18/11/2025: Lots of atmosphere and cozy decor, very delicious food, sweet service and our food came quickly even though there were many guests. (It would be good with more wardrobe space for outerwear)

19/10/2025: We are greeted by a waiter at the entrance, we get a nice welcome and the waiter is professional and well-dressed even calm. We are shown to our table, we sit down. We choose a 3-course menu each. I don't have many words to say about the food, it was consistently exceptional. The food tasted fantastic, the composition was thought out and the ingredients were local and good. Late in the evening the entire restaurant was full, so it was challenging to be so many people in the same place. There should be some form of ventilation, as the air was heavy even though the atmosphere was relaxed and calm. The music was muted and comfortable, the room was heated, the decoration in the room is characterized by pearl plates, empty bottles, pictures and a lot of other things. Instead, the decoration should illuminate the river, Sæby and cultural history. Fresh flowers would like to make a difference, I wonder why there were no flowers in the restaurant, when the food they serve is at a high level of chef skills. Served on the table as an extra service: 2 baskets of: Sourdough bread with old-fashioned kernel butter from Aabybro Dairy. Starters: 2 pcs: Haddock with soy, kimchi, carrot and pumpkin. 1 pc: Mushrooms in hollandaise sauce, sprinkled with yeast. Main courses: 1 pc: Slow-cooked veal. 1 pc: Red deer fillet. Dessert: 1 pc: Beer bread with ice cream and meringue. Drinks: 2 pcs: Pepsi Max bottle. 1 pc: non-alcoholic beer. 1 pc: jug of water. We'll be back.

26/08/2025: Very quiet and discreetly located behind the dunes. Danish cleaning staff, but satisfactory. Perhaps not the best value for money, but that's true throughout the country.

11/10/2025: Friendly service, but the food was nothing special. We got schnitzel and fish n chips. Schnitzel was wet with grease and not crispy. French fries were the usual kind you get at a grill bar. There was only one (not very large) piece of fish for fish n chips. The peas were a bit overcooked. For the food we ended up with 280kr and we weren't very full. We won't be back👎🏻

30/11/2025: Christmas lunch at Møllehuset in Frederikshavn: A disaster from start to finish We were six adults and a small baby for their Christmas buffet – an experience that unfortunately ended up being one of the most unprofessional events I have ever attended. When booking, we informed them that we were coming with a baby and wanted a table by a window, so that we could have the stroller close and in sight. This was confirmed without hesitation. When we arrived, it turned out that yes, the table was by a window – but on the other side of the window there was a slope down towards the water, where a stroller obviously cannot stand. In other words: the promise was not fulfilled, and the stroller had to be placed in a place where we could not see it at all. A really bad start. But unfortunately that was only the beginning. We were seated 10 minutes earlier, as they requested. Yet it took 45-60 minutes before anyone even came to ask what we wanted to drink. When you only have 3 hours for the whole event, this is completely unacceptable. When the drinks finally arrived, of course one was missing – and even after pointing it out, another 5-10 minutes passed without anything happening. It seemed as if the staff were constantly forgetting things and running around without any overview. We quickly noticed that it wasn’t just us: the tables around us were also waiting for up to an hour for their drinks. Many guests complained loudly about the lack of service, poor service and a staff that clearly had nothing to do with anything. The atmosphere in the room was anything but Christmassy. The buffet was also nowhere near ready. Basic dishes such as pork roast, potatoes, fish fillet, etc. were constantly missing. Guests stood in line several times, only to discover that the dishes were empty again – and that it could take 5-10 minutes before anything was refilled. The quality of the food was ok, but certainly not enough to save the overall experience. In addition, a beer menu is placed on the table with 15 different beers – but only 3 are in stock. A detail that sums up the entire evening very well: Lots of promises, no delivery. I have rarely experienced such poor organization, such slow service and such little overview at an event that should have been planned well in advance and run according to routine. It seemed as if the staff were far too few, far too stressed and without coordination. Everyone at our table agreed: This was not a Christmas party – it was chaos. Unfortunately, it is clear that this was not just an isolated incident. Subsequently, we can see that many others have experienced the same thing. My recommendation is therefore clear: Cancel if you have booked, and save yourself the disappointment.

