24/10/2025: We chose the restaurant as we were staying at the hotel and the weather was not inviting for a bushwalk. A bit high price level for a Norwegian these days, but the food we got was really good. One of the best meals I have been served in Skagen…..

18/09/2025: Restaurant Holger is the hotel's own restaurant at the Color Hotel in Skagen. We wouldn't have expected such a magnificent restaurant in a 4-star hotel. We had fish soup with a fantastic garnish, top-fresh mussels, langoustines, and cod. The soup was poured at the table... as it should be. Afterward, we had Atlantic lobster with crayfish, green asparagus, and sautéed mushrooms, simply divine! The price-performance ratio here is just right ⭐️

22/08/2024: Vi trålet havneområdet etter et sted å spise, men ikke helt enkelt. Mange stengte 14, mens andre åpnet 17. Så havnet vi her, middag åpnet 17 men det danskene kaller frokost var mulig. Då da ble det fiskefileter og danske smørrebrød og alle 6 ble fornøyde og gode og mette. Vi satt på utedelen i sola i god temp.

15/05/2024: Vi havde reserveret bord til 4 voksne og 3 børn fredag kl. 18.00 Vi var de første og eneste i restauranten i begyndelsen. Tjeneren kunne ikke forklar hvad "fyldt" fiskefilet bestod af, var i køkkenet for at spørge. Helt ok, men så var det forventelig at svaret også var hvad vi senere fik. Det var ikke tilfældet. Der var et par halve champignoner og lidt porre i noget sovs og ikke rejer og asparges som vi var stillet i udsigt. Portionerne var pænt store, men meget uens. Fisken var mere panering end fisk. Værst var dog at vi måtte vente 1 time! på maden, selvom vi kom kl. 18 og var alene i restauranten. Der kom så nogle andre gæster, omkring kl. 18.30, som der ikke var dækket op til, men der blev båret mad ind til dem straks? Helt igennem en uprofessionel og dårlig oplevelse. Der kommer vi ikke igen.

02/07/2024: The dough of pizza was very bad. We always order and it was very tasty, but today was absolutely another taste and consistency.

26/01/2025: Nice place, but the bartenders are slow, they just stand and talk instead of serving.

21/06/2025: Just ordered drinks. The bartender changes personality. Insanely aggressive. Asked for a number with all of Denmark's Lamin. The bartender is pissing me off like she owns dsousaperformance. Crazy that you get kicked out for wanting a banger. Had to tie my Irish coffee to the doorman's neck. Scalded throat. 2/5 stars Reply to Daniel Lehmann: We did absolutely nothing. I don't know what you saw on that surveillance, but what you write is simply not true. You can tell that the service level comes from above. Even the doorman said she was a slob. 1/5 star

11/07/2025: Me and a friend were hitchhiking and had searched for this bar the night before. We ended up going there around 12 in the morning, and we're so glad we did! The place is really cozy, and everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. They let us charge our phones and power banks, which was a lifesaver since we had nowhere else to go. The atmosphere was so nice that time went by really fast. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality, it truly made a difference in our journey. Highly recommend!

26/08/2023: The food was delicious; we had plaice and spicy potatoes. The friendly service was perfect for us 👍🏻 The ambiance is simple but clean. The view of the harbor is beautiful. We highly recommend it.

01/08/2023: The fish was good quality but everything else done without any effort. I took the Stjerneskud wich was served on sad toast bread and store bought dressing. For some reason pineapple was in the mix? My company took the rødspættefilé that was well prepared and tasty but served with potatosallad directly from the bucket. Not pleasant. Nice location and they clearly have access to good fish but they need to put some more effort into the food. Not recommended
