26/08/2026: After an early morning hike in Mols Bjerge National Park, we stopped at Labacate Café for a late breakfast/brunch. Bringing our dog wasn't a problem, and they offered us the option of sitting inside or in the small backyard. Hoping it wouldn't be too chilly, we opted for the outside. Unfortunately, it was quite shady there, and it wasn't the hottest day, but we didn't feel like moving again. At least it was very quiet, as most of the other guests were indeed inside. 😅 The friendly, but sometimes slightly aloof, waitress quickly informed us that she was working alone and asked us to come inside briefly to let her know once we'd finished choosing our food. So we did. Our drinks arrived shortly after. I've definitely had better iced matcha lattes, but it did the job. After a bit of a wait, our sandwiches finally arrived. I opted for the churrasco, a sourdough toast with pesto, melted cheese, Brazilian steak, caramelized onions, and chimichurri sauce. My partner chose the misto quente, a toasted sourdough sandwich with grilled cheese, pesto, cheese, and ham. At 150 to 180 crowns, the price for a sandwich was quite high, roughly 20 to 24 euros. However, both sandwiches were truly delicious and generously filled. My thin strips of steak were still nice and juicy, which isn't always the case with this type of preparation. We cleared the table and paid ourselves as we were leaving. From the display case, we also picked up a brownie and a lemon meringue tart to take away. I'd like to give these two seemingly unassuming pastries a special mention, as they deserve an extra star. The brownie was soft, baked to the absolute best, and had a wonderfully rich chocolate flavor with a hint of espresso. The crunchy whole almonds provided a perfect contrast. The small lemon tart was also a masterpiece of pastry. The sweetness and tartness were perfectly balanced, the pastry was beautifully soft and not at all dry—simply divine. Overall, Labacate Café impressed us most with its truly excellent food and outstanding pastries. While the sandwiches aren't exactly cheap, we weren't disappointed by the taste. The two pastries from the display case were a real surprise and definitely make the café an attractive option for a relaxed brunch or a sweet treat after a hike.

22/09/2026: They really live up to their name. Their coffee is SO good! Their homemade sourdough bread is the best I've ever tasted. The garden is large and cozy with old beautiful trees and a hammock. The service is friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere.

23/08/2026: Fantastically delicious burgers. Delicious sizzle, insanely good dressing, burger bun and everything in the burger. Super delicious dip to go with it. Yum yum!

30/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly fantastic evening at Focaccia ’n’ Tonic in Ebeltoft! The food was outstanding – fresh, high-quality ingredients, great combinations, and absolutely perfect in flavor. The focaccia is something truly special and highly recommended. On top of that, the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. You feel welcome from the very first minute and can immediately tell that they work with passion. The cocktails are also exceptional and perfectly round off the entire experience. For me, definitely one of the best places in Ebeltoft. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent service – highly recommended! We'll definitely be back. 🇮🇹🍹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

28/08/2026: Very tasty focaccia, light and airy dough. However, it's not exactly a bargain for German tourists. 😅 Over 20 euros per piece. But we treated ourselves to it anyway while on holiday.

16/10/2026: We went here for dinner 6 people, super cozy place, good atmosphere. The service was top notch. Can recommend everything on the menu everything just tastes great. We say thank you for the food and we will definitely come again when we are in this area.

25/09/2026: Numerous high quality small dishes. Service was excellent with highly skilled and knowledgeable personnelle. Food is prepared 'Spanish Kitchen' style, meaning it arrives whenever it's finished, making for a social dining staggered service experience. Booking a table is highly recommended as its often busy.

24/08/2026: We waited a very long time for our order. The portions are small. It's impossible to eat so much, unfortunately. But the place has an atmosphere and the staff is friendly

26/08/2026: A wonderful place to arrive, relax, and simply unwind. The idyllic location with its magnificent view of the surrounding greenery makes a visit truly special. The cozy, rural atmosphere and the lovingly designed surroundings invite you to linger and forget about everyday life for a moment. The cake was also a real highlight: wonderfully fresh, delicate, and presented with great care. Add to that a good coffee – what more could you need for a perfect afternoon? It's especially lovely to sit outside at the rustic wooden tables and enjoy the peace and quiet as well as the breathtaking view. A café with a very special charm that impresses not only with its delicious treats but above all with its atmosphere. If you're looking for an idyllic spot away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

