21/12/2025: Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet has deteriorated significantly. The waffle iron is practically broken, and the finished waffle tasted musty. Instead of the wonderful toppings (like gruel and creamy yogurt mousse that were available a year ago), there was simply skyr and jam – which is already offered at the buffet anyway. The juices were unidentifiable and were certainly a fruit juice blend; there was no cappuccino or latte macchiato. The rye bread and rolls were good – one star for those. The bread and toast were very dry. The scrambled eggs were a completely crumbly, tasteless mush. The soft-boiled eggs (served ice-cold) were quite tasty, but almost impossible to peel and still very raw, making them difficult to eat. There were three types of cheese and three types of cold cuts (a perfectly adequate selection), but all of them were very dry and some were even wavy. The bell pepper strips and cucumber/carrot sticks were very soft and not at all crunchy. We arrived at the buffet early, and it was certainly all leftovers from yesterday. There was still fruit, three kinds of muesli, beans, sausages, hash browns, and jams, but we didn't try any of it. We simply lost our appetite. It's a shame, the view is so beautiful that we usually love having breakfast here.

15/02/2026: I visited Café Gallardo in Esbjerg recently, and it was a really good experience! The atmosphere is both modern and relaxed, and the interior of the café is bright, cozy and inviting, perfect for lunch, dinner or a cup of coffee in good company. The food was really delicious and tasty - the menu offers everything from juicy burgers and fresh pasta dishes to good sandwiches and salads, so there is something for everyone. The portions are generous, and you can really feel that thought has been put into both taste and presentation. The service was friendly and attentive, and the café manages to create a welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable - ideal for both cozy moments with friends, family or colleagues. All in all, a place I can highly recommend if you are in Esbjerg and want good food, good coffee and a cozy experience. I will definitely come back! ⭐☕

29/12/2025: Shitty food! Ordered nachos with cheese, supposed to be salsa, sour cream dressing and guacamole, there was no guacamole and burnt nacho chips. My husband ordered a bagel the chicken was cold and wet and the bacon was completely burnt. Long wait compared to us not ordering much Can NOT recommend sommerlyst in bramming!

15/08/2025: Get the best and (maybe) biggest sausage or kebab mix in Esbjerg. Always good service.

28/05/2025: Super friendly and accommodating. Ordered for 6 people and it took roughly 10minutes. Could not take mastercard but i had cash. Fried chicken and chips, roasted hotdog, Red giant in a blanket and chicken nuggets w. chips for the kids.

05/11/2025: The main focus is the food and it holds up well, but lacks the final finesse for 5 stars. The service was ok, but when replacing dessert wine with an extra glass of red wine with the food, they solved the problem by downsizing the quality of the wine, because the dessert wine was cheaper. We would have preferred to be able to choose a glass of more expensive red wine of the same quality as in the wine menu for a completely fair extra payment, but we never got the opportunity. The good advice is that you should always make the cake bigger, then there is more to share - you should never downsize. 🙂

16/09/2025: I had a short but very, very nice stay on this island! Peace and quiet. Peace and quiet again. If you want to escape the stress of home, please stay in a holiday home here. You might see the large tractors driving visitors back and forth, but when this is over and you can take an evening stroll on the mudflats or the beach, it's pure relaxation.

08/02/2026: I told him to give me a box for 55kr, he then makes a dish and puts it in that shawarma tray for 90kr with exactly the same amount in it, even though I clearly asked for a box. Is that how you do business?
