29/04/2024: DON'T BOOK GREAT RESTRUP CASTLEHOTEL!!! We used a deal voucher for a stay at Store Restrup Slotshotel. It was just so disgusting, unappealing, smelly, inadequate and worn. There were rude staff, no service, inadequate equipment, worn and dirty buildings and fixtures. The view from the stuffy, dirty room with damp and old bathroom, moss on the windows and rot in the window frame we were allocated was an old rotten "pool" and dilapidated buildings behind a cordon. When we used the hair dryer, the lights in the bathroom where the power lines hung in arcs from the ceiling, so we got them in the head when. All the joints on the bathroom floor were brown with dirt, age and lime, the toilet must be at least 50 years old and even more disgusting, the mirror was greasy and under the very small shower with low water pressure hung a dirty soap dispenser. There were obvious splotches of cracks in the ceiling and even the printed menu in the room when we arrived was crumpled and old, along with an old welcome letter to a couple who weren't us. Hopeless. Everything was falling apart inside and out: the tattered wallpaper fraying, the rotting fence against the "moat", the carpets bending menacingly, the windows and flagpole with peeling paint - even the ironing board, where the fabric was holed and lacking padding . We asked for an iron at the reception, and she provided the room number that had borrowed the one iron they own, so I could knock on their door myself and pick it up (!). The man running around in worn jeans and a t-shirt serving our dinner was rude, knew nothing about the food and just wanted us to finish eating - after dessert we were not allowed to buy a drink or beer - not even to take away up to the room, for he was closing now. There wasn't even an opportunity to walk around the area, so we could vent the great disappointment and the stuffy smell in the buildings - the only route they could point out was along a busy country road, and the "castle garden" was vanishingly small , unkempt and you had to be careful to look behind the corners, where junk is stored, where it smells and where the old, rotten pool stands with brackish water to the edge. So disappointed and far from the "Adventurous castle stay" I had bought it as.

31/10/2024: Room wasn't cleaned once in over two weeks. Towels are only changed upon request, as is the trash can. Beds worn out, rooms very small, dark and in need of renovation. Reception is already closed in the morning and evening.

28/10/2024: Arrived at a locked door at Hotel Phønix. However, I had been given a code for the door. When I walked in and up the stairs, there was an envelope with my name on it. I took the envelope that contained my key and went up to my room. After unpacking, I went downstairs to get a cup of coffee, but everything was closed... So it was not possible to get a cup of tea, or coffee... You couldn't get dinner either, so went out to Brønderslev to find a place to eat. But after reading the other reviews about this place, maybe it was better too. After my dinner, I went back to the hotel and went to bed. The next morning when I got up I went into the bath and turned on the water.....but there was no hot water!! I turned on the shower and let the water run....After 4 minutes, it still hadn't gotten hot. The water in the sink wasn't hot either... So a hotel where you can't eat or drink anything, and with cold water in the hot tap, without any kind of service, it's not a place I want to come again. However, the breakfast was of a reasonable nature, but I cannot recommend this place. If you have difficulty walking, do not choose this hotel as there are many stairs and no elevator.

07/09/2024: Too challenged staff! / young/ ignorant woman! Have a summer house here and behave nicely!! You must not drink your finished 2cl in the bar! Gets kicked out for asking to drink his beer!

09/07/2024: Well, we lost so it's not crazy, and then they aren't even able to repair the light spots at the entrance.... which indicates the seriousness of the establishment, plus the price of 60kr access to the casino is not justified, apart from the hot drinks available, there are no services that require you to pay an entrance fee

13/11/2024: Very thin pizzas. Dry and tasteless steaks in Greek steak and burger. Good crispy fries and potato both, and fresh salad. Really good atmosphere and nice people.

13/10/2024: A really nice place with really sweet, friendly and smiling staff. Been coming there for the last 10 years and it's a tradition to come there when I'm in these parts. Must say it was probably the best banana split I've had to date, it was today 13/10-24 Thanks for food.🙏❤️

20/10/2024: Hang on, what an ice cream cone we got, it was so much ice cream that he, who has no qualms about ice cream, had to give up eating it all... 😀😀 5 large scoops of your choice, soft ice cream and goof in a giant ice cream waffle... Welcome.. 👍👍
