11/04/2025: We were at a memorial service after a funeral at Novrup chapel, it was as nice as it is now possible after such a funeral... Really good buns, warm pretzels & the layer cake & it was really good & extremely tasty... The staff were really friendly & very service minded...👍👍👍👍👍 Can only be HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all kinds of Parties/Celebrations… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

04/06/2025: I think it's a hotel restaurant that has been around for a long time. The floor was crooked, the layout in different dining areas is reminiscent of a past where things were done this way. The interior is also a bit like that, quite a nice nostalgic atmosphere. The food was tasty, except that the fish of the day (tuna) was a bit tough and therefore certainly not fresh. The cheese board was ample and tasty with sweet and savoury flavours. The service didn't have much time, was friendly businesslike to the point and rushed to the next one. The place was fairly full and there were only two, so all understanding. The food was brought quickly.

04/06/2025: Great hotel with a great location in the centre of Ribe, perfect if you want to explore the city by walking. Parking was the public parking spots that are within a ten minute walk, this was not ideal for us since we had a stroller and suitcases it was a little hassle but if you can travel light without strollers you will be absolutely fine. It was a little unclear where our room was in the hotel since the doors were all open of the rooms so we didn't understand but found out eventually. We got a very big room that had a very cosy interior in Danish style. Beautiful windows that had a beautiful view on the church of Ribe. We didn't know there wasn't an elevator which was also not ideal with the stroller. This hotel is not recommend when you are a wheelchair user. We also found forgotten underwear from another guest in the bathroom closet so I guess the cleaning could be a little better. Overall we had a great stay, the atmosphere of the hotel and room made it a very memorable stay and the reason of 5 stars, that and the location.

30/04/2025: Unfortunately, the pizza didn’t live up to our expectations. Low-quality ingredients and a disappointing crust.Not quite what we were hoping for.

01/04/2025: Totally sold on their Cia buns, Mmm. There is a large selection of both bread, but also cakes and sandwich options. Definitely worth a visit.

18/05/2025: We were at Hanzo Esbjerg this weekend We had decided in advance to order the Hanzo Experience, which we have tried before. We sat down at the table at 19:15 and ordered the above menu and drinks for my wife, my daughter and myself. Drinks and the first 3 small dishes came quickly, and the dishes were super delicious and my daughter was also excited about your homemade lemonade. Then things started to go wrong. After we had waited for almost an hour (20:40), I asked one of the friendly waiters if they had "forgotten us" and she assured us that our next dishes were on their way. We got our next three dishes relatively quickly after that and were given an extra glass of wine and a lemonade as a bandage on the wound. But the damage was done, waiting almost an hour for the food is not good enough, when you yourself describe it as "a continuous flow" of dishes. You get two stars! 1 star for the food which is super delicious and flavorful 1 star for the sweet and friendly waiters you have in Esbjerg 0 stars for the experience you promise for Hanzo Experience

15/05/2025: We recently had the pleasure of dining at Hanzō Esbjerg – and it was a real highlight! Although we arrived a little later than planned, we received a warm welcome and prompt service. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening enjoyable from the start. The dining experience was outstanding. The menu offers a diverse selection of Asian dishes that impress both in terms of taste and appearance. Particularly noteworthy are the Korean Fried Chicken Baos with sweet gochujang sauce and Japanese mayonnaise, and the Hanzo Curry with red curry, chicken, oyster mushrooms, green beans, and steamed rice. The beer selection is also commendable. There is a good selection of beers that perfectly complement the dishes on offer. The atmosphere at Hanzō Esbjerg is modern and inviting, with a stylish interior that highlights the restaurant's Asian inspiration. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere makes this restaurant a place we'd happily recommend. For anyone looking for authentic Asian cuisine in Esbjerg, Hanzō Esbjerg is definitely worth a visit.
