too expensive compared to what is served.

07/04/2025: Really mediocre food, totally unreasonable quality-price ratio. We tried the lobster hotdog, priced at more than 200dkk (more than 30 euro!!) expecting either a very interesting dish with good tasting lobster meat, or at least a big portion. They brought a tiny hot dog, the bread was brioche style like the ones you get at the supermarket and it tasted stale!! Then the amount of lobster meat was tiny and it didn't even taste that good! It was actually dry! Insanity and scam. By then we had already ordered the fish and chips. The tartar sauce and the mayo had a weird acidic taste to them. And the fish was just ok, but with a terrible soggy and oily breading, not crunchy at all. I have gotten better fish n chips at street food establishments for a quarter of the price. There are better places in Kolding to find good seafood and interesting menus.

17/05/2025: Staff is not professional. The staff should be changed. Or either they should provide proper professional skill training to their staff.

19/05/2025: We had to wait 65 minutes for our food. 30 minutes after ordering, one of our company was notified that his order was missing an item and only after another 35 minutes were we served. It was less than half full and there were only 4 of us

13/05/2025: Found a piece of glass (the size of a toothpick) in my coke. I turn to the staff and then the trouble starts. The two young waiters think I have to pay and that's when I ask for a manager and am told they can call him. They then come out and tell me that the manager has said that I have to pay. I want to talk to him in person, but you can't. You can't call him and they have actually only written to him. I say that I find the whole thing very unpleasant and that I am glad that my three-year-old son didn't drown on the glass and get it in his mouth. To this the young male waiter replies: "You don't die from a piece of glass like that and the burgers weren't wrong" I get a little harsh and annoyed here and ask how he is handling the situation. Both waiters go into the bar laughing and leave me alone for 20 minutes. I then go in because I want an ending, to which the male waiter says; “Yes, we are just waiting for you to leave so we can report you for theft.” I then say (as we are approaching the end of the day) that I will pay, but if I can ask for the broken glass. Then I have to send an email to the manager, as they have instructed me several times. To this the answer is; “we don’t have your glass anymore and we are not saying you are lying, but how do we know that it is not glass from your own pocket” Extremely bad service. Flabby and irresponsible young waiters and a manager you obviously can’t even talk to. On the other hand, children don’t die from getting their broken glass in their mouths, their food was cold and the tables were dirty and filled with full ashtrays.

19/02/2025: Absolutely recommendable cozy restaurant. Incredibly friendly service and really nice, well-prepared food served on warm plates. We can really recommend this place

15/02/2025: We were 4 people for a quick lunch on the way to Sønderborg. We all chose three pieces of smørrebrød. The three pieces were very suitable for the small hunger. Not overly decorated, but well prepared. For the meal we had a well-poured lager from a tap.

23/03/2025: The canned version of a vegetarian pizza. No fresh vegetables to be seen - other than the onions they put on even though I clearly said "Minus onions. They quickly made a new one for me without any problems, but the pizza was really boring. Peppers and mushrooms from a can or glass just don't taste fresh and delicious.

01/05/2025: At first had challenges getting coupons to work, was met by a friendly manager trainee who took the order at the till. Since it was take away, we only find out when we get back that the order does not match what we paid for and ordered.

09/05/2025: Warning to everyone who is considering becoming a volunteer at Cafe Paraplyen! This place is without a doubt the worst place to volunteer. A close family member has worked hard for you for a long time – taking shifts, turning up at short notice, being loyal and committed. And how is she thanked? By being slandered, ostracized and exposed to direct adult bullying from other volunteers. It's deeply personal and so disgusting it's hard to fathom😡🙄 Just because she has ADHD and dares to speak her mind and come up with ideas, she is made a scapegoat. No one bothered to take shifts with her, sleep in the same room on trips, or cooperate. She was labeled and isolated - all because you apparently cannot accommodate people who do not fit into your narrow "normal". The umbrella brags about spaciousness and openness, but it's a total joke. Your "inclusion" only applies as long as you don't deviate too much🤨 If you have a diagnosis or struggle mentally, you are obviously not welcome. I am honestly appalled at how low you can sink in your treatment of volunteers! The umbrella should be ashamed. I will never set foot in your cafe again - and can only warn others with diagnoses or vulnerabilities: Stay far away.

21/04/2025: A social cafe welcoming everyone. Kind of a charity focused as well, therefore the prices are very low. Good homemade foos and friendly atmosphere. Offering warm lunch on certain days of the week for 50 dkk only.

31/05/2025: Always in motion, by evening the TREE is packed ☝🏻⚠️ and for the packaging outside of it the whore hangs mustard plasters 🤯 Toilet 🚾 2.50 crowns.

29/05/2025: I always like to stop here. They make excellent hot dogs. Shower 25dk 8min. Always clean and tidy. I didn't find water anywhere. Parking 25h
