14/07/2026: All in all, a fantastic experience in the best cafe atmosphere. Super cozy atmosphere and almost like visiting grandparents. The home-cured salmon on toast was a real eye-catcher. And the addition of a (maybe two) cold lines of akvavit certainly didn't make it any worse.

19/07/2026: Very charming café located in a converted greenhouse with an attached second-hand shop. It was a good temperature when we were there in the summer but when the sun came out it was a bit warm inside, however you can also sit outside where it is a bit cooler. It is cozy to be in the Café where you feel like you have come home to an aunt with a maximalist style. We ordered some cake and coffee which was good but both cakes were a bit on the dry side. However definitely worth a visit and another day when they might have fresh cheesecake it will be a 5/5.

30/09/2026: By the magic of teleportation, someone took a quality pizzeria from Florence, Italy, and planted it in Espergærde. It's both fantastic and miraculous. Update: Can recommend the calabrese with n'duja, red onion and olives. Notice how even slightly black crust is fantastic in taste and texture! Currently the best and most authentic Italian pizzas you can get near where I live and can drive to. Can only recommend visiting!

28/08/2026: If you love the taste of bake-off breakfast bread, then “Bagt” is the place. The price is high, but the bread is ALMOST as good as breakfast bread from Cirkle-K and Lidl.

22/03/2026: Really good residential area to live in, lots of activities for the residents, good apartments, unfortunately some clearly show signs of being over 50 years old. The biggest problem is that several residents can't figure out how to stop littering and leaving belongings outside the designated areas.

17/08/2026: A gastronomic experience in a class of its own On Saturday, my wife, a good friend and I visited Restaurant 1861, where we enjoyed the seven-course menu and the accompanying luxury wine menu. It was an experience that fully lived up to our expectations and more. From the first moment we were greeted by a very committed and professional waiter, who presented each course and wine with great enthusiasm and empathy. The explanations gave an extra dimension to the experience and made it a pleasure to follow the culinary journey throughout the evening. All seven courses were beautifully presented and executed with great respect for the ingredients. Each course offered exciting flavor combinations, and the quality was consistently at a very high level. The wine menu was carefully matched to the courses and further enhanced the taste experience. The restaurant's atmosphere also deserves great praise. The cozy and inviting surroundings, combined with the fantastic view of the Øresund and Sweden, created the perfect setting for a memorable evening. Thank you to the entire team at Restaurant 1861 for an excellent experience. We felt welcome, appreciated and well taken care of from start to finish. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Restaurant 1861 to anyone who appreciates gastronomy, attentive service and a beautiful location.

27/09/2026: Ordered two Monster Burgers and a side of fries. You'd think it would be easy for a burger bar to serve fresh food. The fries were so soft that they couldn't be dipped in ketchup. Monster Burger? Call it what it is – a regular burger. You can safely take "Monster" out of the equation. A lame attempt at fast food at those prices. Madonna Burger Bar, Helsingør's oldest burger joint, is hereby a dead end for me. A lame attempt!
