24/11/2025: Super cozy place! The food was really good, and some good portions!

22/11/2025: There were 9 of us for lunch, ordered different dishes and everyone was super satisfied with the quality of the food, the service and the price. Will definitely come back.

28/03/2026: We were completely forgotten in the middle of the party. We waited an hour and 15 minutes from when we finished the main course until we got the dessert. In addition, there was a lot of noise in the restaurant.

08/03/2026: I have been visiting Slap Af a lot of times, most often with great pleasure, finding the food delicious, and much better than what could be expected at the reasonable price. In the last year or two, however, we have also experienced less attentive service and servings of lesser quality. It is not so much a decline, rather varied qualitym, depending of who has tghe watch the perticular day.

16/05/2026: Great experience. We needed a place to eat near Horsens on a Friday evening in May, the day turned out to be windy and rainy. Amalielund Mad delivered the goods well. Delicious food in reasonable quantities, served with a friendly smile, beautiful view of the landscape, polite staff, who were also wonderfully service-minded and good at guiding a couple of tourists to reach our destination in an easy way. Would happily return there again 🙂

06/07/2026: I remember Pingvin as a really good place to eat from when it was in the city center. Unfortunately, it seems that the place has lost some of its charm after moving to Stjernepladsen. The food was quite good, but the next day I had difficulty remembering the menu or any special taste experiences. It simply did not make a noticeable impression. Unfortunately, the decor also detracted from the experience. Both the chairs, tables and the general atmosphere reminded me of an older, slightly run-down pizzeria in the province. I can't remember exactly what the decor was like in the old premises, but my friend and I both immediately noticed the lack of quality in the furnishings and the somewhat sad decor. Our waiter naturally asked if we wanted coffee or dessert after the meal. But after almost two hours on the chairs, my lower back was so sore that I didn't want to sit a minute longer than necessary - not even if the coffee had been free. Overall, the visit was okay, but the experience unfortunately did not live up to the positive memories I had from Pingvin's previous location. 3 tiny stars will do, but 2 stars wouldn't be quite right either.

13/06/2026: Well prepared food, very tasty. Got the tapas Quick Menu. Note that there is an extra charge for water and butter.

12/03/2026: We visited Fauna on March 5th. We will not repeat that. The starter was mushrooms on toast. The bread was soggy and the mushrooms were full of sand. We had guinea fowl with side dishes. The chicken was not cooked at all. Not edible. A really bad experience that should not be repeated. Our table was booked for Kurt Svendsen. Yours sincerely, as a guest Jette lundsgaard

03/03/2026: Magical experience with my lovely wife @holmtinna We were on a Valentine's date and had dinner at Restaureat Fauna, located at the harbor front in Aalborg. Super delicious food and service. Thanks for the food ❤️

07/07/2026: Google didn't fail me this time! I was driving through the area and looking for a place to have lunch. It was so good, I'll drive the hour it takes to get there to go back and try dinner sometime. Members of our party had a chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets and a poke-style bowl with chicken and veg. All the great, even the ice creams we got after. Edit some years later: I've been back twice and unfortunately it's not as good as it was that first time.

04/07/2026: It's probably a messy place and damn expensive I won't go there anymore 35kr for a waffle and if you want Guf it's 10kr extra

17/06/2026: Ordered 4 oysters, got 3 normal + 1 that looked like something that was undercooked. Ordered rib eye steak medium rare and got something that looked like a pink/light gray bath sponge that tasted like soap. Nice restaurant otherwise and nice service.

09/06/2026: Bad Service. We went there with our daughter but were not recognized outside and had to order, pay and do everything else without the help of the waitress.

25/06/2026: Ordered Young Rooster Breast, and got 2 chicken/young rooster and rice for the tidy sum of 275 kr, probably a bit on the high side, unfortunately I don't have any pictures,

24/06/2026: Stopped by on Saturday for a meal after a motorcycle ride. Great food and a fantastic young waiter with the customer in mind. Thanks for a fantastic experience. Will be back.

19/02/2026: Plus for a central location, minus for size and it's usually crowded. Good for casual meeting with friends, not necessarily for a great ice skating experience.

19/02/2026: The ice skate rink is good and have a nice view but my experience was terrible. The person who was behind the counter was extremely rude with my wife and my daughter in two distinct ocasions but to speak with me, he became chilled and calm. I'm not sure if the guy was high on coke, hangover or if he is just rude like that with womans. After i tell him off, he disappeared and another man came to "replace" him and looked "very surprised" when I told him about what happened with his colleague.

18/07/2026: Good tacos, def will be back for these. I expected quesadillas to be made out of corn flour but seems it is plain flour?

25/06/2026: I visited the place when it was brand new, hoping to find a new go-to place to eat in my neighborhood. I didn't know much about Mexican food beforehand, and the employee who greeted me didn't like it. She was extremely snide and condescending, and made it clear to me that it was certainly not her job to say a few words about what they had on the menu. All in all, the perfect way to ensure that I never came back, and that I have since advised others not to visit the place. Not a very strong strategy if you want to attract the local community. Of course, it could be that aggressive rudeness is an authentic part of Mexican food culture - I just really don't think so.

12/10/2025: Even in October, yesterday, Saturday, was well worth a visit!! We sat outside in the sun and ate a delicious hot dog 👌😀 and drank a beer. The owner was very friendly. Thank you!!

07/10/2025: Unfortunately, it was the only thing available that was open. Just fast food and deep-fried food. Then the whole order got mixed up. Okay, that's human and can happen anywhere. But please, buy some greens!