27/09/2026: The tourists have left town; and so has the food quality at Støvlen. Wow, what a shameful experience - and there is no respect left in your kitchen for the food you make. Caesar salad - Burnt old chicken that was fried on a day that wasn't this week; cut into thick slices, and then pan-fried further (Who the hell came up with double-fried chicken and thought "wow; that's a good idea!"); the croutons were coal-black and full of burnt black oil and even the bacon was burnt off.. Talk about "I hate my job" if you can't make bacon? (Hint: 220 degrees for 12 min. hot air) Shooting star - like a real star it had fallen to the ground with meteor speed and now lay in a crater of tasteless fish and smoked salmon that smelled strange. In addition to the fact that it is build-your-own shooting star, the main star had stayed home - there were no elements in this dish that were just a little spoiled..; the different types of fish were really a boring experience and one fish tasted more self-dead than the next - you would think it was a long way to the water from Støvlen; because wow that fish was of the same quality as a Filet-o-fish and nothing on the plate was tasted and nothing has seen the shadow of salt but absolutely not a loving hand of a chef with respect for his profession.. I don't understand how you can go to work and not bother to cook; but still work in a kitchen - there is no doubt that there is *no* one who has cooked our food today who bothered to spend time being where they were - then maybe you should stay home and let youth work take over or maybe just resell the Føtex canteen's food at an affordable price; because this was damn embarrassing and disrespectful to the double-fried-chicken and stone-dead-fish. Are you crazy it was a disappointing experience and those who were at work today for lunch should be damn ashamed.

14/10/2026: Large beautiful areas and friendly staff. Would especially recommend going on the Safari and train tour! The food in their street food is unfortunately far too bad and far too expensive. The burgers were pre-packaged and therefore the bun was unfortunately a bit dry and the contents a bit soggy. The other stalls were unfortunately closed which is a bit of a shame on the first day of the autumn holidays.

26/08/2026: Even before our week-long vacation in Denmark near Mols Bjerge National Park, we researched our dining options and contacted several restaurants to ask if they would allow our small Pomeranian. Every single restaurant confirmed that this was no problem, as long as the dog was quiet and didn't disturb the service. We were already overwhelmed by the many positive responses and now had significantly more restaurants to choose from than we had originally expected. Of course, we couldn't try them all in such a short time, but we chose, among others, Restaurant Moment, which made a truly special impression. Their strong focus on regionality, sustainability, and combining homegrown produce with culinary expertise are all qualities that resonate deeply with me. It's no wonder the restaurant was awarded a Michelin Green Star. They were expecting us and had prepared a table especially for us and our dog, a bit away from the other guests and offering more space than usual. We received a very warm welcome and were exceptionally well looked after by the staff. Great care was taken not only to offer the drinks and food, but also to explain the restaurant's concept and ensure we and our four-legged friend had a truly enjoyable evening. The chefs themselves sometimes brought the dishes to the table to briefly discuss the ingredients, their vision, and the individual components. I would love to describe each dish individually, but that would go beyond the scope of this review. What I can say for sure, however, is that both the omnivorous and vegetarian menus were not only technically perfect, but also demonstrated a wonderfully creative approach to the available ingredients, flavors, and textures. The dishes didn't seem haphazard, but rather very well thought out and carefully considered, and harmonious both in their sequence and as a whole. Both menus left nothing to be desired, and even as an omnivore, I would have been very happy with the vegetarian option. Beverage pairings, the addition of caviar or truffles, a cheese selection, and coffee and sweets to finish are entirely optional, and no one will bat an eye if you decline them. For example, we aren't wine drinkers, but we opted for a non-alcoholic mocktail as an aperitif and fermented juices with two courses, which pleasantly surprised us, as we don't usually place much importance on drinks. If I could repeat the menu, I would definitely choose the juice pairing next time. One dish I must highlight in particular: The salad for dessert was quite daring, but it worked well, and even though the idea seemed almost obvious, it was very harmoniously executed. Would I perhaps have preferred a more classic dessert course with high-quality pastry work? Maybe. Perhaps I wouldn't have asked myself that question if we had finished with sweets. In any case, this course will likely remain in every guest's memory. We were absolutely thrilled with the hospitality and the food served, and we can highly recommend the restaurant to any culinary enthusiast visiting the region.

18/08/2026: After two weeks in Denmark, this is our favorite restaurant. A fantastic location, excellent service, and above all, local food – no frills, just delicious flavor. €600 for two is a hefty price, but in this case, it was justified!
