11/04/2026: The place was open for a private party and the rest of the restaurant didn't open until 4pm, we were there at 2pm and were initially turned away, the waiter asked if we wanted to sit on the covered terrace if he turned on the gas heaters, we said ok and they opened for us so we could have lunch. 👍 From here good style and service So we didn't drive in vain

18/04/2026: We were quite impressed to discover that a bottle of tap water for four people costs 240 DKK—more than some beverages. If this is standard practice when guests don’t order alcohol, it would be helpful to indicate it on the menu. Not everyone chooses to drink alcohol in the morning, and the surprise made the experience less enjoyable.

07/09/2025: They have a small menu with local dishes. We had very tasty crispy fried plaice. Unfortunately, there are only a few tables outside, and they fill up very quickly. Friendly service.

30/08/2025: A cozy and elegantly furnished restaurant where you immediately feel comfortable. Very attentive and likeable waitress and waiter. Great food, very fresh and exquisite. We’ve had three different main courses and were all very satisfied. A must go when you are in this part of Denmark. We’ll be back! Thank you for the nice evening!

29/03/2026: Was there for Sunday brunch. We arrived half an hour before the buffet closed but there was still fresh food. Not a buffet with many dishes but on the other hand of good quality and both tasty and appetizing. Hygiene is high and service good by nice young people.

11/05/2026: Ok hotel. However, there are some very fundamental things that the hotel could learn from the ESS group spa hotels in Sweden. After visiting several of these in Sweden, this hotel just doesn't live up to the standards in the same way Totally unheard of that there is no water/sparkling water, fruit, coffee and tea available for free. This is the case at all spa hotels from the ESS group we have previously visited in Sweden. A little too much noise in the different rooms, it doesn't feel like you have relaxed in the same way as when visiting other spa hotels. A little boring a la carte menu and expensive prices, two cups of coffee 122 kroner, that's just over the top. The room was fine, but sad to look out onto the parking lot, but then again you have to pay for that as it is everywhere. The staff were nice, nothing to complain about there. Next visit will probably be back in Sweden for their spa hotels. 3 stars this time 🙏

05/04/2026: I wouldn't go back, we went because there weren't many places open and the prices were pretty good. Pretty pitiful service, they take a lot of the customer. We ordered a mix of fries that said on the menu that they were 15, they gave us less... The food could be improved a lot, we would probably look for other options.

31/01/2026: A good local bar. Beer selection is varied. It's atmospheric, but the average age of patrons is ~45+ :). Perfect for enjoying a delicious, fresh beer in a relaxed atmosphere.

07/04/2026: Very nice location in Hornbæk - close to the water and beach. The breakfast is quite basic and limited. Unfortunately, Cappuccino and other drinks cost extra and they do not prepare fresh egg dishes.

25/03/2026: Got a deal on Gourmetophold, and chose an extra day. Got a nice room with plenty of space. The bed was nice. The bathroom was missing a few hooks, in our opinion. Gourmet dinner with wine menu was very delicious. All five courses were beautifully prepared and the accompanying wines as well. The service was just perfect. The breakfast was beautifully prepared, and plenty of homemade bread, freshly made waffles and more. We were very full. Hope to have the opportunity to visit Hotel Bretagne again.

21/12/2025: Excellent place.. nice swimming pool, Sauna, cold punch, jacuzzi.. all good!

14/12/2025: Opposite of train station, but further nothing to do nor any bar or restaurant (beside a good but small grill store) in the neighborhood on waking distance. Hotel comes with wellness and conference facilities. Rooms without complementary water. Hotel restaurant pretence to offer fancy food; at least it is pricy. But very good breakfast buffet.

16/10/2025: Super cozy little place on the harbor. I had a delicious salmon sandwich and it was enough to fill me up. A nice place to sit and look out over the water.
