28/03/2026: Candidate for Denmark's best pub. Cheap prices, cozy atmosphere and karaoke on Thursdays. Has a few special shots, try the apple cake model for example. The courtyard is lovely in the summer, we bridge players can easily fill it on a good day. Brown pub, which means you can smoke indoors, which can easily be smelled when you get home.

25/08/2026: The most expensive and smallest shooting star in Svendborg. 225 kr. I said that I thought it was too little for that price. Afterwards I saw on the menu that there should have also been a boiled fish fillet on the bread. When I told the waitress, she asked in the kitchen if there had been. The answer was yes. I would have been able to see it if it had been there.? Last time I was there.

23/08/2026: Got a table outside on the terrace nicely covered when the sun is out ☀️ Great atmosphere, food perfect 👌 The 2 young waiters lack a bit of enthusiasm 😪 Got a shooting star which was the best I've had this summer 🙏 But super cozy 😇

10/08/2026: Thurø Stuen is more of a cozy, older-style pub than a classic restaurant. The value for money is excellent: the portions are very generous, and the food was consistently delicious – honest, traditional German cuisine at its best! The staff was consistently friendly, and everything was spotless. The menu is manageable (around three children's menus and six or seven main courses), which is perfectly adequate. Our only, but significant, criticism: upon entering, you immediately notice the smell of smoking. This is a real drawback if you're traveling with children. If you can overlook this, you'll get good, honest food for your money.

16/06/2026: Dear Gitte and Rasmus, Thank you so much for a wonderful day with you on Saturday - June 2026. It was an absolute pleasure to hold our annual family reunion at Skipperkroen. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The service was extremely discreet, friendly and efficient. The table setting was so nice and beautifully arranged. The four round tables made the conversations very good and everyone could feel comfortable. MANY THOUSANDS OF THANKS for making our day festive, enjoyable and where everyone felt comfortable. 10/08/2026: Bendixens Fiskehandel is definitely worth a visit. You can get most fish and good homemade fish salads. The prices are ok. Note that the store also has a smaller fish grill shop that is open when the store selling fish is closed. A portion of Fish and Chips costs around the price is approx. 100 kr. I myself use Bendixens Fiskehandel a lot when I want to serve lunch with a number of small fish dishes. Guests usually ask with interest where they can buy the tasty fish themselves(?) In Svendborg the answer is always - Fish is best bought at Bendixens Fiskehandel!

21/08/2026: Had a lovely main course, monkfish, which I have never had before. It was a good experience, but the portion was a bit small for the price. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard.

08/08/2026: The fish was cold and raw inside, and when it came the second time, the piece had been halved and the garnish was gone. The steak was also raw inside, and when it came the second time, they still couldn't get it medium done, and it wasn't tender. Very bad experience, will never come again.
