12/08/2026: We sat outside for four quarters of an hour and got no service... we left

07/08/2026: It went completely wrong during our visit. My daughter got goosebumps and we didn't get any wet wipes or buckets for our feet. We asked twice for wet wipes but never got them! My steak had to go back out it was completely battered and tough so had to eat it alone. And no one came and followed up. Had to get up myself to say it and ask for help.

14/09/2026: The pizza was absolutely delicious! Nice and thin, crispy crust, and generously topped. It looks very unassuming from the inside and outside, but the service was also very friendly :)

Hyttens on Boulevarden 7 has a distinct Italian feel with a focus on pizzas baked in a stone oven over a live fire and good Italian ingredients. The menu offers both classic Italian pizzas and more creative variants, so there is something for most people. It is an obvious place for a quick lunch, a cozy dinner or take-away if you want to enjoy pizza at home. The location in the city center makes it easy to stop by, and it is open every day of the week from 11:00 to 21:00. Can be recommended to anyone looking for Italian pizza with a crispy base, good ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere in Aalborg.

24/07/2026: A very interesting location with very good food and very friendly service

06/07/2026: I remember Pingvin as a really good place to eat from when it was in the city center. Unfortunately, it seems that the place has lost some of its charm after moving to Stjernepladsen. The food was quite good, but the next day I had difficulty remembering the menu or any special taste experiences. It simply did not make a noticeable impression. Unfortunately, the decor also detracted from the experience. Both the chairs, tables and the general atmosphere reminded me of an older, slightly run-down pizzeria in the province. I can't remember exactly what the decor was like in the old premises, but my friend and I both immediately noticed the lack of quality in the furnishings and the somewhat sad decor. Our waiter naturally asked if we wanted coffee or dessert after the meal. But after almost two hours on the chairs, my lower back was so sore that I didn't want to sit a minute longer than necessary - not even if the coffee had been free. Overall, the visit was okay, but the experience unfortunately did not live up to the positive memories I had from Pingvin's previous location. 3 tiny stars will do, but 2 stars wouldn't be quite right either.

07/08/2026: We ended up here on recommendation. The table had a mixed selection of meats that was certainly of good quality. We had no complaints about the food. The service was somewhat lacking and very stiff. Possibly there were student workers or temporary staff on duty; we cannot judge that. A bottle of wine is supposed to be opened at the table. If you order extra side dishes with your order, it is nice for them to arrive along with the dishes. An extra side dish took a very long time, so everyone had already eaten. There are a few other things like that which are why we are only giving the service a 3. With the right staff, this would be a top-notch experience.

11/08/2026: During our tour of Denmark, we also visited Aalborg. Looking for an Italian restaurant, we ended up at Fellini. Since we hadn't made a reservation, they had to rearrange the furniture a bit to make room for us. Besides the delicious starter, the lasagna was the highlight for us! We have never eaten anything this good! (And we are connoisseurs!) If we are in the area again, we will definitely eat here again (and make sure to make a reservation this time).

19/09/2026: ONE OF THE WORST FOOD EXPERIENCES! We were at Burger King at Bilka around 8:00 PM, and unfortunately it was one of the worst food experiences I can remember. It started when an employee brought our food to the table. She placed the food on the table while looking somewhere else, without even saying hello. I even said “Hello”, but got no response, after which she just walked away. It may be a small thing, but unfortunately it says a lot about the service and the lack of interest in the customers. There were four of us, but we only got two forks. In addition, our cola was served without a straw. We therefore had to go up to the staff twice to get the things we should have had with our food. Then came the food itself. The Hot Wings were really disappointing – in fact extremely bad. They were very dark in color, and several of the pieces seemed to come from very small birds. There were almost only bones and very little meat. It was honestly hard to understand how they could be served like that. The burgers were cold and there was hardly any sauce in them. This made them dry and even less appetizing. When you pay for fast food, you may not expect a gourmet experience, but you do expect hot food, decent quality and the basics you ordered. When we were leaving, we tried to salvage the experience a bit for our kids by ordering four different ice creams through the ordering screen. We paid, but shortly after we were told that it was too late, that they could no longer make any of the ice creams and that they would have to refund the money. So we ended up with cold burgers, lousy Hot Wings, missing cutlery and straws, a very poor service experience and finally no ice cream for the kids. I completely understand that things can go wrong in a busy restaurant, but when so many things go wrong in the same visit, it is simply a bad customer experience from start to finish. I honestly will not be doing it again. That was the last time I ate here.
