09/06/2025: I wanted to go to this place for a long time - it smelled very nice when I passed by a few times! But unfortunately it was a disappointment 😔 I took number 10 - ravioli with salmon. There was not a lot of flavor and pasta tasted weird, I didn’t enjoy at all. But salmon itself was nice. My boyfriend ordered number 4 with beef and it tasted a bit better, meat was very tender, but still something was off. I would have cooked things better at home, given the same ingredients. Out of good things - no complaints at the service, a lot of sauce, very big portion, nice menu that’s easy to choose from, vegetarian options.

28/07/2025: Absolute delight to try a kebabpizza here. It is not as fast as a pita wrap, but it was so worth it for the unctuous crunch of the crust, the balanced sauces, flavorful kebab and fresh, crunchy lettuce. 10/10 must try

07/07/2025: Okay, only went here for beers but absolutely regret going because I fell madly in love with our bartender, and I never got her name. Great place for a chill beer and head on, darts and foosball. (And cute bartenders) 😉

01/06/2025: Last night I went to Mambo club and I had to pay for my entry ticket because I arrived after midnight, which is fair. However, one of my friends, came in the club after me and the guy charging at the front for the entry tickets said to a group of people in front of her: “guys, just pretend you’re paying and tapping your card here”. This was literally in front of my friend, and she had to pay for her entry ticket after them. This was past 00:00. Very unfair. Not only this, when I finally paid the entry ticket, they made me pay for a jacket that I was wearing. One of my friends in front of me was also wearing a jacket and she was not told anything. I was held back by a security guy and they made me pay for a light jacket that I was planning to wear or just put around my waist if it got too hot. In other clubs in Copenhagen, they don’t make you pay for it or this is already included in the entry ticket price and you don’t need to pay extra. After this, it was very hard to enjoy the party with my friends as it had set me on a bad mood. Very unfair on me and made me feel very upset.

17/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars – A fantastic experience at Esmeralda! We had a truly wonderful experience at Esmeralda! The food was really delicious, freshly prepared and tasted absolutely fantastic – everything was as it should be. The portions were appropriate, everything came quickly, and you could really taste that love and quality are put into the ingredients. The service was top-notch. The food was served quickly and hot, and the staff were incredibly nice, smiling and attentive throughout. They came several times and asked if everything was as it should be, and if we needed anything – without it feeling intrusive in any way. It gave a really good and relaxed atmosphere. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also absolutely perfect – cozy, warm and inviting, not cold or impersonal like many other places can be. The decor was nice and cozy, and everything was clean and well-maintained, including the toilet, which means a lot to the overall impression. It all just worked: fast service, good food, cozy atmosphere and fantastic service. You felt really welcome from start to finish. We will definitely be back – Esmeralda gets our highest recommendation! If you are looking for a place with great food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, this is the place to go.

16/10/2025: Today, October 16, 2025 We were the only people. We arrived at 5:12 PM, the food came after 10 minutes. No food is ready in 10 minutes. I ordered a penne polo, but I highly doubt whether they had made it themselves in 10 minutes, or whether it was a dish from yesterday. It was pasta with some sauce on top. The food was normally hot, but the appearance looked cold. We have learned from our mistakes, we will not order from Esmeralda again. Stay away.

01/09/2025: Ordered #17 Phad Thai with shrimp and #35 Pet Sam Rote for take-away. The Phad Thai was fried rice noodles with vegetables and the shrimp of choice and it was satisfying with various sauces. Pet Sam Rote was fried duck with vegetables in red curry and rice. It was clearly fried duck, but a bit boring, and if it hadn't been for the red curry and chili sauce it would have been hard to be satisfied, but since I really like duck it was OK. The rice seemed like it was Basmati type, and it was also OK. Even though I ordered an hour in advance I was told it would be 20min late, but it was packed and ready when I picked it up. Take-away, so not much concentration on the atmosphere, but the service was polite and fast, so it was as it should be.

09/09/2025: Very ride salesperson who served guests in no order, but in his personal preferred order. We waited just in front of the checkout accounted, but the salesperson served guests who came later than us. Those guests were also like blind. They of course knew we were in front of them. Finally there was an insect in the glass exhibits of chocolate.

01/09/2025: I have a nostalgic soft spot for Vivaldi's as my band dined here while we were on tour in 2023. So when my family came to Copenhagen recently I insisted we came back. Wonderful ambience, and extremely attentive staff give this place 5* by the time you are seated. Great menu, and food came out v promptly. Food is actually amazing. Only gripe... (as a Brit) it is expensive. It was our only proper meal out in the city, so was worth it. Would recommend 100%.

28/11/2024: Overset kombination af nordiske råvare og asiatisk (vietnamesisk?) tradition. Synes det var mega godt. Klart ventetiden værd. Virkelig en lille lomme for lokale på Nørrebro. Perfekt tilberedte nudler og gode klare smage. Gode råvarer også. Husk at bestil ekstra stærkt, da det er smagt til danskernes ganer.

03/11/2024: Excellent taste. Price good compared to other restaurants in Copenhagen. You choose the ingredients of your meal. I had noodles with prawns. Plenty of prawns so definitely recommend.
