22/12/2025: Cozy atmosphere, but wait time and mixed food Visited Hansens Café in Hornbæk for a classic lunch. Here is my honest experience: The good: * The atmosphere: It is incredibly cozy with the open fireplace, which really creates an authentic and warm atmosphere - perfect for a cold day. * The staff: The service was really sweet, smiling and very friendly. You feel welcome from the start. The less good: * The wait: Unfortunately, it took quite a long time for the food to land on the table. You shouldn't be too hungry when you sit down. * The food: It was very traditional, which is fine, but the quality itself was a mixed pleasure. Some elements played, while others felt a bit mediocre. Conclusion: A nice place if you prioritize coziness and good service, but the kitchen lacks that last bit to reach the top. Come here for the fireplace and the good vibe, but bring your patience from home.

16/12/2025: Ate fried pork with parsley sauce (persillesmovs) The fried pork was completely crunchy dry but the rest was delicious. Can't recommend.

27/07/2025: Stay away! I got their Club sandwich, and it was by far the worst sandwich I've ever had. It tasted like nothing. The chicken was tasteless, the avocado was unripe, the tomato was grainy, watery and tasteless, the pesto was tasteless, and the so-called pickled red onions were large, almost raw pieces. Oh my. They also don't have soda, only water and NODA (fruit-flavored Danish water).

19/12/2025: Have been here several times now - including for a Christmas lunch with the company (8-10 people) and for a regular lunch with business associates... Always lovely, well-prepared food and good service. The toilets may be a bit small, but it is also an older building with lots of coziness.

18/12/2025: Super cozy and delicious jazz cafe, however parts of the cafe seem very messy, and other parts almost completely sterile

24/08/2025: We had the absolute best experience at Restaurant 1861! 🌟 The food was absolutely top notch – we have never had such good food before, and every dish was just right. The service was welcoming and professional, and the pace of the menu was perfectly coordinated, so we could enjoy the whole experience without having to wait too long. A special compliment must go to the manager, Mikkel Munte, who really does an excellent job. You can clearly feel his commitment and passion in both the atmosphere and the quality. We can only give our warmest recommendations – we will definitely be back! 🍷✨

02/08/2025: Cozy courtyard restaurant in central Helsingör. They served plaice, but charged for Wienerschnitzel.
