25/08/2026: We chose this restaurant mainly because of its excellent rating and its convenient location, as it was not far from our hotel — and it definitely lived up to its reputation! We started with the asparagus velouté with truffle oil, which was a wonderful surprise. It was incredibly flavorful! The duck confit was another lovely surprise. The meat was incredibly tender and the skin perfectly crispy. The side dish was simply a salad and was quite basic compared with the quality of the duck and didn’t add much to the dish, although it certainly wasn’t a major issue. We also tried the ribs, which were absolutely delicious: very tender, full of flavor, and not dry at all. The service was truly excellent. The all-female team was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They regularly checked on us to make sure everything was going well, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The food was well presented, the service was very good, and the restaurant definitely lived up to the high rating that initially brought us there. It was a very good choice, especially given its convenient location near our hotel.

25/08/2026: The food and service were excellent! We had the Tuna Tostadas, Cream of Asparagus soup (amazing), the steak with mushrooms, and the Creme Brûlée. All wonderful. The only minor complaint was that the Maple Old Fashioned was a little too sweet and the orange slices were dried, not fresh.

02/08/2026: Such a cozy little cafe and the food was amazing. So tasty. Wasn't sure I'd be able to eat all of it but it was so yummy I couldn't stop.

14/08/2026: Very nice; very good food: fresh white fish (= cod) with delicious vegetables and roasted potatoes, garnished with pea shoots (I love this herb...). As an "amuse-bouche," dark whole-grain crackers reminiscent of "Fincrisp," with a tasty dip. I thoroughly enjoyed being a guest there; the staff is incredibly friendly.

11/08/2026: Fantastic restaurent. Beef filet was excellent, and the French fries wasnkne if the best I have ever tried.

04/07/2025: Too dark - almost tripped at cloak room. Maybe can hire 1-2 more staff. Response time is slow. Water is DK20/person (studio x kitchen on Dronnigens provides 4 pitchers of water free). Food was ok.

21/08/2026: Cafe J — quite a big disappointment. Although the interior is beautiful, the service is good, the tables are clean, but… First of all, the drink order. If I order a Coke, it doesn’t mean that I will get 1/3 of the ice in a glass filled with Coke without notifying the waiter. Not even McDonald’s does these tricks anymore. The beer I ordered smelled very, very bad. I can’t tell if it was a glass or a draft beer. Horrible. 😟 Next — I ordered a sandwich with tuna mousse and a child’s portion of grilled chicken breast, fries, sauces. The sandwich was okay, except that the restaurant should clarify what is a spread and what is “mousse” (light whipped foam). The tuna spread was okay, but I was looking forward to the mousse, which I didn’t get. We got the child’s chicken breast burnt on both sides. Seriously? The chef should go back to washing the dishes for me. 😕 The waitress who brought burnt meat for the child to our table with a smile should also think about herself. 🫤 So no, I can't recommend this place. 👎🏻

16/08/2026: We're spending a few days at Legoland for my 5-year-old daughter's birthday and we stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious and plentiful! Thank you so much! 🫂

21/08/2026: Absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the 7-course menu with wine pairing, and it was great and included some surprises. The staff was great too. Would definitely recommend!

04/07/2026: Great food in a simple setting, with no formality, at a Michelin restaurant, which I love. The food is amazing and full of flavours. The price is in a good range for what you get. We ordered a 7-course menu with wine pairings, plus a snack and petit fours. The only downside is the Restaurant didn't have much ventilation, so in the summer months in Denmark this year, with temperatures of 35 degrees, it was really hot, which made it uncomfortable to sit inside with no ventilation. I would come again in winter, as I believe it won't be hot and the food is great, so I'm looking forward to it!!

01/06/2026: Restaurant Frederikshøj – must be among Denmark's absolute best restaurants. From the first step into the restaurant you are greeted by smiles, presence and an impressively high level of service. The renovation has been carried out with great taste, and both the service, wine menu and servings fully live up to the beautiful surroundings. For me, Frederikshøj is simply the best Michelin restaurant on this side of the Great Belt.

17/07/2026: Heard beforehand that this restaurant was excellent but my experience was nothing short of catastrophic. The staff asked me to switch table in the middle of the meal, the kitchen subsequently messed up our order, a catastrophic dinner. Asked to pay the bill before finishing the main course so I could leave. Ruined the date with my wife.

16/08/2026: Arrive early to slowly savor the lunch buffet (until 3 p.m.)—from herring in various ways to baked ham—and still have time for dessert (until 4 p.m.). Choose a clear day and you'll have a view of Ørebro and the entire bay.

25/06/2026: Herthadalen provided the most beautiful setting for our summer wedding. From planning to the execution of our wedding, we were in safe hands with the sweetest staff. I would not hesitate to hold other events here again.

11/08/2026: There were two of us, and we just wanted a quick coffee. We arrived at 9:30 and didn't get our coffee until 20 minutes later. We had to ask three times and ended up paying €15 for two cappuccinos. Very disappointing.

12/07/2026: My friends and I had lunch here yesterday, and we had a wonderful experience. This restaurant is very popular, so I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance since it gets very busy. Even with the large number of guests, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. They made us feel welcome and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The atmosphere was lively, and everything was well organized despite how busy it was. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant!
