03/06/2025: Short review: Hotel Dagmar in Ribe Hotel Dagmar is Denmark's oldest hotel and is centrally located on the main square in Ribe. It exudes historic charm with crooked floors, lattice windows and a cozy atmosphere. The rooms are individually decorated, and the hotel has two good restaurants - one with classic Danish food and a more rustic cellar restaurant. The location is perfect for exploring Ribe, and the service is friendly and welcoming. An authentic and atmospheric experience in the heart of the city.

03/06/2025: We ate here on the terrace in the evening sun and later under the heater The food (spare ribs) was nicely served and was a large portion It tasted good The service was not that fast but there was also only I served on the entire terrace

15/05/2025: Disappointing food. Got a risotto where the rice was still not cooked and really flat and boring taste of bouillon cubes.

07/05/2025: We are staying in a hotel that is in the same building, so I wanted to go for a drink. I was seated, looked at the sunset, all beautiful, but after 20 minutes the waiter did not come to order my drink. I gave up and went for a beer at the reception in disappointment...

17/04/2025: I had asparagus as one dish. It was almost raw. I returned one of the two pieces claiming it was raw. The waiter told me he will inform the chef. When it came to the check I had to ask the waiter what the chef said. The chef agreed with me but since I did not return the entire dish they did not feel to do anything the waiter replied. With a bill of 2.800 DKK for a party of 3, I would have expected that it would have been removed from the bill entirely. But for sure I paid the whole amount. Providing best quality with no compromise is not what I have experienced. Allthough the rest was a nice experience, with this attitude I would not recommend this place. At McDonalds I would have become a better reaction. So one star, not to be recommended.

19/03/2025: Good place to meet for formal gatherings such as corporate events. Can highly recommend their mocktails and sparkling tea. The dishes were top tier and in good portion sizes, so you can taste a bit of everything in one evening.

18/02/2025: The buffet is definitely not among the best we have tried, and the price is too high in comparison. Would always choose Esbjerg instead (cheaper far better and ice cream and coffee are included in the price. As well as sushi).

18/05/2025: Received this response from the owner after the review below of the restaurant. It is under all criticism. They have subsequently deleted the response again. Their response: Shut up, you are just a picky eater and have the taste buds of a three-year-old My review: The food does not live up to the description at all. Their "waffles" are apple slices pressed in a waffle maker without jam. The "Greek yogurt with fruit compote and coconut crunch" is vanilla yogurt with blackcurrant jam and coconut flour. Their "pineapple with mint and pine nuts" were old pineapple pieces and completely soft old mint with bell pepper pieces in between (evidence of old pineapple from another dish?). The bread was tasteless. The service was sweet but terribly slow. The place is nicely decorated with good acoustics. All in all, a terrible experience and we will NOT be back.

17/05/2025: We waited a whole hour to get our brunch despite the fact that we had pre-ordered our dishes 3 days before! You would think they had made the waffles the day we ordered - they were terribly dry! Baked eggs, but completely cold? 45 kr. For a lemonade, which was definitely not worth it - at least you could choose to serve it in a different way than just in the glass bottle it comes in. 1 child got his pre-ordered children's menu and then the rest of us sat and waited for at least 20 minutes, then a little more came and the last 2 then waited 10 minutes again. Then we could all eat after A WHOLE HOUR. It was no longer brunch, but lunch. Cozy surroundings, but unfortunately that's the only thing that was good.

01/06/2025: The buns had been stacked on top of each other before they had cooled, which resulted in it being completely soft and rubbery. All the breakfast bread had also been stacked like this so it was soft.

01/05/2025: Today there were 5 of us who visited you in Esbjerg. There were 3 of us who got what we ordered and 2 who got what was supposed to be the boss's sandwich with chicken. However, you came with 2 burger buns with beef in them, which we asked if you would kindly change. Something new came in with the right bread, but with contents that were confusingly similar to the contents of previous burgers with beef. We asked for another ounce, but the rest of us in the company had now started eating. As a kind of compensation, we were given the opportunity to refill drinks on the house and were allowed to eat from what they had previously brought. They could eat fries, the 2 who were waiting. When the food came it was as it should be.
