25/11/2025: Really good service over email and a really great selection of coffee beans!

31/10/2025: Super delicious pastries, especially some really good chocolate croissants. However, you often leave empty-handed, as they are always sold out and in very limited quantities. The staff is hard to get a smile out of, which doesn't make the experience particularly good. When you pay 42 kr. for a croissant and come there regularly, a smile and thus some service is the least you can expect.

05/07/2026: We chose the tasting menu with high expectations, but unfortunately this was a big disappointment. Several of the fish dishes smelled old and had a distinct taste of cod liver oil, which gave the impression that the fish was not fresh. The taste was so unpleasant that it ruined the whole experience. As a Norwegian, I am used to fresh seafood, and this was far below the level I expect - especially at this price. The presentation of the dishes was nice, but it doesn't help much when the quality of the ingredients is not up to par. Considering the high price level, we expected a first-class dining experience. Instead, we were left with the feeling of having paid a lot for food that did not live up to expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the tasting menu based on this experience.

10/06/2026: Delicious food, fantastic fusion food that surprises every time. Exquisite and well-chosen wine menus. The only downside is that the restaurant can seem a bit cold especially when it is not full of people

14/06/2026: Have been here before, but this time it was much worse. We had all inclusive. Slow service. Starter and main course were not good.

14/06/2026: Very pleasantly surprised by Drunkrn Beer Pot! Very satisfied, the beer was absolutely delicious!

08/06/2026: Bought an animal that unfortunately turned out to be so burned that it died shortly after.

04/06/2026: A lot of difference in guidance in the same department depending on who you talk to. More expensive than other places, but quality goods. They have a large selection and you can get most things

08/06/2026: Tipped off by store staff, we took the elevator and stairs to the roof terrace. The weather was beautiful and there was a lovely view over Aalborg and the surrounding area.

04/06/2026: Quite by chance we discovered that the elevator takes you straight to the roof of the department store, where there is a beautiful view in all directions. Both the part of the city around the fjord, and on the other side over the roofs of houses and beyond. The food was fantastic, large portions, but the staff was not very fast. We wanted to pack the rest of the food home, but we had to remind ourselves twice before someone even came to take the leftovers and bring the boxes.

17/05/2026: Really good service and delicious food.

11/05/2026: The lunch steak didn't quite live up to the price of about 175,- asked for medium rare and it was closer to well done! There were large fries where some were half limp and hadn't had enough. Despite being full, the food came pretty quickly and that and the service level positively contributed. NB and it was eaten up. 🙂👍

17/08/2025: A pleasant wine bar with outdoor seating on the pedestrian square and several well-appointed indoor rooms. Professional and prompt service. Extensive list of high-end Italian wines. Moderate prices.

30/06/2026: I could put a lot of good superlatives but that's already there. Lovely food. No one in our room had coffee. It was apparently at the bar. Although the waitress claimed that it was mentioned, it's strange that no one had caught it. It could be a good custom to tell people about it. The farewell song was harsh and impersonal. It's 10:30. We're closing now. Thank you for tonight. Instead you could use: it was really nice to have your company. We thank you for tonight and hope that you had an equally lovely evening. The atmosphere has received the number of stars as it was packed with people and therefore very loud. However, I will admit that that part is individual. I would recommend the food, but you have to remember that coffee and cake are not served, but are self-picked up, for next time. Also let the farewell song pass over your head.👍👍👍

24/05/2026: Really disappointing experience at Det Glade Vanvid in Aalborg. We were kicked out straight away, even though we were just having a good time and enjoying ourselves. Free wine was included, and we sat quietly and chatted with the table next to us – exactly as you would expect in a cozy restaurant with a social atmosphere. The staff handled the situation incredibly poorly and seemed very unwelcoming. It ruined the whole evening for us. Unfortunately, we won't be back and can't recommend the place to others.

23/05/2026: Small cozy restaurant with a beautiful view of the Limfjord. We had open sandwiches, which were both tasty, creative and a little different in just the right way. A place that is definitely recommended.

22/05/2026: 🍷🍽️😄 Restaurant JØRN – big ambitions, huge passion and one piece of meat from hell 😄🍽️🍷 So we've been to Restaurant JØRN – and the first thing you notice is actually something quite simple: there are no tables crammed in 👏 Wait a minute, what a difference it makes. No cafeteria atmosphere, no people squashed together like herring in tomato sauce 🐟😂 It gives peace, good sound, better atmosphere and most importantly: the plate taxis actually have space to work without looking like someone playing Tetris on hard mode. We threw ourselves into their social dining menu 🍽️ and in general… wow. This is a place that really tries to play on the fine gastronomic keys 🎶 And you know what? They hit them really well by a long way. The dishes were current, fresh and well thought out – you could clearly feel that there is a chef in the kitchen with ambitions bigger than the average person’s dream of living 😅 But hold on… the male plate taxi 👏🔥 I usually never mention people directly in reviews, but that man deserves praise. I have rarely met a person with such great passion for service, craftsmanship and professional pride. Not in the boastful way – but in that calm, authoritarian and extremely professional way, where you just think: “That guy… he loves his job.” It is seriously a pleasure to experience people who are so passionate about their profession ❤️ That kind of service is now rarer than free parking in Aarhus 😂 And then to the only real problem… the main course 🥩💀 The meat. Hold on. Now. Shut up. I don't know if I was served beef or an old leather belt from a pirate movie ⚔️😅 It was so cool that my knife and fork looked like two tired pensioners arm-in-arm with a piece of concrete. I honestly had doubts whether I was eating food… or trying to break down industrial rubber with cutlery 🍴😂 Unfortunately, it ruined quite a lot of the main course, because the taste was actually good – but when your jaws start working overtime like a gym in January, you lose focus a bit 😭 And that's honestly a shame. Because the rest of the experience is at a really high level. Restaurant JØRN is not Michelin… but they seriously play on the good keys 🎶 And by and large, they do it really well. ⭐🍽️🍽️🍽️🍽️ 4 out of 5 plates (the fifth was still stuck between my teeth along with the main course) 😅

11/04/2026: The fish soup was fantastic. And that created high expectations for the next dish. Unfortunately, they were not met. Boring fish fritters for 159 kr. There are many extra payments on the menu that give a slightly sad nickel and dime vibe. When buying wine you have to pay for water. We will not be back
