13/08/2025: Excellent little eat-cafe. Burgers were excellent (great portions) and the staff had plenty of time to help the kids choose their lunch. Would return.

08/03/2025: Two of us visited for roast pork on Wednesday 5/3 and we thought that your roast pork (the one without breading) was so dry that you couldn't bite through it (very dry and hard) and the breaded pork was tough and the edge was impossible to bite through. Due to the busyness, we couldn't get a hold of the staff (there was only one and it was very busy). You must be able to do better because you have had roast pork on Wednesdays for a long time also out in Vangen. A disappointed customer

03/02/2026: Here is a review of the lunch at a normal cafe in Danish (neutral-positive): We had lunch at this cafe and the experience was completely satisfactory. The food was fresh and tasty, and the portions were adequate for lunch. The menu was easy to understand with a good selection of classic dishes. The service was friendly and efficient, and we felt welcome from the start. The wait was short, and the order was served without any problems. The cafe had a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, which is good for both a quick lunch and a longer stay. The place was clean and tidy, and the atmosphere was calm. 02/04/2026: Really a cozy place, with a lovely atmosphere and happy people. I was lucky enough that the owners were at their own pub that day. It was on darts hygge and later national match 🇩🇰 the place is not that big in size, but huge when it comes to being welcoming 😇✌️ 1000 thanks for a really good evening 👌😊

13/07/2026: If you love a so-called Dive bar. Here, from morning to night, the local guys sit and drink beer, smoke and talk. Genuine, ha ha A hof costs 15 SEK.. Cheap, good

22/05/2026: I took 2 steps into this place in the middle of the morning when it looked empty and was immediately overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. I very quickly took 2 steps back out again. I would give no stars if I could

26/08/2023: The food was delicious; we had plaice and spicy potatoes. The friendly service was perfect for us 👍🏻 The ambiance is simple but clean. The view of the harbor is beautiful. We highly recommend it.

01/08/2023: The fish was good quality but everything else done without any effort. I took the Stjerneskud wich was served on sad toast bread and store bought dressing. For some reason pineapple was in the mix? My company took the rødspættefilé that was well prepared and tasty but served with potatosallad directly from the bucket. Not pleasant. Nice location and they clearly have access to good fish but they need to put some more effort into the food. Not recommended

02/09/2025: Had a gift certificate from the previous owner, issued 3 weeks before the new owners took over the place, they are not obligated to redeem such a gift certificate, but did so anyway. The pizzas were super good with crispy bottom 🙂

02/08/2026: My parents are extremely satisfied with both the service, delivery time, taste, quantity and variety of dishes in general. My mother has always cooked good old-fashioned food herself, but can no longer do so now, but I still get it - just made by Sønderup Landkøkken now. I have also had the pleasure of eating with them and it was really delicious and filling. It also seems that there is a focus on good nutritional content and a healthy and varied diet. You order yourself per month - what you want to eat. Upon delivery, you can make the dishes warm in the microwave oven, which my mother prefers. They are warm upon delivery. If you move the dishes from the trays they are delivered in and onto a plate, they look just as delicious as they taste. Attached are pictures for example.

25/07/2026: When all of Fredrikshamn is dead and you open the door to the monk, you are hit by a thick smell of smoke, loud music and a fantastic family atmosphere. Locals who are happy and singing. Cheap beer. Fresh toilets. The remaining bars on the street need to step up a bit. Hats off to the monk. Everyone should go here during their stay. Warm greetings from Sweden.
