25/08/2026: We chose this restaurant mainly because of its excellent rating and its convenient location, as it was not far from our hotel — and it definitely lived up to its reputation! We started with the asparagus velouté with truffle oil, which was a wonderful surprise. It was incredibly flavorful! The duck confit was another lovely surprise. The meat was incredibly tender and the skin perfectly crispy. The side dish was simply a salad and was quite basic compared with the quality of the duck and didn’t add much to the dish, although it certainly wasn’t a major issue. We also tried the ribs, which were absolutely delicious: very tender, full of flavor, and not dry at all. The service was truly excellent. The all-female team was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They regularly checked on us to make sure everything was going well, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. The food was well presented, the service was very good, and the restaurant definitely lived up to the high rating that initially brought us there. It was a very good choice, especially given its convenient location near our hotel.

25/08/2026: The food and service were excellent! We had the Tuna Tostadas, Cream of Asparagus soup (amazing), the steak with mushrooms, and the Creme Brûlée. All wonderful. The only minor complaint was that the Maple Old Fashioned was a little too sweet and the orange slices were dried, not fresh.

02/08/2026: Such a cozy little cafe and the food was amazing. So tasty. Wasn't sure I'd be able to eat all of it but it was so yummy I couldn't stop.

17/09/2026: We (2 adults, one child (one year old) plus dog) were at the restaurant today and were absolutely thrilled. First of all, the waiter was like something you'd find in a 5-star restaurant, giving us excellent advice and fulfilling every extra request. We had the carpaccio and two burgers, and I had one of the best beers I've ever had. The carpaccio was perfect in taste, and the side dishes were unique. You won't find better burgers anywhere in Denmark. Plus, the buns were gluten-free. The beer is (indeed) only available there, as it's the owner's own recipe. Highly recommended, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. We sat outside with the dog under the covered terrace. Our dog was given his own water bowl within seconds, without us even having to ask. Truly fantastic service and amazing food!

13/09/2026: We haven't eaten this well in a long time. The service was excellent and the food absolutely divine. We will come back on our next trip to Denmark!

04/07/2025: Too dark - almost tripped at cloak room. Maybe can hire 1-2 more staff. Response time is slow. Water is DK20/person (studio x kitchen on Dronnigens provides 4 pitchers of water free). Food was ok.

12/08/2026: After a 13km bike ride, we had lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Welcome by two friendly and smiling ladies, we ate very well. They recommended their local beers, which were truly excellent. The food was generous and the prices were average for Danish restaurants.

21/08/2026: Cafe J — quite a big disappointment. Although the interior is beautiful, the service is good, the tables are clean, but… First of all, the drink order. If I order a Coke, it doesn’t mean that I will get 1/3 of the ice in a glass filled with Coke without notifying the waiter. Not even McDonald’s does these tricks anymore. The beer I ordered smelled very, very bad. I can’t tell if it was a glass or a draft beer. Horrible. 😟 Next — I ordered a sandwich with tuna mousse and a child’s portion of grilled chicken breast, fries, sauces. The sandwich was okay, except that the restaurant should clarify what is a spread and what is “mousse” (light whipped foam). The tuna spread was okay, but I was looking forward to the mousse, which I didn’t get. We got the child’s chicken breast burnt on both sides. Seriously? The chef should go back to washing the dishes for me. 😕 The waitress who brought burnt meat for the child to our table with a smile should also think about herself. 🫤 So no, I can't recommend this place. 👎🏻

16/08/2026: We're spending a few days at Legoland for my 5-year-old daughter's birthday and we stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious and plentiful! Thank you so much! 🫂

22/09/2026: The food and service were top notch. Personally, I love the idea of ​​choosing my own dishes from the 8 on the menu. Even though choosing is always a bit difficult! If I had to highlight one dish, it would have to be the Pork which was exceptionally well-cooked and tasted heavenly… however, the wine served with it 🍷 was too special for my taste buds… but that didn’t ruin the experience in any way!

16/08/2026: Arrive early to slowly savor the lunch buffet (until 3 p.m.)—from herring in various ways to baked ham—and still have time for dessert (until 4 p.m.). Choose a clear day and you'll have a view of Ørebro and the entire bay.

01/06/2026: Restaurant Frederikshøj – must be among Denmark's absolute best restaurants. From the first step into the restaurant you are greeted by smiles, presence and an impressively high level of service. The renovation has been carried out with great taste, and both the service, wine menu and servings fully live up to the beautiful surroundings. For me, Frederikshøj is simply the best Michelin restaurant on this side of the Great Belt.