19/08/2025: The food is the most real, well made and just perfect there can be. They bake the bread, make the jams, cook the ham, do everything from scratch in the oldschool way. The dinner dishes was sublime. Breaded and panfried Plaice is served all over Skagen, but the one we had here was next level, there is probably not a better to be had in Denmark! The owner is a rare case of a Chef with a knowlage spanning decades and refuses to compromise on anything from breakfast to dinner, a rare gem of a Chef and a class woman. Everything we ate here was as good as oldschool, authentic homemade cooking can be. All the produce they use is of the highest quality. As a Chef myself, this is one of the Realest experiances i have ever had and a was honored to be alowed into the retro kitchen for a look. The kitchen with the 50years old stove is the cleanest kitchen i have ever seen. My only regret is not booking a longer stay, but we will come back next year.

I visited while in Skagen for the day and was drawn to the cozy ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Texas Burger, which came with a warm bun, a 200g beef patty, salsa, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and homemade dressing, all served with crispy fries. The flavors were bold, with the jalapenos adding just the right amount of spice, and the homemade dressing tying everything together perfectly. My wife chose the Hollywood Burger, featuring the same delicious 200g beef patty, topped with sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and the house-made dressing, also accompanied by fries. She loved the richness of the mushrooms and onion rings, which gave the burger a unique, hearty flavor. For our daughter, the Children’s Burger was a hit. A simple, well-sized burger served with fries, it was the perfect portion for her. Restaurant California not only delivered on flavor but also on service. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. 16/12/2025: If you are looking for the perfect place to enjoy a break, Green's is the place! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly smiles. Their Irish Coffee is a real delight, made by a true master! It is perfectly balanced — sweet, strong and topped with a layer of fresh whipped cream that makes every sip feel like a hug to the soul. The whole experience is elevated even more by the competent gentleman on the left, in the picture, who really knows what he is doing! He takes the time to recommend the best whiskey and coffee to make sure you get the most out of your drink. The atmosphere is informal and cozy, perfect for groups of friends and couples alike. Check out their events; they often have something fun going on, like karaoke, which adds an extra spice to your visit. In short, Green's is not just a bar — they also serve food (I'm glad I did). All in all, a great place to have fun and chill, relax, and make memories. I highly recommend a visit, especially for their irresistible Irish Coffee! 🍀☕️

27/11/2025: Ordered their Greens special burger with fries. Super delicious. The burger patty was homemade and deliciously juicy. Lettuce, tomato and cucumber were 100% fresh.....delicious The fries were nice and warm and crispy. The service was top notch. We got a good recommendation for their own lager beer, which was sitting right in the cupboard. Tasty and balanced. Unfortunately it is only available on tap (otherwise I would have bought some bottles to take home) Absolutely worth the money and a lovely lunch experience.

16/07/2025: 2nd time I've visited the place.. My friend and I had bought a deal for a sandwich buffet.. 😉 The sandwiches are good and nicely decorated.. Especially the potato dish is a big hit.. Ate 3 of them.. 😋 🥰 Will definitely come again..

22/11/2025: Delicious burgers and homemade lemonades. Friendly and fast service. The place is kept in the American style of roadside bars: warm, friendly, and inviting. We took advantage of the offer of two mini burgers for 70 kroner. We tried four flavors in total. Two is easily enough to satisfy a small hunger.

30/10/2025: Yes an angry young girls who couldn't smile now but maybe a bad day. Slow to take our order. Yes 35 minutes later our burger comes laid in a very tvedbæk looked like bread thing hard like coal well yes it looked like coal black bread tvedbæk meat salad tasted good fries were good .but refusal u ha no .but got pressured her got 10 percent wow never come there again and mean never again coal burger .

01/10/2025: Apart from the TV remote not working, everything was fine. We went downstairs and had the batteries changed but unfortunately that didn't help.

27/09/2025: I think the hotel is nicely located with a view of the harbor. We chose to upgrade to a room on the 5th floor with a view, but I probably didn't expect to have to listen to the music from the party on the 6th floor. You could call that throwing money out the window because it only made the experience worse. Simply not okay when you come to relax. I don't think we are the only ones on the entire 5th floor. We could even hear the lyrics to the songs that were being played. It's that loud. Maybe you should consider whether you should stop renting the room out when there is a party or maybe turn the music down a bit. I was on the 6th floor myself to see what was happening and there was no one to talk to at that party.
