De bedste restauranter i Varde

17/07/2026: Had booked a table for 4 places. After 10 minutes of arrival we ask to see the menu for dinner. The waiter says that this evening there is only a grill menu for 455,- per place. We don't understand that, it was neither stated on the phone nor on the website that you could not choose the a la carte menu. Deeply disappointing, as we had pre-booked the time and booked a campsite. It seems pretty clear that Henne Strand Resort is not geared to a high level. Waste of time and money.

13/07/2026: Lunch for 2. Fish of the day, monkfish and hake - really delicious. Tasted the house's home-brewed beer, a great pleasure. Good and efficient service.

01/09/2026: A nice little cafe with a nice selection of food. There are about 10 tables and space for about 40-60 diners. Good place to eat.

23/08/2026: Great café in the Tirpitz Museum with excellent service and delicious food. I'd love to come back again!

01/07/2026: If you don't feel like grilling, this is a great place to go. It's a lovely restaurant, the staff make an effort to speak German, and the food is delicious. Dogs always get a bowl of water and are welcome.

27/06/2026: We stood in the restaurant for 15 minutes waiting for someone to give us a table (there were four of us). The restaurant was only about 20% full. When we asked a second time, we were told in a very rude tone to wait another 5 minutes! We then decided to leave. The tone and the way we were simply left standing there was unacceptable.

18/08/2026: We were there with family and a friend. High chairs were available, and drinks were ordered via tablet – a bit odd, but self-explanatory. The food was good, with lots of fresh items, and the rest, as usual, was mostly fried. I tried everything on the menu and can definitely recommend it. Children up to 12 years old pay half price, but since our son was 3, we still had to pay for him even though the restaurant's website states otherwise. Anyway, all in all, it's recommendable, and we would come back.

10/08/2026: We arrived half an hour before they were supposed to close and the food was cold and boring.

13/07/2026: I'd give it zero stars if I could!!! Worst ice cream parlor I've ever been to. Very unfriendly and incompetent staff. Especially the woman. Never again! Save your money and go to an ice cream parlor where the staff listens to your wishes.

23/09/2026: Practice! Practice! Practice! What a shame - Blåvand Fiskerestaurant is in no way what it used to be! Today it has been transformed into a tourist trap, where the goal is to cram as many people as possible into the smallest possible space and get people out the door as quickly as possible, so that a few more times can be turned over at the same table. I have nothing against making good money, but now it has become far too crude and far too obvious that it is now only about profit maximization. The food is not at all what it used to be, it lacks decoration, richness, the impression of being made with pride and grandeur. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very bad with incredibly LOUD SPEAKING, people almost have to shout to drown out other guests, as the acoustics are completely lousy, as there are plaster ceilings. You can clearly hear everyone else's conversations from a long distance in the restaurant. Some partitions and some acoustic ceiling could remedy the problem. At the same time, there is absolutely NO coziness or environment in the restaurant - it is only a feeding place for those who wander in. It is probably typical one-time tourists by now. We have found a far, far better alternative to the restaurant in Hvide Sande instead, which has coziness, good atmosphere and absolutely fantastic food.

18/09/2026: Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, as we weren't served and left the restaurant after some time without having ordered anything. The woman who served us was then very unfriendly. Never again!

08/10/2025: Delicious fish burger and fish & chips, the coffee was great as was the service!

30/08/2025: Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place at all. We bought fish cakes there. When I asked if the fish cakes were fresh, they denied it. The seller couldn't even tell me when the fish cakes were made. One of the cakes was still frozen inside and tasted very bland. I wouldn't recommend it.

05/09/2026: Beautiful newly renovated restaurant. Really good coffee, and nice service.

12/08/2026: We were initially hesitant because the restaurant doesn't look very inviting from the outside. However, the interior is all the more beautiful. We're so glad we went, because the all-you-can-eat buffet is truly excellent. It's fresh, very well-seasoned, and plentiful. You can taste that it's freshly prepared and that the kitchen uses fresh ingredients and spices. The service is very friendly and helpful!

04/08/2026: Highly recommended, especially the buffet. It was delicious and very fresh. And for the price, it's simply fantastic. Food was constantly being replenished. Ice cream, coffee, fruit, and salads are included in the price.

12/09/2026: We ordered a pizza, a shooting star and a burger. The pizza had way too much cheese on it. The shooting star was a very scrappy version with canned asparagus, sparse bad dressing. The burger was nothing to shout about, far too ordinary for the price. We paid +700kr for food and drinks. It wasn't worth it.

30/07/2026: We were there a few days ago, reminiscing about times gone by. The food is more like the lowest-level fast-food joint, but the prices are four-star. The cutlery and furniture are truly disgusting.

23/07/2026: Bought 4 soft ice today. Quite expensive but no more so than the other Blaavand places, but they did not taste very well compared to them. Contemplated returning but had walked too far too far before we all agreed something was not right. Slightly concerned it had gone off but probably just some type none of us liked

12/07/2026: We booked this restaurant for our wedding lunch and it is safe to say that we made the best choice! The staff was incredibly nice, we got a quieter table and could even take some food home for 2 people who could not make the reservation due to spontaneous medical issues. The food and drinks tasted amazing and allergies were taken care of. The wine-options are truly amazing! What we want to additionally say is that they went above and beyond to accommodate us and even let us order from the dinner card for lunch as we decided on the menu 4 weeks prior. We would come back here without a second thought.

31/05/2026: We were staying at Arnbjerg Pavillonen because we were getting married in Varde. On our wedding day we decided to go to GRO restaurant because there were not many options in the area and we wanted to stay close to the hotel. I booked a table in advance where i put it in the notes, that we are getting married and wanted a nice table for dinner. I also said it at the reception the day before the dinner. On said day, we came and it‘s safe to say we got disappointed. The table looked the same like any other table. Nothing was making it look at least nicer like i expected. The service was totally awful, didn‘t pay attention. I was so disappointed. Especially for the price we paid for dinner i was really expecting more especially because i told them 2 times if we could get a nice table or something because of our wedding. The woman at the reception even promised us, that she will put it in the notes for her colleagues but we basically had to beg the service employee for attention. It kinda ruined the evening.
