29/06/2025: The expresso house is perfectly Located in vejles square overlooking the mall. You can watch the world go by while enjoying a large tea, good coffee and your choice of cakes. The staff are so friendly. As you can see there are comfortable chairs and tables for small and bigger groups.

04/05/2025: Classic bakery shop with lots of things to choose from and cocoa milk in the fridge :) You have to come early though, otherwise it will quickly dry out. But that's the way it is.

13/09/2025: The chicken burger was delicious – juicy, full of flavor, and loaded with great toppings. The portion was big, the price was fair. I tried the beef burger last time that was amazing as well and I’ll definitely be coming back!

17/08/2025: Good buns, delicious steak and filling. Nice with a burger that has taken some time to put together (if they had pictures of their burgers, it would actually look like the picture - that's a rarity). Maybe a little bacon is missing and a little more gas on the dressing, but still a good experience, maybe the best burger in Vejle and for reasonable money. Thanks for the food

28/05/2025: Vi havde en helt fantastisk oplevelse på Restaurant Lyst i Vejle! Smagsoplevelsen var intet mindre end sublim, og de mange små amuse-bouches var en sand fryd for både øjne og smagsløg. Hver bid var gennemtænkt og spændende, og det var en fornøjelse at udforske Lyts's kreativitet. Deres vinkort er en skattekiste i sig selv, fyldt med gode vine til meget rimelige priser – en sjældenhed for en restaurant af denne kaliber. Det gav os mulighed for at finde et par perfekte vine, hvilket kun løftede oplevelsen yderligere. Vi har besøgt flere Michelin-stjernede restauranter, men dette var uden tvivl en af de bedste 1-stjernede oplevelser, vi har haft. Service var uovertruffen, med et opmærksomt og passioneret personale, der gjorde aftenen helt speciel. Hvis vi skal nævne en lille ting, var den sidste tur ud for rense "smagsløgsrenser" lidt unødvendig. Frem og ilbage. Alt i alt var det dog en vidunderlig oplevelse, som vi varmt kan anbefale. Restaurant Lyst er en mad perle, der kombinerer kreativitet, smag og enestående service til perfektion. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbake.

20/07/2025: Updated review (4 stars, APR 2025): My wife and I have been by twice since our first experience. They still have really nice wines - and a few snacks. The staff we experienced were professional and knowledgeable about wines. A pleasure to wine here. Original review (2 star, JAN 2025): Hmmmm. This is a tough review to write. There were good and bad… The wine bar is centrally located in Vejle. It is a cozy and intimate small place with a relatively small number of seats available - which is fine for a small wine bar. They have a very fine selection of interesting wines - and tasty it turned out. They do have a very small selection of mainly snacks - but you can order the charcuterie board if you want a little more. My wife and I dropped by with our grown son a Friday evening. All tables were occupied, but we were able to get a seating by the window on the high chairs. It seemed like the one waiter/bartender at work was quite busy so we got the menus our selves at the bar. After a short while the waiter came to us and asked if we had any questions. We did have questions about some of the wines. But after a short talk it turned out that the waiter (In a wine bar) knew nothing about wines and he had not tasted any of them either. He was not even sure if they had the wines because they were sold out on several he said. So we ordered a wine without assistance. When he came back to serve the wine, he had already opened it and he did not offer us to pre taste it before pouring. That was a first for us at a wine bar. We ordered the charcuterie board - and cancelled 45 minutes later, as he was still not preparing it. As he said: “I’m busy”. And I agree - there should have been two persons at work this Friday. I ordered some bread and asked him if he could cut that immediately - which he did. During the evening he never came by to ask if we needed anything else. We ordered another glass of wine and had to do that by the bar. The wines we tasted were both really good. The bread also was good. But the lack of service and knowledge of the server was a disappointment. We may try it again in the future in the hopes of improvement.

17/03/2025: Fantastic little place with a fantastic atmosphere - wonderful service and great knowledge of the wines that were served - nice glass of white wine and salty almonds/green olives to go with it - bought the white wine home too.

08/08/2025: was here Friday 8/8 at 5:30 PM to buy 2x2 sausages 3 sodas 1 cheeseburger and a pork roast burger. a real rough start to the weekend. Nothing was under control.

29/07/2025: A normal highway gas station. It was a bit messy and the toilets weren't exactly great.

08/09/2025: Sweet waiter and appetizers were good and came in good time. After that we waited an hour for main courses, while we could see everyone else getting their food. When the food came it was very below average. A filet that was tough, carbonara that was genderless and tasted a lot of cream (!) and Ravioli that was also tasteless. When they asked about the food and we mentioned that we thought we had waited just long enough for the main courses and they were not as expected, a very confrontational head waiter came and lectured us that it was because we didn't understand Italian food, and that the reason we had to wait an hour was because it took 20 minutes to prepare the fillet! Anyway, said nicely that if they are not receptive to feedback they shouldn't ask for it. We reluctantly got a 10% discount on the 3 main courses which equaled 60 dkr on a bill of 1,300 dkr. Not a place we would recommend unless you only want appetizers. They were good. The rest, including the head waiter, were of critical standard.
