08/04/2026: Unreconstructed brown pub/brunt værtshus. Smoky, and in its own way beautiful, almost unreal in this day and age. Regulars chat, newspapers are rustled, cheap beer is sipped. 29kr for Tuborg classic. Card accepted now. Even if you don't like the smoke or the style you have to respect there is space for a pub of this kind in society. I'm glad it's here

10/05/2026: Afternoon tea was a thin cup of tea, good cakes, we had to pay extra for water.

07/04/2026: Very nice location in Hornbæk - close to the water and beach. The breakfast is quite basic and limited. Unfortunately, Cappuccino and other drinks cost extra and they do not prepare fresh egg dishes.

11/07/2026: Professionalism Is What Happens When Things Almost Go Wrong People often judge hotels by what happens when everything goes according to plan. I don’t. I judge them by what happens when they think something has gone wrong. Some time ago, mu wife and I were enjoying the seven-course tasting menu when, after the third course, I jokingly remarked that it had been a rather small piece of meat. A few moments later the waiter asked whether everything was alright. My wife smiled and said everything tasted wonderful, but that I might have been hoping for a little more meat. The waiter quietly nodded and disappeared. A couple of minutes later he returned with the head waiter. Suddenly our table became the centre of a perfectly choreographed operation. Plates disappeared. New plates arrived. Steak knives appeared from nowhere. The table was reset with almost military precision. It was obvious they were preparing to serve me a complimentary beef tenderloin. I was genuinely impressed. Then reality caught up with all of us. We hadn’t even reached the main course yet. The “small piece of meat” had simply been course number three. The actual main course—a magnificent quail—was still on its way. We all laughed, the table was restored, and dinner continued as if nothing had happened. But here’s the thing. I’ve spent much of my career working with large organisations and complex projects. What impressed me wasn’t the misunderstanding. It was the response. Nobody argued. Nobody tried to explain why I was wrong. Nobody waited for a manager’s approval. Their instinct was simply: “A guest might leave disappointed. Let’s fix it immediately.” You cannot fake that. That isn’t good service. That’s culture. The food was outstanding. The setting is beautiful. But the professionalism of the team is what I still remember. That’s rare.

09/06/2026: Was at a conference with overnight stay. Beautiful hotel with an atmosphere of the "old" days with nice decor. Service was faultless and the room was nice and clean. There are also good parking options close to the hotel at a reasonable price. Or free a few minutes walk away.

17/08/2026: Very friendly staff. The sushi is freshly prepared after ordering. It tasted delicious. Highly recommended!

31/07/2026: A must-visit if you're in Helsingør! Miss Coffee offers a warm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a delicious break. The bagels are a real treat: fresh, generously filled, and bursting with flavor—you can tell the ingredients are high-quality and prepared with care. The coffee is excellent, perfectly roasted, and pairs wonderfully with the homemade pastries. The staff is welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. An ideal place to recharge before or after a visit to nearby Kronborg Castle. Highly recommended!

14/08/2026: What delicious burgers!!! The fries tasted really good too. We have declared ourselves the hamburger judging team, and these burgers score extremely high on the European list. It's a shame the restaurant is a small shack right next to the railway, but oh well... That didn't make the food any less tasty.

15/08/2026: While Axelhus is no longer the iconic dive bar it once was this sister bar at least offers some better beer alternatives. To Øl on tap, and in the fridge, alongside Brew York. Fed up with fizzy industrial lager? Well then this is the place for you.

04/08/2026: Best service staff, nice girl from Gothenburg. The food was as good as ever. Smørrebrød with egg and shrimp was tasty and good. Breaded fish with fries was highly recommended!

30/08/2026: the cardamom bun was good, but not the best I've had. the lemon tart was delicious though, and the bread roll was superb.

15/08/2026: Have been really happy to come there but now it's over. Boring rye bread and snorting, cured sausage chewy so it wasn't appetizing. No compote with jam under skyr. The coffee lacked coffee flavor and was almost cold, got a new cup when it was pointed out, but it didn't give any heart palpitations in terms of taste. The staff are really nice and that was the biggest plus, and gave them two stars.

We felt very comfortable, stayed for a long time, and tried lots of different food 😊 The burgers and pancakes were the best, as was the bar with its very friendly staff 😊 The restrooms were very clean! The owner always wiped down the tables and picked up trash from the floor. Very thoughtful 👍

16/08/2026: Outdoor food market which is of course only open in the summer Small stalls with different kinds of food, including fish and chips, hamburgers, sandwiches and pancakes with different kinds of fillings. Then the fact that the beach is on the other side of the road is really hygge 😁

10/08/2026: Really good place with live music on Friday and Saturday. Relaxed atmosphere! Will definitely come back.
