16/08/2026: Torvecafeen is one of the classic local pubs in Hjørring and is centrally located in Nørregade. It is not a modern café, as the name might lead one to believe, but rather a truly traditional bar and bodega with a relaxed and down-to-earth atmosphere. The place has existed in various forms for many years and has gradually become part of the cityscape of Hjørring. There is historical information about Torve-Cafeen at the address dating back to the 1980s, which gives the place a little extra local history. It is a place where you can come in for a beer or other drink, have a chat and experience the traditional pub atmosphere. Other guests highlight the good atmosphere and friendly service, and the place has generally received good reviews. The opening hours are long, and Friday and Saturday in particular stand out, when it is open until 2:00 a.m. This makes Torvecafeen an obvious place both during the day and later in the evening. All in all, a cozy and very local pub in Hjørring. Torvecafeen doesn't try to be modern or fancy, and that's actually part of its charm. Instead, you get a classic bodega atmosphere, central surroundings, and a place that has been a part of Hjørring's city life for many years.

05/05/2026: Always really delicious food and atmosphere filled rooms. We usually get their signature menu, with 4 small appetizers and all you can eat sushi, just delicious. Outside and inside dining really nice rooms.

30/08/2026: After the boat trip, we decided to get coffee and sandwiches here. Yes, very pricey, but the ham and cheese and chicken pesto toasties were perhaps the best we have ever eaten. We also got the chicken curry sandwiches and these were outstanding as well. I sincerely hope these branches come to the Netherlands too. Wow!

14/08/2026: The taste is good, and the portion is large; two servings are enough for three people.

19/09/2026: Delicious soft serve ice cream and generous portions (the ice cream in the picture is the small size and is plenty). The price is quite high, but you can treat yourself on vacation. 😉

25/09/2026: Terrible! The evening buffet was inedible – the meat was dry and we had to wait ages. Out of 10 types of meat, only 6 arrived. The side dishes were already cold. The salad and dessert were okay. The service was inattentive. No one cleared their table. Everyone seemed unfriendly. Unfortunately, we only realized too late that the bill was completely wrong.
